I haven't finished playing but wanted to post a review which I haven't done in awhile. I will just say try this game, if you like easy, relaxing cute and funny games that do not last for weeks. I have said it before, that for me, I pay extra for SHORT length games and games that I can finish in an evening and that I don't have to use a jump map. For those that prefer hard games that can take a weekend to play, probably not for you but for the rest..fun fun fun
I recommend this game!

I have only started the 2nd chapter. I purchased based on reviews and playing only 15 mins of the Demo.
The others have described the game in detail.
I am just tossing in my impressions and say yes, yes, yes, try it. It is so rare to have a real story, good graphics, accents and anything new. I would not want to be a developer, because goodnight!! How many stories and objects can one create that is ALL COMPLETELY totally new that may appeal to all ages and genres? So for the ones that can and do and have quality, well, buy, buy buy for me.
Now back to the game, OH BOY, I am glad it is Friday I will not stop until I finish. I am one of the rare people that do not enjoy games that are too long, even if it is good, if it has quality, a few hours is cool, and I never feel ripped off if I have fun and feel good at the end of the game that ends well. so I hope it is just right...

While I prefer games that are not dark and without deaths, Since I woke up at 2:53 this morning to let the dog out and saw I left my laptop up and thought what the heck, see what the new release is...BAD IDEA! When I saw it was a release from my #1 fav dev's, yep, I hit buy.. sight unseen and downloaded. Long story short, I stayed up all night to play it. I thought I would write a quick review before I nap now lol.
You must rescue your sister who is an institution for crimes you are certain that she did not commit. I know, we have played institution games before...not like this. Your friend the warden Michael lets you sneak in to try to save her. Right away you have some deaths, I wish they would have just been knocked out but that is the ONLY bad thing I can say and that is just me with any game.
The graphics as always, are top notch, usually I burn out on the music but left it on low as it added to it. I even whipped out the stereo speakers to get the full effect of this game in surround sound.
You have skeletons popping at you, a shadow spirit that seems to slip thru your hands at each turn but must be stopped to save your sis.
These devs seem to come up with new ideas, when you think there cannot be anything new. Other devs soon copy the ideas of these genius creators. I can guarantee a few things will start showing up in new releases that stemmed from this game. There are two slider HO scenes which are fun and not as easy as it looks. TOTAL GENIUS and fun fun fun.
The scenes are just perfect. There is one scene in the train station where food is on the table and I felt the urge to grab real bug spray to get rid of them. There is also an HO scene of a washing machine where you have to match fabric patterns, new and different and also a bit of a challenge.
Game play was smooth, logical, no back tracking, good map. The story was well done and my favorite thing, I was able to complete the main game within 5 hours. I know there are other gamers that feel as I do that sometimes games are just too dang long. Kind of like they make the game long so you feel you got your money's worth, to me, anything over 6 is just too much. Quality over quantity and boy does this game have quality. Other gamers that like to play the same games for 2 days, well I suppose you could replay using each challenge level.
I loved this release as I love all of Madhead games. They have a rare ability to literally make you feel that you are IN THE game. Their attention to each and every detail to every aspect has to be commended. Also, to be able to come up with anything new with the hundreds of new games released puts them WAY above others, like top of the food chain in my opinion.
No, this was not my cup of tea genre but dang it, I had fun and was sucked in to the story the minute I started the game. It was worth having to now nap for being so foolish as to load it at 3:00.
As we all say, play the trial if you must, long time gamers who know these devs, do not waste the trial time just buy, it. Is a good sale this weekend.
Now if they would only release the cartoon game they hinted at last Nov saying coming soon, and anything else up their sleeve that will be great. While it seems like forever waiting for the new games from them, I am quite glad that they do not release game after game, or I would be broke. Yes, I love their games that much.
Happy happy gaming, I stopped to write this before I did the bonus chapter so after naptime, I will play that, then probably replay one of their older ones. Yes, it feels like a Madhead game MARATHON weekend!
Thank you devs for being game Gods. Big Fish, you really need to re-think the hour in which you release new games, how about 9:00 a.m. It would save those of us with no will power less sleepless nights!

Other reviewers gave good detail of the game itself. I prefer easier games so for that I liked the games and puzzles. I was disappointed that the game had nothing to do with the book or movie as a few others mentioned. So the title was misleading to say the least.
I found the game way too long and I had to use the map to jump after the first chapter for almost every task or you would be backtracking all over the place. Since most reviewers gave high ratings, I must not be "getting it" I bought the game using the reviews, I will be playing the trials more I suppose. Try for yourself, I did like the easy tasks, and the graphics. Just tooooooo long and spent most of the time scrolling the map to jump to continue NOT fun for me. :(

Other reviewers gave much more detailed info. I can only say that the game has a story, the game play was smooth, not overly busy no running back and forth. Perfect length, actually a tiny bit long for me but not once did I wish it would just end like some games while they may be great I think they make them last 20 hours so you think you are getting your moneys worth. That is too long for me no matter how good. I own all of the other Danse games and plan on owning the next ones. The achievements were obtainable obviously. Not silly nonsense almost impossible goals. I really cannot remember the last game I played where I did get all of the trophy's and I have many games! The extras where you can go back in and replay the mini games and HO are great. This is actually one game that I will bring the game back up just to play those extras.
I had a blast playing this one. It will go in my #1 favorite folder! It is a pretty easy game but that is okay by me. I would suggest players give it a try!

MADE IN JAPAN!!! :) Adopt a baby, someone takes your little tike and you have to track him down running thru the beautiful country side to do so.
This game is LONG. I usually do not care for a game longer than 4 hours, no matter how much I like it. As most games lose the story most of the way thru then it is just tedious never ending tasks. This one held my interest. I basically played this one all day non stop, I enjoyed the gorgeous graphics, like playing on a painted canvas. I LOVED 100% Japanese them, very authentic. Every single object fit the theme!!! You cannot say that about 98% of other games. Even the mini games and HO's were true to the game. Each scene was beautiful and not over done or too busy. I read other reviewers who rated this with BAD graphics. I had no trouble and did not find any scene blurry in any fashion.
I would recommend that the fish out there try the demo. It is a slower paced game, I did not find it boring. If you prefer blood, guts and more devilish themes, than this will not suit I thought the story was great, very unique and game play was smooth and not over done.
The main game ended perfectly for those who want to wait for the SE. It does not end abruptly and actually gives you an ending so you do not lose out if you choose not to buy the CE. I bought this with the sale and I am not sorry I did but there are no replayable HO's or minigames which I was very sad to see at the end as I really enjoyed them during the main game. Because of this, I probably would not have purchased the CE if not for the sale. I did enjoy this game so much, that I will add this to my #1 favorite game folder. These are the games I replay often.
This will definitely be a love it or hate it for many gamers. While it has good guys and bad guys, this is a game you can play with young children and they will not have nightmares. Gamers who prefer to have non stop clicking and more than 5 objectives/mini games per scene will find this slow paced. I personally enjoyed my overseas trip and felt like I was on a nice vacation.
Only one way to know if this is your "cup of tea". Try it and see!

Gorgeous, fun, not mind bending, perfect length for me although some may say short. Quality over quantity. Bad lady killer, you have to save your man. I would have liked more to do at the "Jazz Pepper Club" no worries, I will just go back and play the first Cadenza. I had nothing bad to say. Try for yourself and take a vacation to good ole "Nawlins". Thank you MHG for making my long weekend happy. I own every one of your games and replay them often!

I am wondering where all the reviewers are. You and your daughter take a road trip and end up at a motel. You just get checked in and blamo evil witch freezes your daughter in a force filed. You must run around and save people who have become possessed by evil objects. You must collect them all to help you along an to ultimately save your kiddo.
I found the story good, the graphics excellent and so much to do I am surprised that I loved it so much. Mini games everywhere many simple. When there is too much to do in games I usually find it irritating as it seems to stop the flow but not in this one. Every single HO or game flowed well. The hidden objects were TOO much fun and so out of the box. There is one where you fund blocks and then find items and my favorite was an HO in a fireplace where the items flicked like flames so creative and fun. Honestly I could only find one flaw and it was an oversight. A boy named Kevin makes a poster for his missing Parrot Mr. Chipper and it shows a Scarlet Macaw. The rest of the game including capturing that fella he appears to be a Green Amazon.
Players try for yourself and decide. I will add this to my very favorite games to replay. You collect cards, cats and bunnies as extras. I do wish they would add the collectibles to the map so you know if you miss any or that you could go back into the game to collect them as some developers have done. I managed to collect all of the bunnies and cards but somehow missed one cat.
I will keep my eye on this developer for new games that come out. This game had a lot of love and creativity go into it and quality along with new ideas which is tough to do I am sure.
Again you decide at least do the trial, I had a blast!

I have all the weird parks. I find them colorful and just plain fun to play. Not mind bending and not too long. Perfect for a sit down and finish the same day play. The clowns are a little creepy. I think they did a good job!
I recommend this game!

I probably should have rated a 4 but because this is different than any game out there I gave it a 5. The game was not so breathtaking with the graphics as some others this week but what I loved so much was that you had other characters in the scene, even if they did just stand there. Made the game less lonely. In the beginning of the game you have to "hide" and I actually felt like I was hiding as your view is in a crouch position. This game had smooth game play and again the story was totally original and different. Not easy to pull off these days. I had fun and the expert players should like this, even on easy you get a question mark when an action is needed so you need to use the brain matter.
This is worth at least a trial in my opinion so you may see if it is your cup of tea!
Now off to decide what to play on the last day off of the week! Happy Gaming!
