I have always loved the New Yankee games. I have some really old ones that I download and play. And I Always play in relaxed mode. I so agree with others that Level 13 is ridiculous to call this in a relaxed mode. I would love to have the coders tell me how this is relaxed. I also don't care for the dark sardonic theme chosen. With this current mindset I'm sure there are more Level 13 too but this is as far as I probably will go. That book guy is overworked and underpaid also!!! I don't recommend if you want relaxed modes either.
There is not a whole lot to say but their was one person who thought the graphics were great. It makes me wonder how. this is sad. I love time management games with a relaxed mode. :-)
I know when a new New Yankee becomes avaiable I don't have to play it first I just buy it outright. I know it will be fun and friendly to the casual user too and play a level as long as you want. I know I never can wait until edition 13 will come on line. I know that I like to go back and play older editions too
New Yankee is always great fun. I am having difficulty going past good this time because there are glitches. Two that I have run into so far, and I say so because I'm not far in the game, are that 2B does not open, 1 and 3 so far open easily. And the two levels I've played that have sheep sent to the pens the first experience the sheep disappeared into thin air and the second time I encountered the sheep they headed for the castle then disappeared in front of it. This did not happen in previous games. There were pens and you had to build them and then take the sheep to the pens. Seems to be some non-creating going on for some reason.
I'm sorry to say that I just couldn't get through the beginnings of the trial of the game. It is cringeworthy I'm afraid. Now I really like the simpler animated games but this is more late 80s early 90s is my feeling. I haven't researched the developer(s) if this is first attempt bravo for trying and keep trying, If they have been around a while I'd say really!.
I enjoyed playing this game (in relaxed mode of course :-)). It is still a challenge and I get most all of the benefits so I'm happy. Some have felt it confusing but I am thinking they need to play some of the previous Roads games to better understand the later ones. Another thing I like is that this is a many level game and worth the price I think. The problem I had was getting the game to work past a certain level. The guy in the boat wouldn't go anywhere but I'm well past that now. The other ongoing problem I have is some of the history lessons, they abruptly go away before I can read it all. Hope they fix this.
So I like help and proud of it :-) So not having a user's guide bothered me a great deal. Especially since there are certain steps you have to take first before you can finish a level. For example you need more gold to complete a task than you collect so only if you find the 10% thingy before touching any gold you will accomplish the next step. And, No guide to help you along, Nada! I did not purchase I had enough points but not worth a Collector's cost. Do I recommend Yes and No I like this type game and I didn't hand out more cash.

Didn't buy tried the free Play. The graphics are pretty good but you fly through the scenery so fast to see much and you can't do your own scrolling which is too bad. Same boring match 3's over and over and I don't see where you can earn any type of power ups to make it go faster. They seem to love to freeze a move or net it in a web over and over again. Just Yuk!
The concept at least to me was different from what I'm used to playing but soon I had a lot of fun. some levels were a bit short but still well worth the price. (at half price :-} ) I most always play relaxed and that is how I like to play the time management games.
