GRAPHICS are gorgeously picturesque of the times. The detail is incredible. HOS are very nicely done - a little crowded, but not excessively, and the objects are spread out and large enough that you're not pixel hunting. PUZZLES are widely varied and somewhat easy so that even novices won't get discouraged solving them. MYSTERY involving disappearing men with a 200-year calendar. Now, who would need such a calendar and why are they walking into the lake? Lots of adventure with HOS and puzzles in the right proportion. ANIMATION is spectacular and used in the right places. Collect spectral fluid when it appears, so you know there's a paranormal aspect here. Don't understand the mediocre reviews so far. Game has a lot to offer. JOURNAL has your clues and objectives. HINT system is very precise, giving thorough instructions on what to do in casual mode if you want it - usually on where you need to go next. MAP is very large and shows where there are activities to do.
9 Chapters. Fairly easy game with a few challenges. A little over 3 hours on casual (but I may have not counted a half hour). STORYLINE: Felipa’s life-force (trapped in stone) has raised Columbus from the dead after the Pinta’s been caught in a storm. But he must release her spirit by the next full moon or he will die and Felipa will stay forever in the stone. To release her, he must complete an amulet after first fixing the Pinta and traveling to Corsica, France, and Spain, also visiting the Queen and a market, to complete several tasks and to gather the parts for the amulet. He makes it just in time. GAME PLAY: Nice-sized beautifully detailed and brightly-colored HOS (so objects aren’t too difficult to find). Besides interactive HOS, there are FRAGS which are clearly distinguishable. Proper proportion of HOS to FRAGS. Linear play - you have a task list that tells you the next thing that needs to be done. Various puzzles and mini-games, becoming more challenging as the game progresses. Lovely scenery and WONDERFUL/RELAXING background music!!!
Nobody does it better than Elephant. Another wonderful game with gorgeous graphics on wide screen, a terrific story and thoroughly uplifting music. The HOS are great - clear, sharp, uncluttered and not too many items to find. Nor are there too many of them. Loads of locations to visit, all perfectly done. I love that Elephant do not concern themselves too much with puzzles/mini games that are so complicated and convoluted they fry the brain, but rather concentrate on making them fun, colourful and solvable. There is a jump map - my personal favourite, which highlights which areas to visit. The hint/skip are very fast and the hint points out direction, if you prefer that to using the map. There are collectibles and achievements, and the collectibles are easy to see. Navigation is as good as it is possible to get. There is no diary, but I only had to make a note of a code once. There are 7 rotund, fluffy, adorable little creatures to find, each with a special ability to help you perform tasks, but not all 7 are to be found in the main game. It ends well, but in my opinion you would be missing out by just getting the SE. I loved talking with them. They were funny and so endearing. The game is so absorbing and entertaining, it did not feel that long. I could have played twice as long and not ever been bored. Fantastic job by these guys, as always. Thanks Ellie and thanks BF. Recommend, recommend, recommend!
What would you do if your beloved husband was suffering from a mysterious paranormal disturbance? I am sure you would do what Renee did and send him to the Alps where a physician renowned for curing these types of disturbances has a clinic. Maybe that was a mistake because Renee soon receives a letter from Alfred telling her that their marriage is over. Since Alfred didn’t sound like himself, Renee enlists your aid to get to the bottom of the mystery. You immediately recognize the name of Professor Swens and know that he works for the Seekers Brotherhood, an organization you have done battle with in the past. Could it be that you are in over your head this time. Fortunately, not is all that it seems and you do have some help. Will you be able to survive the mind invasion and Dr. Swen’s attempts to turn you into a member of the Seekers? The graphics are good but not as crisp as I like. They seem a bit old style in comparison with those in some of the more recent games that have been released. That being said they are still nice but a bit washed out. The sound package is okay but again there is nothing outstanding. You have a diary that keeps the progress of the story as you move through the game and there is also a transporter style map that is located close to your hint button. Where “Mind Invasion” becomes an excellent game is with the variety in the HOS. Rather than all being the standard list type they are varied, and some are almost like puzzles. I found that I really liked the variation in the HOS and found them fun to get through to earn my reward. The same with the game’s puzzles, many of them were different than what we normally see. Some puzzles did present a bit of challenge but I didn’t find them so difficult that they were frustrating. Throughout the game you will find 31 collectible walking canes (they all have interesting handles so take the time to look at them). There are also achievements to be earned but that is about it as far as CE content. Of course, there is the usual CE fluff but no wallpapers. Overall the game has nothing spectacular for CE content, except that you can replay the mini-games, but for many of you it may not be worth the extra cost. “Agency of Anomalies Mind Invasion’ is a unique and very interesting game because of the puzzles and the HOS. I found the story intriguing. “Mind Invasion” is a game I want to continue playing so I am off to hit the buy button. The developers have created a game that is interesting, challenging and a lot of fun. As always, I recommend that you at least try the demo to see if you agree that this is a great game and one well-worth adding to your collection.

This has everything I think a Hidden Object/adventure game should have. A good story, beautiful graphics, puzzles that are innovative and fun to solve, not too many HOS - and HOS with puzzles in them. Ellie's computer and botanical set nicely fit into the story. I enjoyed exploring the world of Botanica and I can't wait for the sequel!!!
You thought this would be just like any other investigation. But now you find yourself lost in a mysterious mansion brimming with strange creatures, comatose colleagues, and mysterious tentacles around every corner…
I'm a huge fan of Haunted Halls and even Dr. Blackmore! This game doesn't disappoint, there's plenty of creepy, eerie, weird and plain ole paranormal going on, wrap it all up with some slimy tentacles and you've got yourself an awesome adventure. You are called into an investigation by a detective who doesn't have any paranormal experience, and when you arrive, you probably wish you didn't either. The owner of the house Dr. Gauss, may not be who she seems and when your fellow investigator is found hogtied and hypnotized we know something ain't quite right! You receive special goggles that allow you to decipher codes which in fact is a series of mini games. You are given several pairs of codes and you must place them in boxes side by side with the last symbol matching the first symbol on the next pair and when complete will reveal a message. The graphics are the usual white washed pastels that this series has perfected and I have to point out that they have done one of the best jobs of making the characters lip movements appear to match the words, that I have seen. There aren't a lot of HOS but they are interactive and progressive where you find the first item as shown as a silhouette and use that item in the scene to receive the next item and so forth. The whole place is filled with zoo animals which are displayed in your "zoo" but I really have no idea what the point of it is and you will come across several vials such as love vials to collect and there are 5 vials of 4 different potions. This is a solid and entertaining game that you will enjoy even if you haven't played any of the other Haunted Halls. Hopefully you will solve this mystery and avoid Morpheus the god of dreams and the evil Dr. Blackmore the half man half octopus creepy guy, enjoy!
What a fun game! The entire game is a takeoff of Nursery Rhymes with a twist (hence, Cursery). The Crooked Man has kidnapped your sister Renee - and several other young women over the years. Marianne and her little lamb tell you his story -- he is trying to recreate his dead fiancé. His Crooked Cat is a beastie that you have to keep defeating with one of your items. The one HOS scene in the demo is a FROG, but not too cluttered and easily viewed on large screen monitors. The puzzles are unique, with directions in rhyme - although you can have the instructions in plain English if you choose. The puzzles even seen to have a Mother Goose spin - in one you have to help 3 mice (blind?) find their way home. In another, the little pigs must defeat the wolves. You get a pop-up, teleporting map with hints, but no diary. The strategy guide is quite helpful. The hint button refills faster as you find the 20 morphing objects. There are 25 achievements and 24 collectibles (but I don't recall finding a collectible in the demo.) There are also 14 pop-up notes, but didn't find a use for them yet. The Bonus Game is about Humpty Dumpty! This is a fun game and a buy for me!
Myths of the World: Chinese Healer was groundbreaking, with a great emmersive story and atmosphere. In the second part of the series you can expect a really different setting and story, but also another amazing HOPA game. Let's start with the storyline. The story is mystic. The goddess of winter want's to rule the world with an eternal winter and only you, the child of spring can stop her, before it's too late. A great story with many great done cut scenes and characters. And in the end the great final battle, between the goddess and the Spring child awaits you. The graphics are great, unique and make the game special. They're very different from the chinese graphics in the first game, because the setting is now in a slavic land. They are very atmospheric again. You can nearly feel the snow and the cold winds. As I said before the cut scenes are nicely done too. I really love them. The Music is atmospheric too and fit's into the game. They make the atmosphere and the experience while playing even better. I really love the music, while using a spring brush, to melt ice. It makes me feel happy. The HO's are good done, but not perfect. I would really love to see more challenge in them. As in the other Eipix games they are slightly interactive. That's why I have to rate the level of challenge a bit lower than the rest. The Mini Games are a bit too easy too. Maybe it would be good to make them in two modes. Casual and Hard. But there are different puzzles than in the other Eipix games. So the mini-games are ok for me. The game play is good and not too easy. You have a helper animal, which can craft some things and you can collect coins for him. I really like, that it's not too cute. There are various achievements and it's not easy to get them all. The CE comes with many extras and a great, funny Making Of video, like you know it from the Eipix games, but this time the team sings. After all the game is great and equal to the first one. For me a worthy CE and a five star game. Eipix, you did a great job again. I can't wait for Myths of the World 3: Spirit Wolf
