...I would love Suricate to make some improvements in future M3 games.
1) If you accumulate lots of available powerups during one level, but do NOT USE them, you LOSE THEM when you play the next level. Not fair.
2) Though I especially love the scenes in their TWILIGHT M3, I got really tired of gorgeous landscape scenes that are covered up by unattractive castles in almost all of their other M3 series. Especially true in this one where you HAVE to build the ENTIRE CASTLE in the first scene, and use all your bonus STARS for lots of crows, BEFORE you can upgrade the REMAINING SCENES, which in this one, are garish castle rooms (though I love the cats).
3) In this game, they use the "need to MATCH 3+ DIAMONDS (or rubies, etc.) right next to the block to break it way too many times. This is just tedious, mostly just luck deleting tiles until that specific gem falls close enough (or you just blast them).
4) Several of the power-ups are placed randomly when you use them. And, so far, their placement when I have used them are no help at all. So I only use the bomb and fireball, which I can place.
I STILL LOVE THEIR MATCH 3 GAMES - and definitely prefer them over their very cumbersome, annoying long play of their Solitaire games that require almost no thought or skill, just lots of blocks and changing number cards frequently requiring 2+ decks to go through just to make matches.
I'm sorry for reviewing this without more than quick check. But this looks so cute and I LOVE Amusement Park Games (DREAM BUILDER: AMUSEMENT PARK A TOP FAVORITE). Though the goal is different here, fun idea and Magnusoft are Pros at good game play, so I didn't hesitate to buy.
1) Is it just me, or are there NO MAGNIFYING GLASSES in any level? Makes locating some of the items too difficult; 2) HATE been FORCED to play H/O games in SCRAMBLED mode (or most other modes than regular word mode; 3) the PUZZLE mode has 20? tiles very similar
IF they had a MAGNIFIER AND the ABILITY To SWITCH to NORMAL WORD MODE, I would have bought this in an instant as the SCENES ARE STUNNING!!!!
So, for those of you much better at this than I am, this is probably very enjoyable for you.
STICK WITH THEIR MATCH 3 GAMES, which are usually outstanding (except the last one that never shows the Next 'Scene" even after completing the first one.
Their "Regular MAIN Solitaire" games are awful!
They must think it's really funny to:
1) put so many blocks on board cards that you need to match only 1 or 2... that somehow don't show up for lots of deals;
2) have those cards that change their number on every move to ALMOST NEVER MATCH THE CARD that is in PLAY to be able to remove. This is so consistent that it must be on purpose.
3) I've suffered going through 2 full decks in some cases just to complete a board. THAT IS JUST BORING AND REALLY ANNOYING!
4) Their "BONUS" games are even worse (until this last one). Adding EVEN MORE DECKS makes going through hundreds of cards to complete their MEGA. Their Mahjong is very restrictive and you can get right to the end after 20 min and have 2 blocks and lose; At least this last one has what I feel are TWO GOOD BONUS GAMES (the moving board and, though less good, the Match 2). Their "Other" Solitaire games are only of value if you want to learn how to play 50 other solitaire games.
Even the scenes in their games that used to be so outstanding have become too similar, too many castles, etc. that completely cover the gorgeous landscape, instead of just the beautiful landscapes alone.
They could be so much more creative on the basic solitaire - like the LGT SIA Developers who created Spellarium and so many other really creative solitaire "mini games" that have an extra "space" that you can temporarily move cards to and from. This makes Solitaire an actual game that requires some thinking, and is so much more fun.
I am just forcing myself to finish the main 'standard' Solitaire just so I can see the rest of the scenes - and then looking forward to playing the moving board solitaire which is a lot more interesting and requires some skill and forethought.
I HATE JUMBLED WORDS, Missing Vowels, etc., so this is an automatic "no buy" for me. Some H/O games give us the OPTION to have STRAIGHT SPELLING words, which I really appreciate.
Too bad, as this looked good otherwise, even with the way-too-many hidden objects to find in the mini-games.
BUT, I know many of you don't mind the scrambled words, so you would enjoy this.
This is the same style as previous, where you repeat scenes several times to locate different items or in different ways.
I LOVE that you CAN CHANGE THE WORD MODE – I am terrible at jumbled words, etc, so allowing me to change to standard word is a definite “MUST” for me.
Beautiful crisp pictures, MOST objects clearly defined, with many well hidden still completely recognizable. BUT a few are pictured different than the normal way an object looks, or too obscure, which is annoying.
Only other negative for me in my quick check is the magnifying glass is too small, and disappears every time you click on something.
These take me longer to find objects than many others I've tried, but I mostly enjoyed taking the time and the challenges.
Even in the first couple of levels, you click on an item listed (i.e., "Bat", and it does NOT recognize it. INSTEAD, when you click "Hint", it shows DARK SHADOW of animal BAT. So many other almost impossible to find even with large magnifier that I just stopped playing - definitely NOT FUN!
this one has tiles that are less crisp than their other recent ones.
Although others may enjoy the stories, I'm one of those interested only in the game play. So it would be really nice to be able to "skip dialogue". Their "upgrades" don't make any sense as they just add more to the story, having nothing to do with "upgrades" specific to the scenes.
Also, I get really annoyed at these M3 games that force you to click 3-5 times just to exit out of the game. In all these, you have to click PLAY to THEN Click to MENU, to then click EXIT
.. with no imagination, smaller tiles, storyline that intrudes (for those of us that don't play Match 3 for a 'story' anyway).
I'm sure all of you here have played at least a couple of these, so you already know whether you will like them or not. Just such a shame that the developer shows no creativity in the actual game play here.
..when they have silhouettes, jumbled words, etc. to find objects. Many of us really dislike not having the option to choose "just words", which means automatic 'no buy' for us.
However, if you don't mind these variations, then it seems like a nice h/o game.
