I love Grandma games I believe I own almost every game they've made and never been disappointed but this game took it to a whole new impressive level!
I really, really enjoyed this game. I loved being given different questions and options that will affect the gameplay. I have to say I was extremely happy when I got the opportunity to save or not save Laura an annoying person who's presence I never fully understood. She had to go for a few reasons but mostly because she was really annoying! lol
The rest of the gameplay, graphics, music, scenery were just perfect! I loved talking to my secret helper using a beautifully ornate old fashioned pneumatic tube.
The graphics and music as always were just perfect. The mini-games were ok not my favorite part of any HOG, I loved all the hidden object games, they were so lovely too look at and the interaction was so much fun.
I played this game and the two bonus chapters nonstop due to the fun factor. I haven't done that in quite a while.
For me, this is a huge contender for the best game of the year. As always, great job Grandma games. BRAVO!

I don't know how I missed this game when it first came out but I had it as an offer with another game I just purchased recently so I purchased it due to the price and I have to say I really, really liked this game! It's one of the best games I've purchased in a long while.
The flow of the game was just perfect. The storyline was pretty good and everything that you did in the game made sense and added to the story that unfolded. The music and sounds in the game were great too.

I really, really enjoyed this game. I loved everything about it. The first game in months that I've purchased the CE version of and the first game period that I've purchased in the last 2 months! Nothing has appealed to me but this game did in a really big way! I Loved it!. I'm a big fan of this developer.

I really enjoyed the game. I loved that it was in modernish times, liked all the hidden object puzzles. The storyline was ok, music was pretty good but the length of the game is shameful!!
I would have given the game 4 or 5 stars but I just purchased the game and hour and a half ago, stopped playing to get something to eat, came back and started playing again and poof the game was over! I got less than an hour total game play. This is UNACCEPTABLE! No, I don't recommend the game because you will get ripped off. Money is too darn tight to get so little for our money! I have to say I don't think I've been this angry in a long time. I really want my money back!

This use to be my favorite series, with great writing, fun and original mini-games but that is no longer the case.
I found this to be extremely boring and monotonous, find an amulet but it here, find another put it there, over and over! Nothing creative or imaginative going on here.
While the graphics are of amazing quality, with eye-catching artwork and gorgeous animations. The musical scores and voice-overs are also pretty much solid, it's the actual gameplay that suffers in a big way. Nothing original or thought-provoking in this game, nothing to grab me and pull me into the game so that I don't want to stop playing the game!
I was so excited when I saw we had another Grim Tales game out today as I'm feeling under the weather and I could have used a great distraction but this is not going to do it for me. I can describe this game in one word MUNDANE!

While I liked this game it wasn't my favorite in the series, it seemed to drag for quite a while before we really get going and meet up with a former lab tech. We didn't interact with each other as much as I would have liked, which was a bummer.
Don't get me wrong it's a well made game, music, graphics, hidden objects, and mini-games were all fun, if not somewhat predictable. It just didn't feel as indepth in story as some of the others in the series and it was much shorter than the other games too but the biggest bummer for me is we see little to nothing of New York!! Each game I hope they will have us spend more time outside looking at and investigating some of the many wonderful famous places and each time we don't and I'm really let down. Why can't we have a murder on the top of the empire state building this way we could look down at many of the sights or a murder near the Statue of Liberty, we could take a subway, go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, tons to see and do there. Just a few suggestions that maybe someone who makes these games will see.

This is a home run for Amax. This game is very much reminiscent of the first few games in this series, back when games were really well made. I haven't played more than the demo so far so I hope it remains as good after the demo, but what I did play I really enjoy! We are going to save 3 souls in a creepy old amusement park. The creep factor is there, the music and sounds I just love, the games and the hidden objects thus far have been fun and right at my comfort level, not too hard but not super easy either. Graphics as always are just fantastic and the music is perfect for each scene.

I purchased this game some time ago and just realized I'd never played it. So last night I installed and played it through today and I just loved the game!
There is such a great flow and story to Artifex Mundi games, they make me feel happy and relaxed playing them. Their scenes/graphics are always so gorgeous and perfectly made, the music changes and is perfect for the scene you are in. They pay such close detail to all the aspects that make a game great which is why Artifex Mundi and Brave Giant are my top favorite game designers.
The mini-games were so different than any other game I've ever played. They were unusual but lots of fun which for me is saying a lot because normally I skip the mini-games. The hidden object scenes were really fun and colorful plus the things in the hidden object scenes were really nice to look at!
This is a game I will definitely play again. The first game in a long while that I really, really enjoyed and was very sorry to see end.

A few days before this game was released I was online trying to find out if we were ever going to get another game in this series and wham'o to my great surprise and excitement this game was released just a few days later!

I'm a huge fan of Mad Head games 98% of their games are sensational. The first Nevertales game is one of the best games ever made, that being said this game is not even on the same level as that game!
I purchased this game and I'm extremely sorry I did. I've tried playing this game over and over for at least 2 weeks and every time I do I leave the game angry and frustrated. I've now just finally decided to save myself any further aggravation and I deleted the game from my computer, half finished!
I found the gameplay to be disjointed, with the goals being unclear and many of the areas you need to click on are in places you'd never ever expect. I was bored, frustrated and angry most of the time which is not how I want to feel when playing a game! I really, really disliked this game!
I really miss the quality of the first couple of games in the series.
No, sadly I do not recommend this game.
