The previous ones in this series had too many very faded objects in the background that were way too hard for me to see at all, so I gave up on them after trying to find even 80% of the objects in 1 or 2 scenes after more than 10 minutes each.
THIS one had a lot clearer objects, even though some hidden well, so I enjoyed it.
1) the 2nd scene had SCRAMBLED LETTERS, which I hate because I'm awful at this and there was no option to have lists unscrambled;
2) I actually liked the 'find the difference' except you need to find 25 differences in a small screen area, so I gave up at 22.
The graphics for the h/o scenes very nice and fun to find the items, but 1) above is a automatic 'no buy' for me. I would have bought otherwise even though it is a very simplified h/o (no links to other scenes, no finding consistent items each level (at least so far), and the magnifying glass small and not great, but I really liked the crisp, attractive scenes.
So, if you are one of those who like, or don't mind, the jumbled letters h/o, then you might enjoy this.
There are so many of these out, most very similar. But the Developer actually made this one nicely enhancing the graphics and story line (one of first I found interesting). Even the game board play upgraded enough with nice, large, clean tiles.
Only possible glitch in my first level only quick play was that several of the tiles that SHOULD have matched, did NOT match - but those same type of matches DID match in most others.
But there have been so few even remotely decent NEW Match 3s that I appreciated this Seller actually making an effort to upgrade this type.
I have to install this game on a seldom used Win 10 computer (like win 7 much better) as ALL 3 of these games won't play on my Win 7 main desktop (I can get main screens, but won't start any play).
BUT, the game is cute and creative enough to buy and turn on my other computer when i want to play it. But DEVELOPERS, PLEASE FIX the inability to enjoy on older computers.
I was really looking forward to seeing some of the gorgeous Canadian scenery. But after two VERY ANNOYING GAME PLAY DUE TO AWFUL MIXED UP LETTERS, I ended up just WASTING MY TIME AND MONEY. Such a shame that the Developer did NOT ALLOW OPTION to CHANGE to NORMAL SPELLING!!
I've been so frustrated with this series - especially hating the long black filled areas that block the fire from continuing, but also didn't fully understand the playing logistics to win. Fortunately, I continued to buy ALL due to the great reviews, hoping I would get the hang of it.
After playing #12, it was so much fun that I am going back through all the earlier ones I was so frustrated with., and I LOVE THESE. VERY CLEVER and, except for my continuing annoyance when the black areas show up on some rounds, I smile at their layouts and feel much more comfortable understanding MOST of the concepts. WORTH WORKING WITH for those who had the same problem as me. Note: I ESPECIALLY love their MAHJONG MINI GAMES that allow a FREE tile that you can minipulate - makes it still a good challenge, but also WAY MORE FUN! THANK YOU!
I'm really enjoying this game play and feel the CE is worth the extra. I didn't care for these when I first tried them, but once I got the hang of the obstacles, my enjoyment was much better..
My main objection to the previous versions of this game was that the background tiles you need to clear are all in a PURPLE that looked VERY SIMILAR to the color the tiles were AFTER you cleared the tile! Made it very frustrating to find the last few, even though they did try to highlight those. But THIS BROWN background is very easy to see.
But, I was very surprised no one else mentioned this, so perhaps it was just MY monitor that made the purple color in earlier versions hard to find.
I LOVE this developer's Match 3 games, but they seem to prefer creating more Solitaire games., with 'bonus' type games that involve matching HUNDREDS of cards, or very difficult challenges.
I really disliked playing developer's last several Solitaire games, so almost didn't buy this one. Too many times I had to go through 50++ draw cards to match ONE card on board - very, very boring and annoying, and having almost nothing to do with skill in choices.
BUT, THIS one seems a lot better -- so far at least. Perhaps they found a magic algorhythm that allows longer matches IF ones uses some skill, much more fun to play. And, after about 25 levels, I have NOT come across having to deal over 20 cards to get a match.
The QUEST bonus plays involving winning 3 DIFFERENT type games was fun... at first. I won the first 2 game styles, but have now played the 3rd game (standard solitaire variation) 4 times. Seems like it's one of those where 90% of the deals are NOT WINABLE (and, in my case, 100%). So, again, not fun, and no options to try a different game for your third one in the Quest.
MAHJONG is AWFUL! All tiles too similar and, after wasting 15 minutes of my time clearing ALL TILES EXCEPT ONE on top of the SAME TILE, where shuffle does not work, I LOST THE GAME! If the developer created fun, or at least unique and interesting tiles - AND did what Laruaville developer does and adds a "FREE TILE" you can exchange others back and forth with, THAT would be a PLUS, instead of this MINUS.
So, even though I'm enjoying this MAIN round more than the last few (lovely country pictures so far), I do hope Suricate creates another Match 3 soon as there have been so few good ones for a long time at Big Fish.
When I tested the first scenes in the only TWO areas apparently available, EACH were VERY BUSY, FUZZY, OVER-COMPLICATED SCENES. In one scene, after 5 minutes, I only found ONE of the items. IF the SCENES were CLEAN (while still having LOTS of items within) AND AS LOVELY AS THE PROMO PICTURE, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IN A SECOND.
There have been so few 'GOOD' Match 3 games on Big Fish for quite a while - at least none that I haven't already bought. This has nice Match 3 Plus taking care of cute donkey, special quest areas, nice 'available' bombs, etc. by making long matches.
