I like the games from this developer. This is the first time that there were both morph and things to find such as skulls, which I must admit were not easy to locate!
There were two things that I found irksome:
1. After playing the bonus game and going back to find some missing morphs and skulls (always an excellent feature), I was unable to unlock another bonus game which I understand was a puzzle which I can only think is because I didn't fine all the morphs in a HOS.
That just irritated me. To purchase a game that is additional dollars and not be able to access all the features I think is wrong.
2. The only other complaint I have about the main game was the annoyance of using the talisman and the skulls in the grid. I found that to be a gap filler to make the game longer and it was unnecessary.
With regards to the game itself I found it to be interesting with lots of things to do, though a few too many HOS for my taste, some puzzles that were a bit challenging so I skipped them, good voice overs etc.
I still recommend this game based on length etc. - just make sure you get all morphs not only in the main game but also in the HOS which I think was my downfall.
I was really excited to play this game, but I couldn't get outside and move around like normal games. Yes there were puzzles inside HOPS after HOPS. That's all the game is! No walking around, looking at things and doing HOPS with a timer. Sorry, this is not an MCF game - it's a no for me.
I was quite into this game loved the different scenes, things to do, different mini-games, not too many HOPS, collecting the owls (missed 1 cat), but the bonus game was a disappointment. It went for 20 mins if that. Had I known that, I wouldn't have bought the CE version as it wasn't worth the extra $$ and the bonus game wasn't a must have.
I say that I recommend the game, but only in the standard version.
I love jigsaw puzzles and can't play the normal ones because of a bad back. I remember the good old days sitting around a table with my family and chatting while putting a puzzle together.
Even though this game obviously doesn't provide that, it does provide satisfying clicks and zings when you join a piece together and is challenging enough to scratch your head wondering where the required piece is.
With all these doom, gloom, dark and similar games, it's nice to have something different to play.
There are a few negative things though - at times it's hard to grab the piece as it keeps turning and you need to have two hands rather than just clicking on a piece and plonking that where you want it to go.
The music - immediately turned off. If there was nice background music to choose from or even better still a selection of music depending on your mood, taste, that would be perfect.
Having stars under the puzzles that have been completed would also be useful so you can see which ones earned 3 stars, two stars and so on - at first glance.
Other than these minor items, I'm enjoying this game.
I gave this demo two goes because the first time I played it I didn't like it and then the second time I played it I still didn't like it.
It just seemed like the developers were in a rush to get it finished without much thought about the game play. The storyline was weak, I couldn't skip the dialogue, there were activities that repeated themselves over and over, like find shapes for a story or find stones, then iron bars then crates to free someone.
Really loving this game. Voice overs are great, graphics crisp and clear, lots of puzzles and things to do and not many HOPS which is my fave. I'm still in the demo so not sure if you get to play every investigation, but that would be cool if you could.
These days I generally skip the story as all I care about is the game play, which is why it's not 5 points. The challenge is also 4 because the puzzles aren't that hard - which personally I prefer as there is nothing worse than being stuck on a puzzle for ages (luckily there is the skip option).
The little scarecrow is cute - have seen him before and he's not overbearing or annoying. He's just 'there.'
The game has all the attributes to make me want for a sale or hope I have credits so I can purchase it as am a bit skint. I wish the 'free games' could be built up to earn points so you could use them to get a collectors game (sorry off topic).
I also liked that I could choose the voice and person playing - the female voice sounds exactly like Nancy Drew's voice.
I won't repeat what others have said regarding the overall game itself, just what I thought of it once finished.
This was one of the shortest games I've played to date and because of that, I gave it 4 stars not five. For the $ value, this is not the best, but the graphics, voice overs, storyline make the game.
I still recommend the game if you are after something to take your mind away for a couple of hours.

This game kept me engrossed from the beginning. I'm not usually one to play a game with scary bits, but this one did not frighten me at all, though I suspect if you played it on a large screen in the dark you might jump a few times...I jumped only once and was ready for the 'others'.
The woman's voice over was not my cup of tea, but the remainder were very good and apt.
The storyline was intriguing and made you want to keep going to find the answers.
The bonus game was of good length and added to the story - you need the CE to pair the two.
I'd definitely look out for more games from this developer as the graphics are crisp and clear and the overall gameplay top notch.

This game is an absolute feast for the eyes and mind.
From stunning scenery, excellent voice overs, many varied mini-games, glass shards to find (not that easy), multiple locations and best of all, an amazing length.
There were tinsy tiny things that irked, like the silhouette picture puzzle (luckily not too many) and the cartoon 'movie scenes'...however, with the game being as dazzling as it is, these are easy to overlook.
As previously mentioned the length of the game was amazing. It seemed to go forever and in fact took me days to complete, even after skipping puzzles. Playing full time, the game would have taken roughly 12 hours to play without skipping any games.
For 'bang for your buck' this game is way at the top.
