You play as a Chinese healer enlisted to cure the Emperor's son. Game play is very straight forward. The HOS are okay, more difficult in the bonus chapter than the main game. The mini games are okay, nothing unique or too difficult. I became bored with them and used the skip button a lot. There is a map which I never used. You also have a journal that does come in handy a time or two. The graphics are okay, the voice overs are well done, the animation is not good and there are a million cut scenes.
The "healer's kit" was a huge disappointment for me. I thought it would be mixing various items to make a "potion" but it wasn't. The bonus chapter was okay and gave a proper ending to the story.
I wanted to like this game and should have done a demo prior to purchasing. It is definitely not worth the price of a CE. If you are looking for an easy game, this would fit that bill. Just don't expect too much out of it.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is a lot of fun to play. It is quite different from a lot of the darker/scarier games, which is a nice change of pace. You play as the grandchild of a women who once lived in this fantastic house. You land in the sub-basement and have to find your way out. The HOS are unique in that you find 12 of a specific item (square things, cylindrical things, gems, etc.). The mini games were fun, not too difficult. The mechanical creatures are so much fun. The voice overs are well done and the music is not bad. You definitely want to have the sound turned on so you can hear all the mechanical creatures/items.
You collect diary pages as you move through the game. They are interesting and add to the back story. There is a map of sorts, but you don't really need it. The game is shorter than some, but it is so much fun. I almost wish I'd purchased the CE version just to have more game play.
I highly recommend this game!

This is an excellent sequel! This game is so much fun. You are a museum director and are recruited to help save the siren. This game is a bit more serious than the first, but was so much fun to play. The graphics and cut scenes are excellent, the voice overs are well done, the HOS are great, the mini games were fun (some very unique ones, although not too difficult). The story line was so engaging. There are achievements and morphing objects to find.
While the main game was excellent and had a satisfying ending, the bonus chapter added a new dimension to the story and set up another sequel.
The SG is built in, the map allows you to jump to various areas and shows you where the "to do" items are located. The music was nice and appropriate for the game. The extras consisted of concept art, music, cut scenes and HOS to replay.
I highly recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game. You play as a detective trying to discover why a town is being besieged by an evil organ grinder. The graphics are excellent, the iHOS are fun, the mini games are good (not too hard), the voice overs are well done. The music is okay, but I turned the volume way down because it got annoying after awhile.
Throughout the game you encounter mythic creatures that you must defeat to collect "fate" cards and continue on with the game. You also collect 10 "pets" which are easy to find (really too easy to find). The ending of the main game is satisfying. The bonus chapter begins where the main game ends and adds a new location. The bonus chapter was a nice addition to the game.
There is a built-in SG which is helpful. There is also an interactive map; however, locations with "to do" items do not always show on the map. The other bonus material is standard concept art, music and wallpaper. You also get a gallery of the lost "pets" and jigsaw puzzles of the creatures you had to defeat.
I recommend this game and thought it was definitely worth the price of a CE.

This game is good, but not great. You play as a mother in search of her daughter. The daughter has gone missing while on holiday in Italy. The graphics are excellent, the cut scenes are good (and you can click through the dialogue), the HOS are very challenging, the mini games are good (but nothing new). The diary is helpful and the story unfolds as you find sketches you daughter left behind. The built-in SG is helpful. The hint button recharges quickly, but you won't need it often. The conclusion of the main game is somewhat abrupt and unsatisfying.
The bonus chapter augments the main story, but has an abrupt and unsatisfying ending. It seemed designed to set up a sequel.
There are achievements to find during both the main game and bonus chapters, but they where not well-defined. I was usually surprised when I earned an achievement. As part of the bonus content, you can replay the HOS and mini games, there is music, concept art and wallpaper. The music is annoying and I muted it after a few minutes.
The game was fun to play, but you have to be prepared for the disappointing end.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game, but it does have some bad points. The main characters are you, your husband, your mother and a young boy. Obviously the Titanic sinks in the end, but you have things to do around the ship before that happens. There is an extraordinary amount of dialogue during the game; however, you can click through it. The HOS are excellent, they are well lit and the items are challenging to find. The mini games are acceptable, some are really easy. The interactive map is useful. The graphics are good and the cut scenes are excellent. The voice overs are acceptable. The music is annoying, but it can be muted. Towards the end, you have to decide whether to go with your mother or husband, which does make it a bit interesting.
The downside to this game is there doesn't seem to be a storyline. You run around the ship doing things, but there doesn't seem to be much of a point. There are also times where you can't figure out what to do next. The walkthrough is really helpful. There are times when the game drags.
There is a bonus section, not really a chapter, that provides some interesting information regarding things that went wrong. There is nothing new, but it is interesting.
The ending of the game is not a mystery and the game does have some annoyances, but it is a nice change of pace from some of the darker/scarier games. If the annoyances don't bother you, I would recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game! The graphics are stunning, the voice overs are well done, the iHOS are interesting and have a time travel element. You are a young man in search of his true past. You travel to an island and the search begins. There are lots of things to find and places to visit. The interactive map is excellent. You get portions of the back story as you move through the game. The SG is built in and does come in handy at certain times.
The bonus chapter adds to the story and is a good length. Other bonus content consists of playing the iHOS again but having to look for artifacts in each scene and playing a word game where you have a picture and try to figure out the word it represents (they give you a set of letters from which to chose for each word). You also get the standard concept art, wall paper and music.
My only complaint about this game is the story gets a bit muddled at times. The ending of the main game was somewhat abrupt. The ending of the bonus chapter leads one to believe there will be a sequel. While this aspect didn't really bother me, it may be a big deterrent to some gamers.
I definitely recommend this game.

I was really looking forward to this game. I enjoyed the first two in the series, but this one is something of a disappointment. The game was short and the bonus chapter was not really worth the price of a CE. There were lots of iHOS (which I usually enjoy), but some of the interactive parts were confusing. The mini games were fairly good, but some of the instructions were too minimal. There were some "potion" making mini games which I really enjoy. The achievements revolved around finding "golden" animals that ended up looking like stone statues.
The interactive map was a nice feature and worked well. There were lots of locations to visit, but the story wasn't engaging enough to hold my interest. There is a built in SG which is always nice. The voice overs and graphics were well done. I muted the music (which I do with almost every game).
I really wanted to like this game, but it just didn't capture my imagination. I would not spend the money for the CE, but might consider the SE. The ending of the main game is satisfying and there is no need for the bonus chapter.
I hope the developers will go do a better job if there is a fourth installment.
If you are looking for a short game with nice graphics, I recommend the SE version of this game. Do not spend the money for the CE version.
I don't recommend this game.

I really enjoyed this game! You play as a woman trying to rescue her fiance from an underwater city that's been invaded by an ancient evil power. The graphics are excellent, voice overs are well done, cut scenes are good and not too numerous. The iHOS are excellent, they are not too cluttered and relatively well lit. The storyline is engaging and the underwater setting is a nice change of pace.
The mini games are good, not too hard, but fun. Some of them are "mix the potion" type which I really enjoy. There is a map which shows the location of "to be done" items. It is not an interactive map, which would have been nice. There is also a diary; however, I seldom used it. I can't say much about the hint button because I never used it.
There is a bonus chapter which added to the back story and was enjoyable. There are also achievements, which is really nice in an SE game. Also, if you don't like HOS, you can play a game of dominoes instead.
The only annoying thing about this game is the music, but I muted it.
I highly recommend this game. It is a nice change of pace from some of the darker games but still retains enough mystery to keep you engaged.
I recommend this game!

This game could have been great. The graphics are good, achievements/collectibles are fun, HOS were interactive (this is both good and bad in this game), good interactive map letting you jump between locations and built in SG. The game revolves around two brothers. You play as the "world traveler" brother that has come home to see his "genius inventor" brother. Your brother is kidnapped by flying people and you have to rescue him.
When I first saw the flying people, they reminded me of the flying monkeys in "The Wizard of Oz" so i had that music stuck in my head for awhile. They developers insist on using live actors for the "genius inventor," his nemesis, his wife and his child. The actors are not very good and the lip-syncing is beyond horrible. If they had stayed away from the live actors, it would have improved the game.
The hint button (which you won't ever need) is poorly positioned. I hit it a couple times while in HOS scenes without meaning to do so. Some of the achievements are not cumulative. If you can't finish the game in one sitting, you will miss out on some achievements because the counters are reset when you go back to continue game play.
The mini games are fun. They are not too difficult, so you won't need the skip button.
The story definitely requires suspension of belief, but had potential to be really entertaining had it been handled better.
The HOS had potential to be really entertaining because you use items from your inventory to complete certain objects you have to find. Unfortunately, several of them had items that you hadn't found which required continuing game play and coming back to the HOS later.
If you can overlook the annoyances, the game does have some fun parts. Definitely use the interactive map to travel between locations. If you don't, you will spend forever going back and forth. It is a long game and the bonus chapter is good (and would have been excellent if not for the live actors).
Other bonus material includes the standard wallpaper, concept art, etc. There is also a philanthropy section where you can spend points you earned during the game. This was okay, but not what I was expecting.
Overall, I recommend this game as long as you can overlook the annoyances.
I recommend this game!
