Well, I wouldn't pay for the Collector's Edition, but I did like the game. Though, wowza, was that dark.

Having read all the Oz books, I tend to have high expectations, and this met them. It incorporated all the characters you know and love (or if you haven't read the books, some you don't know). My only complaint is that it's not a series. I'd love to follow Petra around while she busts the criminals of the Emerald City.
It's a lot of fun, an incredible challenge (with hints so you don't go entirely crazy) and a new spin on an old story. The only thing that I would definitely say is DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER! It's awesome, but if you start out here, you'll be too frustrated to go on.
It was a lot of fun, H.O.G.'s that actually had a relevance to the story (which makes for a nice change, instead of just collecting random objects) which lead to puzzles. Also a running search for items throughout the game, and pictures of the objects so you know what they look like. It's not going to challenge you to the outer limits or anything, but it's good fun.
I'm a big fan of the Hidden Mysteries series, and while I like Notre Dame a teensy bit more, this one is a VERY close second. I love English history and in this game you get to meet the Princes in the Tower, Richard III, Shakespeare, and more! Admittedly, the story premise (and video) is pretty lame, but once you get started the story is compelling. The navigation is great (unlike Buckingham Palace) and so is are the maps/hints. It is a little gruesome, but it's British history!
Perhaps part of the reason I dislike this one is my arachnophobia. Otherwise though, it seemed like a lot of "one tiny item in this room! Another one way over here!". Still..it's not awful or anything. The first one was more cheerful and to my liking.
After using a secret alias to board the Titanic, things go terribly wrong and you find yourself trapped among the wreckage. In order to earn freedom from your watery tomb you must appease your captor by re-writing history and freeing the spirits trapped aboard the 'unsinkable' luxury liner as well as discover why fate has chosen this destiny for you.
I enjoyed it quite a lot. It was difficult, but if you click on the "Blueprints" tab, it shows you a map where you have tasks to complete which makes it a lot easier. It is totally creepy though...you're trapped underwater, with sea creatures, souls, and a weird evil spirity thing. Good story.
I love Hidden Mysteries, but this one is pretty dumb. It doesn't even let you navigate from room to room, just shows you a map. No compelling plot. Just...eh.
This is a pleasant, amusing game, where you meet fun characters in whimsical locals. It's definitely not as developed as other games, but it's workable and has really inventive mini-games (such as color by number, etc). It was a bit choppy, and without the hints I wouldn't have figured out what I was supposed to do (once a character tells you something, it's gone--so if you can't remember the clue you'll just have to get hints until you figure it out) but there were plenty of hints, and the ability to skip mini-games. The free trial probably took me just less than halfway to the end. Basically, if you're sick of hunting evil clowns or finding the "true identity" of Jack the Ripper, this game will be a nice change of pace for you.
