I found this game to be fun. All the various aspects of the game came together to make it so.
Graphics were very good, although the action parts were not very well animated, everything else were perfect. Hidden objects were clear and the scenes were well done. Effects were really good as were the voice overs. The music went along with the action so no complaints there.
I did have a little trouble with the silhouuettes . They seemed so small and a lot cramed into a small space. This of course could be my computer and was nothing that was a problem. As mentioned the hidden objects were clear and well hidden and varied. Kept my interest throughout. Mini games, well they were mini games and although I tried to complete them, I just don't have the patience to keep clicking until I find the right combination. I don't like those, "one may effect others" types of games and this seemed to have its fair share. You have several degrees of difficulty from which to chose. The interactive map was very helpful in transporting and showing where there were areas that needed attention. Elf, bless his little heart, was a big help. I know there are those who don't like him, but he makes the game fun for me. You also have a journal, which I didn't use. Matter of fact forgot about even having it.
I won't go into the story, because Big Fish does a great job setting it up for you. The story was complete. There was a beginning and a pretty good ending. That's a rare comodity these days, but the continuity kept things moving and my interest all the way through. Great writing.
All in all this is a really good game. Play the demo and I think this will be a buy for you too. This may very well become my pick for game of the week.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this one. I normally don't care for the supernatural games, but this one was just different enough that it started out errie, stayed errie and was fun to explore the world of dreams.
The graphics were grainy, but that was part of the story. Hidden objects were clear and the music was just about as weird as the story. Voice overs were well done and the effects right along with the action.
There were numerous kinds of hidden objects, mini games, and other types of games thrown in for good measure. It was challenging enough to keep me interested and I even did some of the mini games Now, that's saying something for me. The interactive map transports you and shows where you have something to do. Needing to go to the "other world" and back it was very helpful. There is also a type of journal which shows your objectives and clues. Didn't quite figure out what the clues were to be used for, but they are there.
I won't go into the actual story. Others have done that. All I'll say is the continuity was there and easy to follow. It actually had a decent ending. Whoever wrote this did a great job.
Give it a try. I think you might like it if you don't mind having a little fright in your life. Sweet dreams...
I recommend this game!

I found this game to be fun. It doesn't quite live up to what I have expected from the past from Eipix, but it was fun nonetheless.
The graphics were excellent and the voice overs crisp and clear. The music wasn't half bad either. Hidden objects were a picture of my closet, in that everything was just piled in there, but they were pretty clear.
Although I didn't find the hidden objects very difficult at all, and only used the hint to see how fast it would re-charge, I did have difficulty with the silouettes. They just didn't seem to match anything I was looking at in the picture. There are several types of hidden objects which did make it interesting. Just when I was thinking, man, this is really a small hidden object game, it would move to a different part of the screen and I'd start all over. The minis were as hard for me as the hidden objects were simple. I just do not have the patience to sit here and try and figure them out. Not my cup of tea.I wish they would offer a match 3 or something instead of those minis like they do in some hidden object games, but that's wishful thinking on my part. You have an interactive map which transports and shows areas where there are things to do. There is a lot of back and forth to different locations and the map was a must. You also have a journal of sorts. I didn't use it very much and as matter of fact I forgot about it.
The only drawback to this game was the story. It was confusing and just didn't make any sense to me at times. For example, at one point there was mention of the lady setting the ship on fire. I swear I didn't remember such a happening. Then a while later she set the ship on fire. There were several things that didn't really tie together in the story, but it wasn't a deal breaker. When it ended... well it just ended. Kind of anti-climatic, but acceptable. I was so thrilled they have done away with the voice over boxes, they can mess up the story any way they want.
Good game. I think you might enjoy it too if you overlook a couple of the inconsistencies in the story. Give it a shot and you too can stop the Tide of Treachery.
I recommend this game!

This was a fun game. I enjoyed it, because it was interesting, it was well done, and I could actually play most of the mini games. I have the other one in this series, but for the life of me I can't recall what it is about, so it isn't a necessity to play this one. It stands alone.
The graphics were good. Not the best in the world, but very acceptable. The scenes were clean and clear and at some points even seemed to be in 3D. I ended up turning the music down a bit more than usual. Just didn't care for it for some reason. Not a game breaker, just not to my liking. Voice overs were extremely well done. I caught myself wondering, in some scenes, why there wasn't a voice over, but the ones done, were clear and understandable.
This is my kind of game. The challenge was not one that I had to rack my brain to get done. I did that for a living for many years, and I don't like doing it now that I don't have too. You have various hidden objects, morphing, shadow, and of course the lists. They were rather simple to complete. I used the hint button just to see how long it would take to recharge. Quickly I might add. As I mentioned, I actually was able to play most all of the mini games. That means I'm either getting smarter or they were simple. I would go with simple if I were a betting man. There are swords to collect in each new chapter of the game. Like usual, I forgot about them, and once you leave a chapter there is no returning, so if you are interested in collecting be sure you have all six before you leave. There is a journal which does come in handy as you go through the game along with an interactive map which does show places where you have something to do. I mentioned that the hint charges rather quickly and so does the skip.
Story is good. Not anything unusal or exceptional, but it does have a beginning and an ending, but is open for another in the series. You can read other posts for the about the story itself, I don't want to bore you with that.
All in all this is a good SE game. I want to go back and play the other game and then play this again to see how they fit togther, but at least give the demo a try. That 60 minutes goes fast, or did for me, but you will get an idea about how the game operates. And don't forget those swords! Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I had a really good time playing this today. It was hot outside and what better way to pass the time than with a good game.
The graphics and sound were, as always, excellent. Colors were pleasant and the effects right on the mark. The music, which I normally turn down some, was so good that I changed my settings so I could hear it better. Voice overs were well done too.
This had so many different types of hidden objects, really too many to mention that it kept me interested all the way through. I did have a lot of difficulty with the mini games. Most I couldn't figure out what to do even after reading the instructions over several times, but I'm not a mini guy anyway. Having said that, I have to say they were way over my head and I was thankful I used the custom setting to get the hint and skip to fill quickly. If you like challenging puzzels you will like this game. There is an interactive map which transports and shows where there are things to do. If I have one negative thing to say about this game, it is, there was so much back and forth I couldn't figure out on my own where to go or what to do were it not for the map. It was extremely necessary for me. I don't quite understand the evidence folder at all. It was of no use unless you just wanted something to read about the charaters.
I won't go into the story, because Big Fish does a great job explaining it, but suffice it to say it was interesting. A bit hard to follow at times, but eventually I got caught up in it. At least it wasn't a fairy tale for a change.
Give the demo a shot. I don't think you will look at the next carnival you attend in the same light.
Person note: I don't know what the differnce is in the past couple of Eipix games, but they have slipped a bit in quality and content. That is not to say they are bad games, it just isn't the same as it use to be. I use to buy Eipix games without even playing the demo, but I've become a bit more careful..
Enjoy your trip to the carnival and just be ready for all the twists and turns offered by this game.
I recommend this game!

This is posted after playing the entire game. I played all 200 levels to the end, because I gave a rousing review on another Match game only to find the story ended shortly after posting.
I have to admit I was disappointed in the fun of this game. Now, I realize fun is in the eyes of the player, but this was not my idea of fun. More below.
The graphics were awesome! They did a fantastic job on that. The effects were the same throughout the game, pop, bang and so on, as was the music. It was on a repeat, although pleasant it did get old after a while.
I play these games in casual mode. I don't do well with timed games, but perhaps I would have been better off had I played in the timed mode. It would have brought a bit of excitement to the game. There are 200 levels where you build castles bit by bit. You get to purchase bombs, a larger treasure chest and other aids for the game.
Now, the disappointing thing was the lack of any story whatsoever. Just matching.. PERIOD! Had there been a story with it this would be a great game.
If you just like matching three or more items this game is for you. I suggest playing it in timed mode to give a little excitement to the game.
I recommend this game!

I made it though the demo and found the game lacking in fun and understanding. It was okay and maybe I'm just tired of the fairy tale games we have had here of late, but it took all I could do to finish the trial. It is mediocre at best.
The graphics were cartoonish, but pretty. Music was pleasant and went along with the scenes and the voice overs were really good.
There are numerous hidden object scenes and just as varied. That was one saving grace of the game. They were well done and well hidden. Minis are minis. There are several of them too, most I skipped because I don't care for minis, but that's just me. There is an interactive map which will transport and show you where there are things to do, but it seemed like once I got there I couldn't figure out what to do. I know, I'm stupid, but that's why they have that wonder hint button. The hint and skip are not as fast filling as I like, but eventually I got everything.
The story, like most all fairy tales, is unrealistic which may be why I am not happy with this. I know the developers worked hard to present a wonderful game and you might like it. I wish I hadn't used up all my demo time so my granddaughter could have checked it out when she comes to visit. This might be right down her alley. As for me, I'll have to pass.
I recommend this game!

This is going to be a difficult post for me. I so much wanted to like this game for no other reason than there was a male lead for a change and I didn't have to dig into the closet for my high heels again. However, I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the game. It just wasn't as much fun as the previous games in this series. The explanation will follow.
The graphics and sound were excellent as usual. Voice overs were well done and the music was fine and went along with the story. Effects were also good.
The level of challenge was definitely high for me. While the hidden object scenes were clear, they had them well hidden. There were several different kinds of hidden objects within one scene. Kept me interested. Then there was my nemesis ... the dreaded mini games. Those kicked my behind. Most I couldn't figure out what to do and so didn't have any instructions. Yes, I am thankful the skip button charged quickly. I guess I just don't have the patience or will to sit here and try and figure them out. I try them all, but didn't complete very many. There is an interactive map which transports and does show you where there are things to be done. I'm thankful for that, because there is a tremendous amount of jumping back and forth, perhaps too much back and forth, but I would hate to have tried it without that map.
The biggest problem I had was with the story. It seemed to jump around from thing to thing and at times just made no sense. All the other games in the series were well written, but either there were new writers or I missed something along the way that made it lose it's context. I will be playing this again soon and will see if that was the problem or if it is just a bad story line.
All in all it is an okay game. I do believe it could have been better for the reasons mentioned above. I know this seems to be a negative review, but it is a good game and I think you should give it a try.
I recommend this game!

This game was fun and brought me quite a bit of enjoyment. The humor and the characters made it much more fun than most games here lately.
Graphics were fine and the sound, including the music was excellent. Colors were true to the scene and not so much the fairy tale pinks and purples we've been seeing. Voice overs were fantastic.
I found the challenge to my liking. Hidden objects were many and varied in content from the list to shadows and everything in-between. There is an interactive map which is really an asset. In the same case with the map is a task list and memos to help if needed. I found I didn't look at either of those very much. Hint and skip recharge quickly and the hint is unusual. I hate to admit it, but it took me a few minutes to figure out how it worked.
The story was fun and funny. Drake was a hoot. I'm not sure exactly how precise the history is, but it made a good story.
Give this one a try. It was long enough for me and challenging enough that I liked it.
I recommend this game!

I found this game to be very much to my liking. It was fun to play and can't wait to play it again.
Graphics were very good and the sound quality was excellent, especially the voice overs. The only difficulty was when the villain spoke. It was rather hard to understand, but other than that everything about the sound was good. It is a colorful game and pleasant on the eyes.
Hidden objects were varied from lists to association to others. This was not difficult, but for the simplicity of the hidden objects, was made up in the mini games. I found them extremely difficult. Keep in mind I do not like mini games very much, but these, the majority I couldn't figure out what to do. The ones I did try were interesting. Just glad I set the skip as fast as it would go. If you like hard, to me anyway, mini games, you'll like this one. There is an interactive map which will transport and show you where things can eventually be done, not necessarily right then, but some time along the line. You can gain lives as the avenger takes yours by answering riddles which was kind of new.
The story kept my attention all the way through and enjoyed all the little twists and turns along the way. It has a beginning and an end which also has a twist to it.
All in all this is a fun, challenging game with wonderful graphics, sound and an interesting story. Give it a shot. I think you'll like it as much as I did.
I recommend this game!
