My only complaint about this game is that they don't seem to know which tale they are telling. Are we in Snow White? Sleeping Beauty? Peter Pan? Lord of the Rings?
This was a beautiful and enchanting game with many unique features and many adorable creatures to interact with and experiences galore. The puzzles are varied and plentiful and the HOS are well-spaced and a joy to look at.
There are 3 modes of play. The Hint, Skip and Glint features are customizable. The CE includes a bonus chapter, behind-the-scenes, Concept Art, Wallpaper and Video vault.
After a few minutes of gameplay, you are equipped with a flute and magic wand which allow you to summon animal helpers and interact with the environment. "Tinkerbell" is your constant companion and there are many helpful forest critters at the ready to help you vanquish evil.
The graphics are stunning. The music is magic, eerie, uplifting, beautiful and calming...all at the same time and completes the experience.

This was a very fast-paced and engrossing TM game that could easily become an addiction and make you lose HOURS of time. The tutorials were very thorough and there are helpful townsfolk to give you hints if you get confused. Each location was more challenging than the last and I liked that you could buy needed materials instead of having to rely on production buildings alone. The wild west sound effects were awesome and made the experience complete. Extra optional challenges pop up and there are many achievements to earn.
This game was an absolute hoot. I was laughing the entire time. The graphics are disturbing and adorable at the same time and wonderful to explore. I enjoyed each scene immensely even the ones that were just "wrong". You'll know what I mean when you get there.
After hearing the story and accepting your mission, you travel around the island map visiting various locations. Each location has the potential to yield a cursed black spot if you successfully complete the tasks in the scene. You start by removing a given number of particular objects. Then you're given a task list for the HOS. In order to get some of the objects on the list you must complete mini-games and puzzles by interacting with other items and characters in the scene. This was alot of fun.
After receiving each black spot, you have the option of adding them to the barrel of potion and testing the results on the angry monkey which produces hilarious results.
I only played for the trial hour. To find out what happens next, you'll just have to buy the game. Then YOU can tell ME.
~ 3 modes of play ~ beautiful graphics ~ playtime counter ~ replay movies from journal ~ fiesty character who enjoys insulting the Ice Queen "persistent little slushball". :P
A map with HOS,you are here and task completion areas marked would have been helpful. The hint button rose, as beautiful as it was ,was only helpful in HOS.
When the entire audience disappears from a film screening at an old theater, you must go behind the scenes to find out who is running the mysterious Nightmare Cinema!
Besides being wonderfully creeptastic, this game has the unique feature of being able to customize game experience. You can choose how fast the hint and skip buttons charge, if suspicious areas should sparkle or not and if you would like to toggle the HO penalty button. You can also switch to puzzle mode during a HOS....but who in the heck would want to do that? :P
~ Instant teleport map featuring green footprints for current location and red exclamation marks for available tasks.
~ Helpful Hint button.
~ Journal
Verdict: A pretty decent game that has been added to my wish list.
This was an extraordinary game! Definitely a MUST HAVE game for all fans of the genre!!
~ Captivating storyline pulls you in and keeps you wondering...compelling you to solve the mystery. It's difficult to walk away from it to take a break....it's that good. ~ Ultra realistic graphics and sounds in a beautiful and spooky setting. ~ Many challenging tasks - keeps you alert and on your toes. ~ Videos are awesome and can be watched again in the bonus content area. ~ Wolves and a Full Moon that follows you wherever you go!
+ Extra chapter + Concept Art - Strategy Guide - 13 Wallpapers - 11 HOS +3 modes of play
This is a fun little game with 60 levels, 2 modes of play and lots of trophies to earn. The tutorial explanations are very complete and helpful. New things are added progressively for increasing difficulty. The little muttering lumberjack workers are a hoot.
A murderous figure in a red mask haunts the streets of a small French town, and the mayor needs your help to track him down. But you soon discover that the mysterious Red Masque might not be the real criminal…
I've been collecting all of the titles in this series and this is my new favorite.
I love this series because I'm an Edgar Allan Poe fan and my hope is that new fans will be created from being introduced through these games.
I enjoy a game with a good balance of HOS and puzzles. The ration here was 14/20. I also appreciate a CE with lots of EXTRA STUFF. This title definitely didn't disappoint. There are even pictures of the development team!! How cool is that?
The Scales of Justice was a nice original touch. I enjoyed the "you decide" element of that. The sphere of guilt items cracked me up. That's going to be a new family insider joke now.
There is also a "Private Office" feature with a pet kitten that collects toys, an Achievement Collection on the shelves and a photo album of the pictures that you're able to take with the camera provided.
Playing this game is like stepping into an interactive and magical Pagan storybook. Enchanting music and voices. Colorful graphics. HOS galore and many visually orientated puzzles. Kind to young and old with a hint button that charges very fast, helpful hints and zero frustration factor. Huzzah!
