Usually I wait to post a review until I've played a game in its entirety, but just wanted to get the jump on the inevitable group of reviews complaining that this game lacks HOS or a story line, neither of which is relevant. From just the demo alone, I can already tell this one is going to pose a decent challenge, which I happen to like. It's so rare to find true puzzle games in among the abundance of Hidden Object games; maybe that's because there is a smaller market for them, or it's just a lot easier to design games that rely on fancy graphics and a far more simple format. I any case, I anticipate having a fun and challenging time with this game and would like the developers to know their efforts will be appreciated.
To all those who enjoy a challenge, I would say certainly do give the demo a go...you won't be disappointed!

I've tried probably all the game demos in this series and found that most were mediocre at best and downright silly at worst, so was more than pleasantly surprised by this one. Being a big fan of puzzles, this game had a nice variety of them; most were quite simple but there were enough that really required some effort so I was a happy camper in that regard. The graphics were excellent and one of the best features was the music, which didn't play constantly but was beautifully added in at points throughout the game.
My only complaint was the common one that a lot of players mention about games, and that is that even on the custom level, there was still too much help. I do wish that devs would reserve the custom level for us more seasoned players who mean it when we say we don't want a lot of hand-holding while playing.
It was a decently long game and I did enjoy it from start to finish; will try some of the others again just to make sure I didn't miss something. Definitely recommend this game!
Judging on the screenshots and ratings thus far, I thought this was going to be a good game for adults, but it turns out that even though there is the usual Custom level available, there is a constant stream of "helpful" comments that are impossible to eliminate. As this seems more a game for adults than for children, I wish developers would provide the option for turning off all help for those of us who like a challenge. Too bad, as the graphics and atmosphere are excellent. One hour was not enough for me to get an idea of the types of puzzles that are included in the full game, so for now I'll put this on the back burner. I recommend it for what it is, with reservations, so please try the demo for yourselves.

I thought from the demo that this game would have more fun and challenging puzzles, but as it went on, there were just more of the same old ones we've seen far too often. That said, I still quite enjoyed the game as the graphics and sound were very good. It's a bit of a shame that devs put so much work into creating a game and then don't go the extra mile to put in somewhat better puzzles, and this game actually has better HO scenes than anything else...just not quite enough challenge for me to give it a higher rating. As always, please try the demo rather than depending on my review.

This was probably my favorite MCF game thus far, as I'm a great fan of puzzles and it has a ton of them. Not only are there a lot of puzzles, but they are truly original, not just the ones we have seen far too often that are sometimes put into games as filler. The graphics, as always, are great, as is all the audio.
I do wish people who either don't like puzzles or are less capable of figuring out how to play them would refrain from giving games like this a poor rating; there are so many thousands of HOG's for people who prefer to just look for items in piles of stuff, it's a rare treat to occasionally find one like this that has a challenge as well, and I'd suggest to those nay-sayers that there are more than enough of the simple kind out there for them to play.
I'm going to buy Broken Hour next as the demo had me hooked, and am looking forward to seeing what the next MCF has in store now that they've set the bar higher for themselves.

I'm not big on Hidden Object games that offer nothing besides hunting for items, but it was worth it to play those just to get to the puzzles. Some of them really had me scratching my head and for me, that's the sign of a good puzzle. The only thing that would have made it more enjoyable would have been the elimination of the timed mode, but not a huge issue for me. Lots of fun playing this one and a pleasant surprise after the first two MCF games, which were just too boring for my taste.

My only complaint is that on at least one level in the demo the red colors were so similar it was almost impossible to tell them apart; this is such a common complaint in these games I do wish the devs would listen. Other than that, it's a fun game and I did not find any levels in which I had to guess, so on that score it's good.
The graphics in this game are fabulous, but why do we need yet another game where the evil witch needs to be killed?! The idea of using ashes from a corpse to activate the time travel gadget is just questionable and the scene where the dead witch in the fireplace needs to be burned was more graphic than it needed to be. I only played the demo so I can only imagine the scene where Cassandra is killed and assume it is also more graphic than necessary. Too bad, when so much effort was put into the graphics. The voiceovers were also great, except for the young girl with her squeaky, annoying tone. Could have been better, IMHO.

These Fantasy Mosaics puzzles never used to run on my pc, even after I bought a new one. Good to see they now run and this is a really good one. So far, in the demo, there was at least one level that really made me work for it, and no guessing, which in my opinion, ruins this kind of game. I took off a star for Visual/Sound Quality only because the colors of the numbers don't really match the color being worked on, for example, the green numbers on one level are almost turquoise, which was somewhat confusing as there was also a turquoise set in that level. Looking forward to the next one!
For those who love puzzles, this is a great game. It's also a great game for those who appreciate fine graphics, good music, and superlative voice-overs. It you're looking for a game that has a lot of hidden objects and not much challenge, this is not for you, but there are so many less difficult games that do have one hidden object scene after another, I am always happy to find one like this. I look forward to the next one in the series and hope it will live up to this one!
