There is no doubt this is a looong game, and there are many twists and turns before the final resolution. I have to commend Domino for an interesting storyline and excellent visuals and sound (mostly, apart from some of the character voices which were not well acted). There were also no technical issues that I could see. However, I found many HOP scenes to be very dark, unclear and unoriginal. In many instances I played the match 3 option in desperation - Domino used to take the time to change the match 3 pictures to march the storyline. But no longer it seems. The puzzles were quite interesting but also very familiar? There are three collectables and the map will show you if you have missed any in a scene. On the whole, this is a decent game but I am not sure if its worth the collector edition cost. Play the demo and make your own minds up.
So tired of easy copy-cat silly games which have become the norm lately. I bought this game without playing it and have not been disappointed. I have been a fan of this series since the very first game came out in 2014. I own all the games and honestly can say that the series is among my all time favourites. I am replaying them from the first one, Dark Overlord, at the moment and its just as good as this latest one. What a great adventure Sand Capitivy is. We become part of the story and it makes the gameplay so much better. This is a long game filled with new locations and a fantastic story. I love the map which is a feature throughout the series. Very easy to pop back to old locations and you can set up the map to show collectibles missed. This is not a hand-holding game . And yes it may seem irritating that the strategy guide is not immediately available to help - trust me, in this case, its really worth trying to fight your way through to the answer on your own. Of course you can just use your phone to grab shots of the answers -just saying!! We die-hard PC games fans deserve games like this - Big Fish needs to take note. New releases of this calibre are few and far between lately. One last thing, although this was never a feature of this developer, does anyone miss the fantastic EPIX intro that used to lead into games?

Once again, this developer has produced a fabulous game. I love the map showing your progression through the game and the storyline is great. I was sold the moment i saw purple eyes!! I do not really understand the weak reviews submitted - this is a long game with nany twists and turns. Give it a try

I read other reviews before I bought this game. Very disappointing as I have really enjoyed the other games in this series. It felt like the developers were just going through the motions, a few easy collectibles in each scene, a bit of going here and going there and bright colours. This is not good enough for those of us who actually spend money on buying games - have a bit of respect for us as customers and game players The storyline was ok and could have been a lot more exciting I won't buy another game from these developers until they improve their approach - always loved their games, automatic purchase for me as a rule But they need to try a lot harder

I don't normally submit reviews but had to put pen to paper (!!!) to shout out from the rooftops how great this game is. Full of surprises although I had guessed the final one. Puzzles are different and mostly very innovative. I often skip puzzles because they are just too complicated to bother, but these have just enough challenge make you to want to finish them. As for the HOPs - yikes. Once again game changing. Thank you to the developers for producing such an exciting game.

I loved this game - beautifully coloured without being garish, beautifully told, seamless flowing from screen to screen. What a georgous adventure. I almost never comment on the technical aspects of a game but it seems to me this game has no flaws! Fabulous Buy it Play it - over and over again so you don't miss a thing!

I normally do not review a game without playing it all first but I did enjoy this a lot - played to the end of the trial with 27 minutes left on the clock. Visually I think this is a treat - surround views of scenes with lots of colour and interest. Sound was a bit of a problem - I did choose my levels but I could not seem to balance music vs speech vs effects and every time something exciting happened, the confused combined noise was too much. There was no option to lower the sound for cut scenes! The HOPs and puzzles were good - not too easy for me anyway, and I enjoyed them all. The storyline grabbed me (I know it's all been done before in different ways) and I was pulled into it once I got past the initial werewolf intro. Imagine all us half-humans hiding in plain sight! Who knew! SPOILER I did feel quite bad for the first victim whose medical care seemed unduly delayed!! There are plenty of morphs and collectibles in each scene as well as the handy indicator on the side to let you know if you have found them all. The map is good and your all-important folder for clues is present although not as logical as it could be in terms of placing the clues. I will be buying this game, I want to know who is what and what is next. For a game player like me who likes to escape into new worlds now and then - this ticks all the boxes without complicating things unduly.
A collector's edition without the price, this is a great little adventure for those of us who love a bit of magic and colour in our games. I unashamedly love this sort of thing, and make no apologies. Suitable for all ages, you jump from stunning scene to scene while you try and find your kidnapped son. I know, it has all be done before but give this game a try for a bit of enjoyable escapism! With the same visual quality of Persian NIghts: Sands of Wonder, this is a standard game with extras. The fact that my download did not include these is an ongoing irritation, which is why I have not given this game a 5.

How wonderful to play a memorable Dark Parables. As all the old fans know, the last few games have been less than enjoyable and were very unlike the original games. This game ticks all the boxes - loads of FROGS and yes, other frogs appear too. The familiar sounds and colours bring it all back and the characters are true to form. The storyline is pure fairytale. It took 90 minutes to get to Chapter 2 so then I had to buy it. Riveting. Thank you for listening to diehard fans by producing an excellent Dark Parables.

So happy to play the latest Hero game. Bought it immediately and, after a couple of days playing, I still have a way to go. There is something soooo addictive about this game - I found I had played around three hours without a break!! This game is fun, colourful and wonderfully noisy. Thank you Big Fish
