there were too many HOS.
The beginning of the game really draws you in, until almost at the end you realize you're playing HOS after HOS. Though different to the standard HOS, the same format is repeated more often than not which for me, grew wearisome.
If there were less HOS, I would have given this 5 stars due to the storyline, the feeling like it was a true murder mystery with no unrealistic animals and a forensic kit that is not overly used. The graphics and voices were excellent.
For those who love lots of HOS with some action involved, this'll be right up their alley.
Rarely do I purchase a game without trying it first. Alas this was one I didn't and regret buying it. It was so boring I only continued to complete it because it had been paid for... rarely do I wish a game to hurry up so it ends.
The graphics were ok, but the blue fluff things were annoying and the challenges with bad people were repeated, something I detest, even though they were defeated in 3 goes.
Luckily the bonus chapter was incredibly short.
Lesson learnt... always try a game before you buy!

Just as I was beginning to fall in love with the game it finished. Off to the extra section to find a bonus game but disappointed to find there wasn't any. I don't understand how this can be classified as a CE when there wasn't anything different or added between the standard version.
It would be nice sometimes if BFG would put out a nice standard game without calling it a CE. I think CE games have lost their impact; all games are pretty much CEs and it's hard now to find a good standard game to use up those punch cards...
Anyway, back to the game. Loved the storyline though a bit sad, graphics were excellent, reminded me of another game that I can't remember where you were literally on your own. Lots of things to do; though no morphing objects, no collectibles just good old fashioned playing a game.
I hope the second in the series provides a better ending and a bonus game.
I really tried to like this game, but the objects were so tiny, in the HOS and in the game play itself. If they were larger, I probably would be purchasing this, but since I need a magnifying glass, it's a no for me.
Another great game that is full of things to do, great graphics, an interesting plot without being dark. Although it kind of reminded me of an older style game, I still loved it...now just looking for the perfect partner to it so I can get it on sale!
Absolutely loved, loved this game. So refreshing to see a game that is not dark, has beautiful scenery, nice voice overs, lots of things to do and find. Bought it after 10 mins of playing - more like this please BF.
I really look forward to this game every year...but this time, I was disappointed. I thought it was not as good as previous versions and was cheesy and low budget, if that makes sense. Usually this developer creates great games.
This one is excellent. Lots of things to do - love the little hint at the side as to what to look for, loved all the things that needed to be done, the graphics, interesting HOS...all of it!
That's how good it is. Nothing better than a game that sucks you in straight from the beginning!
I won't repeat what everyone else has already said...except that this is the FIRST game I have not seen that annoying intro to turn your sound on! Yay!!!
*doing a happy dance*
Can't wait to put some time aside and play this until the end!
