and he has personally requested YOU to hunt him down! I can imagine this will turn into a pretty good crime adventure, I like the storyline with the connection between the killer and the detective. It will be an interesting cat and mouse chase.
This game has exceptional graphics and the colors are fabulous. The characters are well rendered but facial expression was lacking. The voices could have displayed more emotion which would've enhanced the interactions between the characters. But it was not a distraction, by any means.
I. right away, had to deal with locks and keys in the demo. Thankfully, they were easily found and the tasks weren't delaying my progressive. The items for inventory were quickly put to use, so there was no backup. A couple of things made no sense, like why the detective used a glass cutter to open his own cabinet and he travels to a crime scene on a rusty old bicycle. But silly things are seen in every game, aren't they? Some more so than others!
I loved the interactive items in the scenes. for instance the kite and the flower pot. Click on everything and it's possible that something unexpected might happen. Some of the items I needed seemed to be rather small, but not too troublesome. I encountered only one HOP in the demo, stopping 15 min early I may have missed more. This one, however, was presented on a computer and I enjoyed it a lot. I played one mini-game, a maze, incredibly easy. There is an alternative Match 3 game available, as well.
The map was found in living room, a very good one which had swift response and also showed any collectibles in each location. That's a feature I always appreciate. Also a tab pops out when one is found, to help you keep track. As usual. Domini has supplied us with a fun variety of collectibles and some are quite small, I liked the origami objects. There are origamis, art supplies, notes and coins to collect. The 92 coins are for purchasing office items. There are achievements that are the usual in most games. I don't know if there are more goodies, as I haven't purchased the game yet.
My main concern is with the number of puzzles and HOPs within. A huge amount of mini-games will keep me from purchasing. So, I've got my fingers crossed that there is a good balance of HOPs and puzzles. I want to enjoy a HOPA game that actually contains what the category indicates. I like mini-games but an abundance of them really turns me off, especially with the shorter supply of HOPs.
I liked that we can choose either Easy or Hard mode for the games. Some of them are real sticklers and I haven't the patience to forge on, after several attempts at solving. Also, was happy to find that the Hint and Skip times were adjustable to ZERO seconds. That works for me, big time!
This game has the usual variety of play modes, so you can choose your degree of challenge. This feature is nice because it can be enjoyed regardless of skill level. Art of Murder presents a theme that sparked my interest. I always love mystery and crime stories, and this one will hopefully end up in my collection.
I found this game rather drab. The graphics were weak in appeal, colors and images were unattractive. The puzzles were very easy to complete, so without the challenge it would swiftly become boring. The sounds were annoying, the tutorial offered little guidance, features and hint system left me feeling kind of "HUH??"
I finished 6 levels in the demo and knew it would be a no-buy. As with Little Red Riding Hood, it is lacking the special creative touch that makes a mosaic game so much fun. It is easy enough for beginners, kids too with a little adult help. I would probably like the fairytale pictures more, at a much younger age.
Not a really bad game, but missing that special something that I feel makes a noticeable difference in quality. I really enjoy fairytale themes, and hope that Fairytale Mosaics will work on some changes that will bring us a smashing new game, next time.
but you'll find me on THIS one every time! I've been a fan from the beginning and though it rarely changes, if ever, each game delivers quality hidden object challenge and fun puzzles for the entire family. You won't miss any of the entertainment by not owning the CE. It still contains a grand amount of HOPs and good variety of puzzles that can be played over and over again.
The ship is full of hustle and bustle, the passengers disembark at various ports and each scene is crowded and busy with people, little things going on in the background, ship activities to keep the boredom at bay, and the ideal crew keeps everyone happy.
The graphics are excellent, very sharp and so colorful, and I love the use of real-people characters. There is never a tech problem to interrupt the game. Some gamers mentioned an extra step involved to download, but that did not happen with me and everything runs smoothly.
With each new cruise being basically the same as the others, I am amazed that I still find it so delightful. It is a long game that has great replay value, it's good clean fun for all and keeps my HO skills from waning. The objects are small, some are hidden inside something and litter needs to be collected. The hint button won't leave you stranded but it does affect your score a little, the scoreboard after each level shows your accomplishments.
If you have not given this HO game a try yet, you may be very pleasantly surprised at what you find. A great entertainment value that (for me) is a nice break from the usual fare, I replay all of them a lot along with all the Park Ranger games. The demo doesn't scrimp, either, on the fun you can expect in the full version. No evil, no fantasy, no crazy tasks here, Just good old HO enjoyment.
I bought the CE when it first came out and I enjoyed it very much. Tweaked fairytales are always fun with their oddities and quirky characters. The assembly of characters from several other tales added more interest to the storyline. The graphics were excellent and Domini had their finger in the neon paint bucket again, but still, the colors were all well suited to this adventure. The voices and music were good and the game moved along at a nice pace.
I wasn't too annoyed with all the tasks, but found many of them silly and unnecessary time wasters. The gadget here is a magic wand and since I hate gadgets, I was prepared for the worst. However, it turned out to be okay, not used excessively, so I survived.
The HOPs were great fun for me, as usual. I'm not a fan of puzzles, these were of average challenge and I played most of them. A good variety. I was especially delighted with Dark Deal because it had a fair balance of HOPs and puzzles. I no longer buy games that are filled with an unreasonable amount of games. I appreciate that Domini didn't get carried away and I was able to enjoy this entertaining fairy tale.
All the usual features and options were available. The choices of game modes invites any skill level to enjoy this fairytale adventure. It wasn't a spectacular game, but provided an afternoon get-away from the stresses of the virus situation. And that makes it a A-OK with me!
I have a strong feeling that this series will be very successful. It brings us a great puzzle package with lots of features that we jigsaw lovers have been wanting forever. This developer seems to know what it takes when it comes to creativity and quality.
I didn't care much for Roads of Life because the pictures were too dark and it slowed everything to a snail's pace for me. With it being so difficult to see, I didn't finish the demo. This time, however, it was a positive experience and I bought A Lost Story.
With all the features and options available, I can't imagine any puzzle nut finding something negative about it. The artwork is divine with its beautiful images and the dark isn't so overwhelming this time for me. The Zoom feature is super helpful and the Outline options give the pieces more definition, making assembly much easier on the eyes. There isn't a mega amount of puzzles but with the range of sizes available (up to 1000 pieces), I can see great replay value here.
I like how the story was emerging with each new puzzle. The music though beautiful, I can do without. The click of the puzzle pieces, I cannot. The sound is important to me because it indicates that I found the right place for the piece. Silly, but a necessity! I love the Timed Mode for extra challenge sometimes, I enjoy Relaxed because I can take my sweet time rearranging the pieces before I start assembly.
It has been a fun experience so far and being able to save my progress when I need a break is a crucial option that is much appreciated. There are so many things I love about this game, I'm glad other fishies will cover more territory in their reviews than I am able to. Glad I gave A Lost Story a chance, since I was a little underwhelmed with Roads of Life.
With A Lost Story, Puzzle Pieces 2 and Jigsaws Galore, I am in Jigsaw Heaven! Thanks dev, for this fun & challenging treat. I hope you will be back with more beautiful journeys, we need you!!
Fantasy Mosaics is a very fine series that never fails to bring us excellent nonograms with each new release. I own 20 of these and still have a few left unfinished because I lost interest. I do, however, check out the demo for each new game, but find nothing to inspire purchasing another.
The penguin family just doesn't hold the appeal it once had, it feels worn out. I really love the newer mosaic series that are available now and their cute storylines. They, too, are quality games and are a refreshing change in my collection
So many penguin adventures wouldn't be bad, I guess, if they presented something new once in a while. But everything stays the same and I don't even enjoy the decorating anymore. I wish this developer would retire the penguins and bring us a new critter family, create a different kind of area to decorate and change up the music a little. There are so many animal characters that would bring some new life and sweetness to the adventures and keep the fans always looking forward to more.
Fantasy Mosaics 42 was a little trip to Fairyland and Penny was delighted at her discovery. And I was delighted with all the really cute images and the colors were so well suited to the theme. I love fairies! Each picture, as always, was an adorable creation and easily recognizable except for one that had me a little baffled even with the label. First time that ever happened, lol.
I highly recommend this mosaic series for beautiful nonograms that are relaxing and fun. This is a great genre that provides me with endless hours of entertainment. Fairyland is another winner if you are not yet tired of the penguins!
and Labyrinths of the World is one of my favorite series. I believe Domini Games will not falter in keeping it at the top. Of course they are at it again with their green and purple obsession which disrupts the scene's beauty sometimes. However, I am resolved to accepting it by now since it will never go away
Hearts of the Planet has a great storyline that, right away, influenced my decision to buy this game. The "inner world" theme always intrigues me, usually displaying unique creatures and emotional/physical conflict with the humans who suddenly appear in their world. With the magic and technology elements added to the story, it has created an interesting adventure.
This game shows off beautiful, sharp graphics that greatly enhance the background detail. The colors are strong and at times almost too vivid. Each scene is full of interesting things to capture your interest and the artwork is grand which makes a huge impact on my enjoyment of a game.
In Hearts of the Planet, the characters and voices are done very well, no annoying factors to interfere with their visual appeal or dialogue. The sound f/x were excellent and the music was not intrusive. The underwater scenes in the BC were just gorgeous. This game displays a lot of detailed beauty that really makes the story come alive, in my opinion.
The HOPs were quite good with a variety of more creative ones. I actually enjoyed most of the puzzles, not overly difficult. I'm not a great fan of puzzles, so this was a very good thing that I survived, lol.
Domini inspired me to buy this game, not only with their awesome workmanship but with the smaller amount of puzzles. I so appreciate the more reasonable balance of HOPs and puzzles here, since this was a storyline that especially appealed to me.
I have reluctantly passed up so many games due to the ridiculous amount of puzzles, small amount of HOPs. For me 40, 50, 60 puzzles is just not an option and I quit spending $$ on them. It isn't fair to the HOP fans and there's not much room for a story NOT condensed, to make room for them. So thank you, Domini, for allowing me to enjoy this fun game!
I didn't run into any glitches and the game progressed smoothly at a good pace. The tasks didn't burden me with a lot of time or travel. The features offered help make the game a fun experience regardless of skill level with the variety of mode options, adjustable hint/skip time, and user-friendly map.
There isn't an abundance of collectibles, there are 40 achievements, items can be purchased for a garden with collected coins, all the HOPs and 18 puzzles can be replayed. But for me, this was enough to make it a good CE deal, in addition to the decent BC and strategy guide. It was a nice, long entertaining game .
Domini is well known for the quality and beauty in their creations . They know how to do it right. Too bad so many other devs can't seem to deliver the same quality and caring attention to their games.
Give the demo a spin, maybe this will be a treat for you, too. In my opinion, Labyrinths of the World is a good series that always bring us interesting adventures. Hopefully it will be around for along time in the good hands of Domini.
Many thanks for this lovely series and the abundance of levels that provide such great enjoyment. Didn't have to think twice about purchasing Small Islanders. I jumped right in and today's sale made it easy on the old pocketbook. This was just what I needed to spruce up a dreary, rainy day!
I love the story which tells of a Girl Scout joining a Boy Scout sailing event. A storm shipwrecks her on a deserted island but she isn't alone for long. 4 sweet island guardians show up to lend some help and our Girl Scout can find comfort in her otherwise dire situation. The storyline was a nice addition, as it was in Forest Spirits.
I like the way the grid fills up with the picture. Though, recognizable, the images are labeled and are all delightful. The colors are bright, but not overly so, which makes the tones more appealing to me. A nice variety, too. There are 6 tile choices, pretty basic styles, but fun to try them all throughout the game. I really appreciate that they are large-sized, making it easier on my eyes. You are allowed 4 errors and the hint and help features are not fancy, Adventure Mosaics isn't loaded with extra stuff like other mosaic games but it makes no difference in the quality or function of the game. It was all fine and there were no tech issues to interrupt the fun.
There are items to collect along the way and 10 pretty wallpapers you can set and enjoy. The music is quite pleasant. There is an Easy and Advanced Mode. I usually switch back and forth as the challenge changes, as I travel further into the game. My nonogram skills are not at expert level, but I so much enjoy trying to improve them. I am so addicted to these games and find them relaxing and frustrating and fun, all at the same time.
I highly recommend this series and hope to see more from this developer, who does a stellar job in this genre.
Well, the name of this Match 3 and the spaceship theme led me to thinking this should be great. I was eager to try the demo after reading the synopsis. The game fell far short of its description. I remember playing this type of match game years ago, dropping the boxes onto the pile, the goal being to prevent the stack from reaching the top. So right away, this had an outdated feel to it. But my curiosity kept me going for a while.
The mechanics definitely need improving, the game was not fun and even when I dropped my appropriate matches, it was not always acknowledged as a match. This made it frustrating and more difficult than need be, slowing the pace of the game. The game offers 3 play modes, but then you discover that a required number of levels have to be cleared before you can access the modes. This seemed silly to me and I soon lost interest in continuing on.
Frankly, I didn't play much of the demo because it just felt like an unpleasant chore to keep going. I was disappointed since quality Match 3 games are so scarce these days. The spaceship theme seemed like a great idea to bring some new life into this much loved genre.
Maybe you will have a more positive experience than I did and I hope it turns out to be a better game than what the demo shows. I just couldn't hang in there til the end because my expectations weren't satisfied in the least. Try the demo, judge for yourself.
Merlin is being a meanie and has stolen the sun to keep his "corner of the world" warm and bright. An interesting little story. ! wonder what the outcome will be?! This Match 3 series quickly became popular with its spectacular boards and fun power-ups. The graphics always brightly colored with interesting images and great sound effects.
The quirky little ghosties are always up to something, no matter where they settle and building is their thing. I love the cute squeak of the female ghost when she is clicked. And old grumpy's attitude never waivers. I enjoy the silliness of the storylines.
The mini-games are always the same, my faves being spot the difference and hidden object. I really think the solitaire and mahjong are way too easy, making them boring. It would be nice if each new release would feature a couple of new games to keep the ho-hums away or at least add more challenge to those easiest ones.
I completed the demo and saw pretty much the same as the previous games. However, Number 10 didn't feel as challenging as before. I had no difficulty accessing the coins to clear the board and I found no challenge in moving the flames along this time. It was far too simple and boredom started to diminish my interest. The board images were not as brightly colored nor as attractive as in the other Laruaville games.
These things were not big negatives but, for me, they made a difference in the level of enjoyment. The bonus games are still good for extra play and I absolutely love helping our little ghost pals with their building projects. The game ran with no tech issues, I have never run into any problems in the past.
Laruaville is a terrific series that brings fun to all. It may be a bit frustrating for beginners, but once you realize it's all about the coins it is far less frustrating. Just focus on your approach to clearing the coins. It has always been lots of fun and worth the price of admission. Bonus Punch Monday makes it even better. In spite of my minor complaints this time around, I have added this 10th edition to my collection and will enjoy this fine Match 3 game many times over. Good replay value, good family fun.
P.S. In the beginning of the game, I was surprised to see His name in the dialogue of a cartoon character.
