To tell the truth - I didn't think I would enjoy this game much after the opening sequences. I hate that kind of clumsy 3D animation! But I quickly got drawn in, and when the trial hour ended, I purchased right away.
Gameplay is not very hard and very straight-forward (I played the expert setting), so I got through without consulting a walkthrough and even using the built-in hint system only a couple of times. In my opinion, it's pretty much impossible to get stuck, or miss picking up inventory items!
I really liked collecting the so-called "beholders"; I also liked the little furry helper, but the developers should've used him much more.
What really irked me, though, is that apparently this was released as a CE on other sites, and there are achievements visible that you just can't earn by purchasing the BigFish edition. In my opinion, this should not happen! There's also a cliffhanger ending, but even after more than a year has passed, no sequel has come to BigFish ...
All in all, I recommend this game for beginners and experts who just want to kick back and relax! (If it was possible, I'd give this game a 3.5 since it doesn't really deserve a 4, but since I had a good time playing, I'll be nice about it!)
I recommend this game!

Humph. I had trialled the first game andenjoyed it, but never got around to purchase it. I'll have to say that I liked that one a lot better than this sequel. There was no improvement regarding graphics, and I also think gameplay could have been much improved. I hate "pixel-hunting"! Also, much more focus is on the adventure aspect than the hidden object searches, and even though that's what I prefer, I didn't much care for this game's. So, even though I like the show as well as the first game, this will definitely be a No Buy for me. My advice is to stick to the first game!
I don't recommend this game.

Usually, I love logic games, but I found this one tiring. I liked the cute armadillos, but the lack of instruction ruined it for me. I just don't have the patience for this game at the moment , but despite the old school graphics, this is one you should try out! The first three boards were doable, but then they lost me ... would have been nice to be able to watch the solution for learning where I was thinking wrong (as I've seen with many brain teasers of this kind)! Would have been a buy with clearer instructions! I simply feel stupid now :)
Well, this was my first Slots game; since I love Venice, I thought - why not? I didn't even last 5 minutes. This game is absolutely horrible, sorry. There's no point to it whatsoever and the graphics are very outdated. Don't even try, even if you like Slots - I'm sure there are better games out there than this one!
I enjoyed the beginning of the game - the menu is set to look like a 60's style radio. Gameplay graphics are okay, but not outstanding. Gameplay itself was clunky and I found myself thinking of the things to do as chores instead of having fun solving the puzzles! I didn't think the storyline itself was very logical lots of the time, either. But the live footage and documents from the time period are very worthwhile and a nice touch! Being German, I will not rate the storyline - I didn't have a problem with it and thought it was really interesting, but apparently, it's still a sore point with alot of Americans! I can see kids having fun with this one, though, and at the same time they learn about history! Unfortunately, a no buy for me, though, but I've definitely seen worse, that's why this game gets a recommendation from me!
Judge Dee is the newly appointed magistrate of Yiwang prefect. Help him uncover the truth behind a town's dark secret, its corrupt officials and the true cause of a mysterious illness!
What a strange game! When I opened it, I kept wondering why this only had so few stars, since the graphics are beautiful! But slowly, I began to realize the reasons ... First, I love to read, but the dialogue was just too long and meaningless. Gameplay and interface are just so unbelievably clunky; they got on my nerves quickly. I kind of liked the scoring system of the HOS.But the game/story just didn't capture me enough to continue playing, especially because after playing 10 minutes of the trial, I still hadn't figured out my quest! All the strewn in Chinese wisdoms are a nice touch, though. Sorry, but this game could have been much much better! No buy for me, but maybe other people can have fun with this!
I don't recommend this game.

I tried this game because I was wanting to buy it with the "Nutcracker" promotion, and I really really wanted to like it! Sadly, I didn't enjoy my demo time too much! This is a hidden object game with a little adventure elements thrown in. The graphics are beautiful, but gameplay is very clunky and even in advanced mode, it was way too easy. I disliked the boxes with text popping up all over the place with no way to close them by myself; you had to wait for them to fade away. Also, accomplished and impending tasks popped up as text on the screen, which I didn't want or need. A journal would have been a better option.Language is very clunky as well; the game designers didn't have a good proofreader! Not too many grammatical errors; the text just sounded odd. Some mislabelling in hidden object scenes. Hints didn't work as intended, either - when making the potion, I was looking for two pine cones, had found one and wanted a hint about the location of the second. Hint only told me to find two pine cones. Duh! I really liked: the graphics as well as the music! Both are lovely. All in all, though, it's better to get the "Nutcracker" game if you want to get into the christmas spirit!
I'm not usually a fan of this kind of game, but decided to try it out anyways, you never know! Well, this certainly didn't enhance my liking of the genre! Graphics are outdated, the music got on my nerves quickly, and gameplay itself wasn't very interesting. True, the characters and attractions are quirky and one-of-a-kind, but even for me, the game was way too slow and easy! All I seemed to be able to do was wait for money to come in and wait and wait and wait ...
This is a peaceful, contemplative, easy hidden object game I can easily see older women enjoy. Your character's kids are married off, you move to a new town and play matchmaker between the people there. It didn't hold my interest at all and was way too cheesy for me (so no buy, not even as the Daily Deal), but if you just want a HOG to kick back with, without the bells and whistles, this might be it! You get the option of playing timed and untimed, by the way.
I recommend this game!

I never played the original Dig Dug, which one probably should have, because for me, there was nothing nostalgic about it. I didn't care even for the enhanced graphics, the music gave me a headache, and game controls (I used the mouse) didn't work perfectly (sometimes, my guy stopped in the middle running - deadly in an arcade game, where you're chased!). The tutorial/help could have been way better! If you're not familiar with this game, you start out not knowing what's expected of you, and the designers didn't take that into account. Recommended for fans of the original, but unfortunately, it wasn't for me!
