To be clear, I am not a fan of Do Games. The repetition in tasks was always too much. However, this game is different. It had generous gameplay, great storyline, and interesting mini games. The HOG scenes were better than any Do Game of recent memory (and they're lots of them). Yes, I happen to recommend this one! Well done Do!
This is what a CE should be! Generous game-play, great story lines, visually beautiful, good music, and challenging. I honestly can't remember the last time all the boxes were checked for me. This game was absolutely a pleasure to play. Well done Five-BN!
In a nutshell, it was way too short to be a CE. Shortest CE I've seen in a while. It was fun though and the storyline was excellent. I just wished it had more game play.
It was a true pleasure playing this game. Not complicated, not overbearing, just relaxing. I love a good mystery! This was a really good time! I'm glad I bought it!
I agree with reviewer, cbtx, on all points. With that said, if you are new to HOPA or just want a simple, easy time this would be it. There's nothing new here to see folks. Do I recommend this game? Not for experienced players who want a challenge or something different. This will not be the game to play.
Christmas Wonderland 14! The instant I hear that familiar music, I smile! I would not miss the season without playing this game. It amazes me how it can stay the same and still be great fun! Casual Arts do not change a thing! At this point these characters and extras are like family to me. Love, love, love this time of year and playing Christmas Wonderland!
This game had everything for me! Visually pleasing, great storyline, challenging, and length of game play. Not to mention great music. This one reminded me of earlier installs. The master detective is, EVERYTHING! I really enjoyed this game. Loved the nod to Ravenhearst. Well done, GrandMa!
I am truly ambivalent about these last few Grim Tales games. As I have them all from the beginning, I am unsure if these newer games carry the same energy as the older ones. Can it really be a Grim Tale without Richard? Bringing in the mother a while back just didn't add anything to the series for me. I did buy it, mainly out of nostalgia. Would I recommend buying it? No. If you must have it use your credits. I just don't like what GT has become.
This game is just as the title says, "Sweet Home..." I felt happy playing this game. It made me smile. It's been a while since I've played a game that was just good fun. Keep 'em coming! The scenes were visually pleasing, bright, and challenging. Yep, this one was a good buy.
I liked this edition to the series! The only "con" I would say, out of many pros is the lack of painting recognition. I loved how the earlier editions would give you the painting's title. Then I'd look it up. I loved going to the museum websites to get a better look at the painting. But, this edition just says "you've revealed this picture". Disappointing not knowing the name of the paintings. With that said, it's still very enjoyable and beautiful. I bought it.
