~ loads of achievements & items to collect. My favorite being the 40 golden blimps. Yea I'm a fan. ~ riddles within the HOS - This is the first time I've encountered this and it was REALLY fun. ~ pop-up objectives and completion of objectives messages. I find this very helpful.
Other than that, everything else was OUT OF THIS WORLD!
This was a very unusual game with a Shakespearean twist. The graphics are stunning. There is a good balance between HOS and puzzles. There are tabs for map, task log and strategy guide which are all very helpful. The storyline is *insert crazy noise here* OUT THERE, but I give it an A+ for originality. The evil puppet must have had a previous gig playing Tickle Me Emo in the Mad T.V. skit because I've heard that voice before.
I was asked to find one in a HOS. I had to look it up:
Reliquary - a receptacle or repository for relics, esp relics of saints - from Old French reliquaire
I was fascinated by this game. The story is tragic and held me spellbound for an hour. The graphics are beautiful. The sounds are subtle and unsettling. There was a good balance of HOS and puzzles, (5 of each in the first hour) and the secret revealing amulet was a unique feature. I enjoyed the interactions with the ghost characters and having items "bestowed" upon me.
Somebody was smokin' the good stuff when they created this game. This game is a complete trip!! It was WEIRD and it was a combination of things that I just couldn't quite place. The music definitely contributed to the effect.
I really enjoyed the HOS. There were 7 in the first hour alone. I hadn't encountered this type before. You need to find the fractured objects and complete an item that you then use to interact with the environment and to unlock the rest of the items. The objects blended into the background very well and were very challenging for me.
I loved the steam punk-esque setting in the first world. Everything was fun to look at and gave me the giggles the entire time.
I did find it odd that you are able to grab objects that are WAY out of reach on the ceiling and what not but can't access a HOS that is the same distance away without lowering a bridge. The evil mirror is a pain in the behind. I wasn't impressed with his exaggerated taunting, There were also a few objects just off-scene on the left that I had to use the Hint button for.
I recommend this game!

...is just what this game turned out to be. You are a detective in an inner-city setting, seemingly hired by the widow of a personality on a reality show, who has recently died under mysterious circumstances.
There were some very unique elements to this game. Sam, the homeless man, is your friendly neighborhood helper. You are given a UV light to use on red balloon markings to get clues and an alley cat pops up every so often to undercover things for you.
There is a Goals button. The Hint button is a camera that takes a picture to help you on your way. The characters' faces and movements are extraordinarily real. I was very impressed with the variety of different things that you need to interact with during the game. The stage props and clown elements gave things an interesting twist.
My only disappointment was the lack of HOS and map.
This is an extremely well-done Adventure/Puzzle game that is worth every penny of the purchase price.
I recommend this game!

This game will transport you to a truly enchanting and magical setting. The story is a familiar one: Thumbelina must save her eye candy prince from a forsaken witch who wants him all to herself. This is all quickly forgotten while being spellbound by the beautiful surroundings and adorable creatures that you'll encounter.
The CE has many enjoyable extras including a bonus chapter, wallpapers,Concept Art,game soundtrack, achievements and a magical butterfly collection.
After the talking magic mirror gets done complaining,he becomes your go-to hint guy. The map is helpful, with color changing baubles, and task reminders as well as an instant transport feature.
I had absolutely no complaints. Somebody pinch me. I must be dreaming.
This game was as pleasant to play as an afternoon spent at the local art gallery without the "Art Police" watching my every move. I've always wondered: What WOULD happen if I crossed the barrier to poke the Art?
~ Intriguing Storyline : prophetic visions through Art ~ Awesome Setting : Italy ~ The CE includes Achievements which allow you to unlock free play puzzles and HOS as well as the Art and Music from the game. I had a giggle at the one earned for watching the credits. ~ Interesting characters ~ Great graphics ~ Journal - The character you play is a very effective note taker.
It could have used a few more HOS and some of those HUGE molasses cookies like they have at the Art gallery. :P
My latest purchase and current favorite is also one of their new releases. Check them both out!
With the lure of a 50% off sale and being a pirate fan, I chose to give the trial version of this game a try. I was so engrossed by the game that it was a complete shock when my hour ran out. It will definitely be worth the price to continue and finish the game.
Some of the music was eerily similar to POTCO which I've played for many years. The rest was calming and appropriate for an underwater adventure. I appreciated the lack of voice-overs while interacting with characters. I prefer to read the text at my own pace.
The task log and map are very helpful. However, I did have issues with use of the Hint button outside of HOS. It led me to task completion areas and not to the missing links that I was seeking. There were 6 HOS during the first hour alone. I would rate them as being easy. Nothing is hard to find or hidden slightly off-screen.
The ocean creatures were a welcome touch and I had a giggle at the pilot character being named Janeway. :P
I recommend this game!

The Torment of Whitewall
Only one girl has survived the mysterious attacks on Whitewall, but she's not talking… So they've called you in to end the town's terrible torment!
This game was very entertaining. There were 5-6 HOS in the first hour alone which was delightful. The characters were fun and full of personality. The graphics and storyline were captivating and interesting to look at. There were many interactive elements. I was really pulled into the game and forgot about the real world for an entire hour.
