Plays much like it's predecessors except they added more to it. Good graphics and each level is winnable in timed mode. I did it in normal made so you can too. Music is redundant but OK, they added a progressive piece.
You don't need to win all levels in timed mode to get to the bonus You can switch from easy to normal timed to hard timed on the fly.
You have a bonus level after each section that must be completed to move on. Each section has a puzzle challenge. You must find the puzzle pieces in each level to complete the section by completing the puzzle picture, same as in previous games. You can find the pieces in easy mode and once found you don't have to re-find when going to the upper levels per player.
In the timed mode you win stars when completed. You can use the earned stars to 'buy' museum pieces in the Da Vinci Room. Each level has a basic walk-through guide if you get stuck, I never used it. There are a couple of tough levels.

You need to win all levels in timed mode to get to the bonus The Bonus was the most difficult and took me several tries to find out how to win. I played in easy timed mode. It takes a little out of the box thinking.
At this point you should have enough experience to figure the bonus level all out. Finding the hidden cashes is hard and you will just have to search them out. I had over a minuet spare to get them. Once you are at the winnable point you can save the game with the save pillar to figure out the cashes.
I recommend this game!

It's like it's predecessors except in this version you are repairing the damage done by Viking invaders. There are no easter eggs. Levels are tough but not impossible under the timed easy mode, I didn't try the harder modes. Unlike it's predecessors it lacks progress bars on the production of resources. This version has a valley scene where on the completion of each level, timed or not, buildings are repaired and statues build.
Some levels might seem impossible in timed mode but you just have to note your resource status bar and vary your approach to win that level. I found that by trying a different angle can make a difference of 30 seconds to timeout.

As in the 1st and 2nd versions it's colorful and has good, pleasing detail as far as cartoon graphics go. The game has new changes. It has easter eggs and in-game bonus levels per areas. You must collect a certain amount of hidden crowns to play those levels. In addition it has a hidden picture puzzle, you must find all 3 crowns per level and complete it within the 3 crown time limit in time mode to uncover a piece of the puzzle. Finding the hidden crown easter eggs can be very challenging but you can cheat and find the locations with the guide. After the main game you have a bonus level with more easter egg crowns and a in-game bonus level.
Levels can be difficult but not impossible in time mode, untimed is to get oriented to the levels. Music has improved but still kind of run-of-the-mill. The guide is helpful.
Getting 3 stars involves getting into a rhythm of the game and using bonuses to your best advantage in a timely manor. The guides will show you the best approach. Some levels are just in time to finish.
This game version had a display flaw. In full screen mode part of the screen area got cut off and the status bars and menu items are cut off. It more or less displays correctly in window mode though. But like me you may find it hard to play in window mode as display size is reduced.

As in the first version it's colorful and has good pleasing detail as far as cartoon graphics go. Levels can be difficult but not impossible. Music is intended for youngsters, not very invigorating, rather boring.
The collectors version with the walk-through can be very helpful on some levels. Most levels I was able to figure it out for 3 star bragging rights. But you have 2 modes, untimed casual and timed. Awards are basic bragging trophies and there are no Easter eggs. After the main game there is a bonus level under extras.

The game is colorful and has the same quality of graphics of Roman Roads. The music has a good battle atmosphere but gets kind of monotonous as it is not varied. The main object of this game is to conquer lands to favor the heart of a princess queen. As in Roman Roads you build production buildings for food, wood, stone and gold. And plus you have to fight creatures and monsters. No easter eggs in this game.
You can breeze on through in relaxed mode but in normal time mode, to get 2 star bragging rights, several of the scenarios levels are just-in-time critical, you blink you lose. You have to watch resources very closely and find out which bonuses work best. I made it through with some help, but I did not take the same steps as the veteran showed. Don't neglect your tasks, some items you could overlook.
Very challenging.
I recommend this game!

This is a nice game for the youngsters and adults as well. The graphics are very good at a cartoon level, reminds me of the old Warner Brothers cartoons of the late 60s and early 70s. The music kind of sucks though but doable for the game.
The challenge level for 3 star bragging rights is moderate. There are 5 or 7 levels that are severe and tight. Advance time game players will be able to figure it out without the help of walk-throughs.
What I don't like about this game is the lack of a complete help option and the ability to completely turn off the tutorials.
1. Play the game to find the critical bottlenecks of resource priorities.
2. Determine which structures to build 1st and upgrade.
3. Determine what bonuses to use at the critical points of the game.
4. Take heed of what goals are mandatory for completion to the next level.
Follow those steps and you will figure it out. You don't need to get 3 stars to advance through the levels.
I figured out how to get all 3 stars levels and win all awards. There are no hidden Easter eggs to find in this game. Have fun.
I recommend this game!

The game is colorful and has the same quality of graphics of Roads of Rome. Music is of the same quality. There the similarity ends. The main object of this game is to feed the troops while exploring unknown lands. Along the way you also have to pay ransoms to rogues and bandits.
You can breeze on through in relaxed mode but in normal time mode several of the scenarios levels are just in time critical, you blink you lose. You have to watch resources very closely and find out which bonuses work best. I made it through with some help.
Also, to get the 3rd star you have to find a hidden gem, just look for the sparkles to get bragging rights.

A nice game for young alchemists. Story line is kind of muddled but puzzles are not that hard. You can skip any puzzle or hidden object find. Hint available.

A fun colorful game for young and old.
Basically you can play 2 games, solitaire or mahjong games to get clues, or just one of them. The solitaire game is the most challenging. After you get the clues a comparison chart comes up with the suspects and clues, you try and sleuth out the clues to find the guilty suspect.
For a detective game I would personally prefer a more complex clue like game to sleuth out the guilty one or ones.
