This game, in my opinion, is not getting it's due. This is a fantastic game that I just couldn't stop playing. So much fun! First off I've been saying for years it would be so nice to have a scary or horror type game in a clean, reality based setting instead of broken down, bug infested, stomach retching setting, this is that kind of game! Everything was so nice to look at yet I still had to stop a monster and save the world, which I did, Yahoo! This is also one of those games that also reinforces my belief that we shouldn't be passing judgment or leaving reviews on just the demos alone. This game gets so much better after the demo! The bracelet is a little hokey but the longer I played the more fun it became as did everything else. First game in a while that I just didn't want to stop playing and I was sad when it was over, would have liked to play a lot longer! I do highly recommend this game.
I've played every Mad Head game there is and loved almost all of them but this game, in my opinion, is just horrible! I know the game designers were trying to make a more up to date, more high-tech game but I'm not really a high tech person, truth be told, I don't even own a cell phone. The game for me was just very confusing and stressful, it just ended up making me feel stupid and frustrated. There was also very little to do in each very simplistic scene, you didn't move about and look at things, you just picked up a few things and that's it. I didn't care for the game you played to operate the elevator and I really dislike the use of the glasses and the strange circle thing that you just clicked random things to use. I'm sure many people will enjoy this game I'm just not one of them. No, I do not recommend this game.
I own every game in this series and have enjoyed them all. The original games to me were far better than the last 3 we've been given. The game, Graywitch does not feel like a Grim Tales game. While the story still revolves around the dysfunctional Gray family, Graywitch lost that magical Grim Tales touch! Elephant as always brings us beautiful scenery and graphics, haunting music and some innovative games the rest is the same ole, same ole, find an amulet or key to open this, to find another amulet, figure or key to open that! Hidden object scenes have been made too easy, just leaving things lying out in the open like that! Everything just gets somewhat boring and repetitive! I actually never fully grasped the storyline until the end and even then I was like what? I don't know if they didn't fully expand on the story throughout the game, or I was just not fully paying attention. All that being said I still enjoyed the game for the most part. I loved having father dear appear from time to time and helping me out by giving me things. I love the sound of his voice and I found him to be quite attractive lol. It was a decent way to spend some time. I played it while also playing another older game Loves Chronicle a Winters Tale which was fabulous and truly a 5-star game so this game in comparison just fell short. It fell short of its predecessors too, Grim Tales: The Wishes and The Vengeance are still 2 of my very favorite games, Bloody Mary was also terrific! I do recommend this game but don't expect the feel of Grim Tales game because it's not there.
I own every game in this series and have loved them all including the last game that most didn't care for, I still found enjoyable but this game is a no go for me! I demoed this game a month ago when it came out as a CE and wasn't wowed so I tried it again as an SE and still found it to be quite boring. The story is not central to the game, it's all about finding and amulet to open this, rinse and repeat. It just doesn't appear much effort was put into the game. The graphics were very nice, the music was lovely, but the story and gameplay were just blah nothing to excite me into shelling out money or even wasting a free game on.
I'm a little late posting my review and it most likely will not be seen by many if anyone but I just wanted to put my two cents in just in case someone is on the fence about purchasing this game. DON'T! I've played all the Surface games, Mystery of Another World, Game of Gods and Soaring City are 3 of the best games I've ever played. I enjoyed all the others as well except for Noise she couldn't make. This game is better than the latter but not by much. I just found this game to be very boring with the same ole, same ole, find an amulet put it here, rinse and repeat. The story line had great potential it just was not executed properly. It was also a kind of short game but in this instance, that was a blessing. Sorry just nothing here to be excited about.
This is truly a 5-star game! I'm loving every minute in the gorgeous fantasy game. The game has absolutely beautiful scenery, lovely music that goes so well with the scene or hog you are in, and it's a really long game. The Hidden Object scenes are really interactive and the mini games are so well done even I didn't skip most of them and that's saying a lot! You also had Orbs you had to charge and another thing you found pieces for then you, played a game and then you'd earn a kind of super power, ie. levitation, fire, ice etc. You also had storybooks where they tell a story and you find matching pieces and as you do the story unfolds for you. There was a lot of time and hard work put into this game and it really shows. Bravo to Vendel Games you did a superb job with this game. One of the best, most beautiful games I've ever played on Big Fish and I own over 125 games. This game really keeps you busy. You really get your money's worth with this game. I highly recommend this game. Don't listen to the naysayers they usually give low marks to almost all the games!
I almost never buy the CE of a game and I've never purchased one the first day out for full price but I was so bedazzled by this game I did both those things! This review is after playing the entire CE edition with the bonus game. I only played about 10 minutes of the demo and I knew I was going to love the game. It's like when you meet the certain perfect someone, you kinda know the minute you lay eyes on them! I was correct I absolutely Loved it! I've enjoyed the other games in this series, especially Alice in Shadowland but I liked this one even better! They really stepped things up for this game. The scenery so far is very lovely, the music is fine, you do get a pair of goggles you use to show you what happened previously in that scene, and a pair of silver slippers that help you along in the game. You also keep in contact with a man who's helping you find your way he looks a lot like the handsome actor who plays Rumpelstiltskin on Once Upon a Time.( Robert Carlyle) I loved the quirky items, and having someone to talk to throughout the game. The game moves along nicely and it's on the easy side which I like but my favorite part is having an adorable Scottish Terrier as a helper, he looks just like my childhood dog MacTavish who I just adored! The hidden object scenes are interactive and a little different from the norm. The mini-games were fun to play and that's rare for me because I usually skip them. I only skipped one in this game and that was the maze puzzle. I think most folks who love the Wizard of Oz as I do, are really going to love this game and I highly recommend it! First game in a long time that I was really excited to play! Happy gaming, everyone!
I just finished playing the entire game and the bonus and I have to say I really, really enjoyed this game. I love ERS because they are almost always straightforward and logical and you aren't running all over the place trying find things that have been so well hidden it becomes frustrating. You do go looking for tons of stuff before the story moves along this game moves along very nicely. There's some back and forth but not near as much as many of the other games, which is also a plus. I own all the games in this series and I've enjoyed them all. They do seem to stay true to the story as it's progressed and in this game, you find out something that makes the story even better if you purchase the CE and play the bonus game. I found this game to be great fun, I enjoyed the mini games and all the interactive hidden object scenes. I highly recommend this game.
I absolutely loved this game! Best Redemption Cemetary since Redemption Cemetery: Children's Plight which up to now was my favorite, this game surpasses that one. Wonderful graphics, great music, plenty of interactive HOG's and plenty of mini games/puzzles which I mostly skip because some did get a little tedious by the third time. I'm not a puzzle lover. What I really liked about the game is the unfolding stories, you always knew what you were doing and why. I loved having people in the game you talked to and interacted with as well. I love ERS games the sounds things make are so enjoyable to me, they don't do to much back and forth and everything moves forward in a wonderfully logical way! You save 3 people so you go to 3 different places plus the cemetery and crypt. You will visit an amusement park where you get to play arcade games (loved it, just wish the games were made a bit more challenging) then you go back in time and save a doctor and his daughter from some kind of illness, so lots of mixing this and that ( I love mixing up potions and such) lastly you go to where the whole thing began and stop it from happening. I really really enjoyed this game and it does as someone else pointed out get much better after the demo! Well worth a full price but if you have a free game coupon and are on the fence I say use it and buy this exceptionally fun game!
I know this is an older game but I just finished playing it about a month ago and I have to say it was fantastic! I think I love the older games even more than the newer ones. Less flash more substance! This game is on sale today and let me just say if anyone is reading reviews today 6/2017 This game is well worth the 2.99 heck I paid full price and I'm happy I did!
Web of Deceit 2 features some top-notch cutscenes with great animations and wonderful soundtracks. The graphics are very beautiful to look at the quality is superb! Moreover, the game involves some good live acting which is pretty rare for a HOPA game these days, the character’s voices are spot-on and well-synced. The game finishes conclusively so no need for the bonus game. It's also a pretty long game so you get your money's worth. I really, really enjoyed this game it's on the top of my list of all-time favorites and I've played over 200 games! Yes I highly recommend this game.
