This awesome game tells a very touching and intriguing story of a couple that soon get involved into a dark magic curse and also many peoples' lives. Everything begins with the husband going to Wishville where any dream can come true. If you dare to pay the price... The price is to be paid to the mayor that promises to fulfil any dream. The trick is that even dying does not free you from the debt. When your husband didn't return for a few days after he's gone to settle his debt with the mayor, you set out to Wishville. This is when you discover about the strange roses killing the citizens. Not only that but you have to help some of the spirits kept in the town by theri debt. Helping them will help you understand what's going on in the town, where the curse came from, and how to help your husband avoing this terrible fate. The game's scenes are beautifully drawn with this sweet fairytale style for locations and characters. The music and voice overs are executed with excellence and fitting with the story. The game's four difficulty modes are Casual, Advanced, Expert, and Custom. You can adjust your hints #10-200 seconds# and skips #30-400 seconds#. The hidden object scenes are different in their search types: lists, story type with BOLD letters, several of one kind of something, and placing back. A lot of what you know from the genre. The puzzles seem to be quite easy, so you might want to adjust the difficulty settings just a little bit up. There are collectible roses and morphing objects #25 of each#. The challenge grows with 21 achievements in addition to the main game. The extras also include the usual media like wallpaper, music, art. The editor's choice merits more than 5 stars for this enchanting and unique fairy-tale like adventure. I think players of every level will enjoy this 4th installment of Living Legends. Beyond the 'Demo' is a fantastic journey that awaits. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Many cultures from around the world believe that there are evil spirits out there doing bad things, and they sometimes interact with people as well. In some cases, they can even take possession of their victim’s body and force them to do their bidding. Naturally, there are always ways to stop these demons from getting too close, as well as rituals to banish them. Mysteries of the Past: Shadow of the Daemon is a hidden object adventure game in which you have to investigate a missing persons case and figure out what happened before it’s too late to rescue the victims. The gameplay is more or less standard for the genre, which means that you have to pick up useful objects, try to solve puzzles and generally enjoy the ride and the story. Speaking of which, it all starts when a father and his son go missing on their holiday trip somewhere around a remote mountain chalet. Your role is that of a detective trying to figure out what happened to them, by retracing their last known steps. As it turns out, paranormal forces are at play, which means that you’ll have to deal with ghosts and various other vicious spirits. The adventure has Good graphics and simple gameplay mechanics. In case you are already familiar with the HOG genre, you shouldn’t have any trouble figuring out what to do here. Each scene contains a few active regions that can be examined closer, and each region may contain either a puzzle or a useful object that may come in handy later on. Some of these objects can be combined to obtain something else, while others are just there to help you open doors or containers. As usual, the graphics are hand drawn in most parts, which means that you do not need a very powerful computer in order to run the game smoothly. Each scene is very detailed and full of interesting objects you can examine, and the paranormal elements are quite well designed as well. In addition, there’s a creepy soundtrack playing in the background to keep you on edge at all times.
Demo this one for yourself, you may end up purchasing and playing the game in its entirety. I recommend this for players of all levels. Enjoy!

ERS Shadow Wolf Mysteries 5: Curse of Wolfhill is a great addition to the series. The series in general tells a story of a special wolf curse in a family. You really need to check out the entire series if you are not familiar with it. In this particular game, you and your father are forced to go back to the very place you ran away from years ago. Your cousin is in trouble, and you know it because he had sent your family's symbol. This means that you are going to face the wolf curse 'werewolves!' that you'd been trying to avoid. It is a very dark and dramatic story, but it is also very interesting, ingaging, and addictive. The audio-visuals create an absolutely matching atmosphere for the story. They are mostly grey and blue but the story isn't a happy one either. These great quality graphics and music are part of the downloadable media extras. There is a bonus game with its own story for you are discover. I REALLY liked the bonus game story. The game has four levels, one of which is custom. You can adjust things like hint recharge "5-200 seconds" and punishment for clicking there. 17 hidden object scenes and 12 puzzles are re-playable. You get a strategy guide and a map. The game is very interactive as you proceed with the story. There is a lot of inventory to pick up and use elsewhere. The puzzles are interesting and can be hard or as easy as you want. You can set the difficulty level according to your skills in the settings. The hidden object scenes come in all known types of searches. You get lists, silhouettes, matching etc... Collectibles and achievements make the game more fun and add a little extra challenge. A four wolf powers make the game really cool especially for the werewolves fans. This edition isn't necessarily my favorite but it holds its own with respect to all the previous editions. Here are the others in the order that I remember playing. Enjoy!
*Curse of the Full Moon
*Bane of the Family
*Cursed Wedding
*Under the Crimson Moon
*Tracks of Terror #Editors choice award)

This edition Grim Tales 10: The Heir surpassed all my expectations with its captivating storyline and extraordinary gameplay. The Hidden object scenes and puzzles were executed with tremendous attention to detail and design, but it was the use of inventory items and progression of the story that was most challenging for me. Like the description in the intro you're cast in the role of Aunt Gray and you've been called to the Gray's Castle to help your nephew Brandon. His son is missing, and his wife's fallen into a mysterious coma! It's up to you to discover what dark forces are at play in your family's castle. The past and present collide as you look for answers. Once you reach the end of the demo (where you try to use the tranquilizer gun on Brandon) the excitement goes full throttle and you learn a 'Family Secret' that compels you to continue playing without even a bathroom break...LOL.
One of the features of this edition I enjoyed about the game is you travel back and forth to the past, present and future. There are no hallways with doors lined up to go through. The transport map is there for each "time" but you never had to click on the map to view the present, past or future. The items you collected in whatever "time" you were in always stayed with you. Voice acting and Sound/SFX were fantastic and so are the graphics, even if a bit dark with tiny inventory items. Aunt Gray also discovers a new talent to her supernatural abilities, but to elaborate would be considered a 'REVIEW SPOILER'. I really hope these developers continue with this level of quality with their other series, this epic adventure deserves more than just 5 stars... Enjoy!

This edition impressed me beyond my expectations with a unpredictable storyline. Girls have been disappearing left and right in Hallstatt, Austria in Mystery Tales 4: Her Own Eyes Collector’s Edition. Now its up to you to find and save latest victim while she’s still alive! Not because you’re police officer, private detective or something like that. You’re just an ordinary woman from other country. But when you suffered vision loss, Doctor James has implanted experimental crystalline lenses in your eyes. And with their help you can clearly see not only the world around you but also the spirits of the dead! So when one of the victims of Hallstatt Butcher comes to you, you actually see her. And now she (and spirits of other victims) are guiding you in searches for the last girl in this intriguing Adventure. One of the unique features is a pair of horned rim glasses you must put on in order to see events of the past along with scary scenes of the Murderer abducting his victims (He wears a hockey mask that is super creepy). Colors are very clear and bright. The only place we see a lot of blue is within the cut scene. Guess we shouldn't complain about the purples either...the devs made the inventory bar purple...silly devs. Game play was mostly very good. The voice overs are well done, but very few and far between. Sound FX are also very few. This is a fairly quiet game, but it does have it's great moments. HOPs are varied and interesting, e.g., lists, silhouettes, riddle type and interactive. They are clear and clean and items are not difficult to find. The interactive HOPs can take a little time to complete. The HOPs are very well done and because of the variation, you don't get bored. If you aren't interested in the HOPs, you can switch to a match 3. Hint system is very helpful, and there is a transport map feature. For long distance, the map opens up to where you need to go and you just jump from there. Puzzles weren't difficult, but one did take me a little time to complete. The HOS were interactive and some of the best I have played in quite awhile. Some HOS are Morphing items The morphing items do morph quickly, so be on the lookout for them. Expect the usual CE bling and a bonus chapter that is interesting but doesn't relate to the main story at all. I think players of all levels will enjoy this release. Enjoy !!!

This is a really good edition to the Danse Macabre Series and you probably know that if it is the Danse Macabre series, it is going to be intense! And it very well is in the new release, Danse Macabre: Lethal Letters Collector's Edition.
The story of this game is very interesting and dramatic - perfectly fitting the Valentine's Day week! You have mystery, you have love, and you have a lot of puzzles here! You are called in as an expert on hypnosis to help the count and his fiancee. The story revolves around Irina, a prima balerina. She's been having strange black outs. The things she does during those black out are very strange, like shooting her own beloved. As you can guess there is hypnosis involved, which will help you find out who is behind it all and more inmoptantly why. The story is interesting and the audio-visuals used to deliver it to you are excellent. The graphics are crist and detailed, the characters are realistic. There are little things from Russian culture scattered across the game (even though most of the scenes look quite generic for the genre). What was supposed to be an easy case turned into a very dangerous race for the truth. The game will keep you on your toes. It is heavier on the puzzles rather than the hidden object scenes. The puzzles come in different forms and shapes, as well as difficulty levels, some of the best I have played in a long time. The HOP scenes are ususally multi-step ones. There a few mini hidden object scenes. If you get tired of them you can play a match-3 instead. There are four levels of difficulty including the customizable one. They are presented as Matryoshki, the stacking dolls. The skip and hint are adjustable. There is a map and a strategy guide for your convenience. There are 76 collectibles and 13 achievements. 26 puzzles and 15 HOP scenes are re-playable. I think fans of this series are going to love this for their collection as much as I did. Thanks Big Fish for continuing this incredible series!!!

Welcome to Heart Island Estate in Tales of Terror 3. Its a pretty dangerous place, since year 1904 when its last owner died, no one has been able to leave this estate alive??? And now Margie Nolan (you), your father Arthur Nolan and your friend Jesse Howards dare to enter these cursed walls. Arthur believes everything could be explained by science, even when he sees a ghost in front of him. And Jesse is a writer and planning to create a masterpiece about the spirits of the dead using materials you will gather, specifically a small TV device that shows ghostly presence thru a green filter. With in minutes of game play all three of you become separated from each other when the ghost of Luisa Heart sweeps past you and enters Heart Island Estate. You already know the preface of the story in the opening cut-scene where deceased owner Bertram Heart has created an obscure device that restores "Life force" to his wife Luisa, who's life is fading fast from a mysterious illness. Jesse is captured by ominous machine tentacles like those things in H.G. Wells War of the Worlds, and your father is lost in the estate when one of the houses rooms becomes a carousel of passage ways and you have to zip line your way into another part of the mansion if you want to save everyone and learn more of what secrets await you in the rest of the estate...
I enjoyed every moment of gameplay, the visual style the developers created is unique, and the VO's and sound/SFX are excellent! Some of the special effects in the game are unlike any game I have every played. This adventure offers game players of every level a WILD RIDE throughout the entire story. I highly recommend you experience this for yourself! CE bling includes:
● Relive the Heart Estate’s tragic past in the bonus chapter!
● Find heart collectibles hidden throughout the game!
● Spot morphing objects during the hidden-object puzzles
● Earn achievements
● Get beautiful wallpapers, soundtracks, and concept art
I recommend this game!

First there was Royal Detective: The Lord of the Statues, then Royal Detective : Queen of Shadows, now Royal Detective: Legend of the Golem. Elephant games latest edition is fantastic with gorgeous graphics, sound/SFX, and incredible voice overs. This game challenges you with a task worthy of the royal detective. The town of Glanville is waiting for you come and help them. The graphics are amazing. The town itself looks like some of those old European towns with paved roads and cute buildings. The town has been terrorized by a golem for a while. Each day, one of them comes and destroys a part of the town. Each day, it is bigger and the destruction is worse. You are called in as a royal detective to help the town protect itself and stop this evil set against them. It will take help from friends and every clue you can find to discover who is behind all this destruction. There are a lot of questions and a lot of answers yet to discover. The story keeps you greatly involved and interested in the truth and resolution of this conflict. The colors and shades create very welcoming and warm indoor and outdoor locations. Each scene has a morphing object to find (25 in total). Apart from that you are also to collect 14 figurines scattered across the game. Not to mention the endless clues, inventory items, and hidden object scenes items. The HOP scenes are quite different in the way they give you lists of items. Some of them are in the form of story. The hidden object scenes are quite thought through and show signs of a lot of work put into them. But the puzzles are just as fun to play and even offer some new puzzles. They differ in their difficulty level to please the players of every level. Hidden object scenes and puzzles are re-playable. The game features quite a lot of extras (nothing unexpected here though). You get all of your media downloads (soundtrack, wallpaper, and screensavers). There are achievements to make it more challenging and a strategy guide to help you with that. There is a bonus chapter to stay in the game just a bit longer. I loved this game and recommend all 3 games to players of every level.

In the fury of war an amazing discovery was made. The Spear of Destiny has been found after two millennia. It was believed to have been lost forever. Some even decided to describe it as a myth. However, it is real and as powerful as stories say. The Spear of Destiny can change the course of war and the enemy knows it as well. You are sent on a dangerous mission to find this powerful artifact and destroy it. As you travel across the battlegrounds in France, in your search you will face death and destruction on every step of the way but you must succeed at any cost. You don't have much time to lose. If the enemy gets their hands on the artifact, the world as we know it would be completely covered in darkness. Really enjoyed this game - drew me in very quickly. Tons of HOS & doable puzzles, and the music & effects match the game perfectly. Clear graphics, good voice acting and a jump map which is always a plus in my book. Thanks again Big Fish for an outstanding SE. I look forward to more Standard Edition Adventures of this quality. I really recommend this game!!!

Elephant Games' Mystery Trackers has always been a hidden-object adventure series that's near and dear to my heart. In Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avenger, the villain comes with his own bishi-sparkles, so you know it's going to be at least a little pleasantly crazy. Turns out he's upset at you, or at least your organisation, and as he believes the Mystery Trackers have gone about unpoliced for too long, he's abducted the leader's daughter... well, I mean, what else did you expect a Phantom of the Opera knock-off bad guy to do? Much less one uses "rascals" as a vicious insult and who sounds like he's two steps away from shouting "TUNNEL SNAKES RULE" before vanishing into the night. Solve puzzles, use powerful theater spotlight bulbs in puny handheld flashlights, and complete hidden-object scenes as you track the so-called Avenger to foil his doubtless dastardly plot! Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avenger Like most present-day hidden-object adventures, allows you to customise your own difficulty setting to make things as easy or hard as you please, at least as far as allowing hints and skips and the like goes, and comes with a helpful interactive map that will show you where you are, where you still have something you can do, and let you travel anywhere with a click. Some puzzles, though sadly not all, have both casual and hard settings, which is a nice touch, and of course you've got your trusty yap-yap dog Elf to help you reach certain items. The game is, in other words, pretty standard when it comes to its gameplay, though fans of the genre will find it has a nice variety to its puzzles and manages to space its hidden-object scenes out quite well. On the whole, it's also hard to fault the game's presentation. The artwork is fantastic, it animates well, and the series still has some of the best voice acting around. The game is, however, perplexingly silent for long stretches of time apart from sound effects, mostly due to the fact that its musical pieces don't loop, which is a weird choice for a game with a musical theme and one that frankly makes it feel a little blander as a result. It doesn't help that the game is also extremely aggressive with its backtracking, sending you back and forth and back and forth, over and over, within relatively small areas all the time. But while it might not be the strongest entry in the series, Paxton Creek Avenger is still a Mystery Trackers game, and that means you can expect a degree of high quality that makes it pretty darn enjoyable. It's not quite as story-driven as some installments in the series, with most of the game being devoted to simply chasing the Avenger from place to place like an Adam West Batman villain, though it's not without its share of cheerfully campy twists and a thrilling sequence or two. The game picks up a bit once you finally manage to get out of the opera house and start following the villain to different locations, thankfully abandoning the whole "damsel who doesn't even have a name in distress" plotline in favour of exploring more places related to the Mystery Trackers themselves, which means a lot of fun secret-agent style activities and mechanisms. Regardless of the difficulty setting, it's still a little on the short side, and probably won't take most players longer than a few hours to speed through, though the bonus chapter in the Collector's Edition represents a nice chunk of extra gameplay. If you're looking for a hidden-object adventure with a sense of flair that will provide a thriller plot without a ton of violence and gore, this latest edition will keep you satisfied with its flamboyant style, and tiny helper animals dressed in itty-bitty tuxedos. Which, really, is all I ever want from a hidden-object adventure game these days anyway. I highly recommend this game!!!
