This game is all kinds of terrible. The puzzles are completely obscure and illogical. You have to guess or read walkthroughs to figure out the next steps because the hints given are just as oblique as the game itself. There is no way to skip puzzles. The music note bit is nearly impossible. The only way this game makes sense if it was in an arcade and you had to pay them each time you died. Lastly, why on earth they decided to name the characters after "Hamlet" is beyond me, since that has nothing to do with anything.
I don't recommend this game.

The other reviewers are right. Items are TINY and bizarrely hidden, puzzles are strange, hints take 60 seconds to recharge, and you have to use them because you can't see all the items in the HOGs. No way to manipulate skill level. Deleted. If you're really into the era, you may be able to push through just for the ambience.
I don't recommend this game.

This game would be awesome if it had at least twice as many levels. It is very logic based, and it does definitely provide a challenge, but there's only 3 levels and then infinite timed levels.
I recommend this game!

As has been said before, the game basically holds your hand throughout, and is exceptionally short (and my standards on this are not very high). It's fun enough, though. I like that you construct objects to further gameplay, though it is a bit confusing, since an object will light up to signify that it is in the room even if you have to complete other puzzles before finding it (lock icon only appeared occasionally) and sometimes if you're only the correct set of rooms.
If you can't figure out what to do with an extra credit, go for it--if you're paying for it, don't bother.

Matches and Matrimony: A Pride and Prejudice Tale
Help a Bennet sister find a husband as you take a starring role in Jane Austen’s most popular novels in Matches & Matrimony!
One of the best games that I've ever bought from Big Fish. Basically a choose-your-own-adventure Jane Austen novel, with all of her best characters and most witty scenes. Guarantees HOURS of game play to achieve all nine endings. If you're a fan of Austen novels, I can't recommend it highly enough. The graphics are a bit basic, and there are no voice overs, but that didn't detract at all from the charm as far as I'm concerned. They also have a Hints section to help you get to the ending you want, and a Head-Start option, so the beginning doesn't get too tedious after repeated game play.
I recommend this game!

Small HOG games to break up monotony (not that I experienced any, but I guess that's why) and just the perfect speed of advancing in difficulty.

Basically, non-dark, non-creepy, super fun adventure game with HOGs. The only two things I didn't like about it were: 1) You can't skip the dialogue and you can't replay it. Since I play with the sound off, I didn't even realize that people were talking sometimes until halfway through the speech. Second, you can't skip some of the mini-games, so if you really hate the "flip over all the button" type games...tough. Otherwise, is appended with an excellent walkthrough so you will NEVER be lost. Seriously though, lots of fun, lots of London!
I recommend this game!

I agree with earlier reviews. NOT nearly as good as the other ones! You can't speed up video play--you either skip the whole thing or you sit through all the transitions, finding objects is completely random. Overall, just weird to play...disappointment abounds.

Fun combination of hidden object and mini-games, and, unlike most games, the mini-games actually have a greater purpose in the plot-line. I found the gnomes a little annoying, but nothing too bad. Easy to navigate, and a fun mystery game without being dark. Only way to improve would be to allow access to the mini-game auction after completion of game.
