Really did like this game. Kept me entertained. Art work was very well done. Enjoyed the puzzles that allowed you to continue. The HO games were fine...not hard and not too intrusive.
The game was fairly short...just a few hours. You do backtrack to various locations but I didn't mind as the artwork was so lush particularly after you help the witchdoctor.
Ending was rather strange but didn't really detract from the game.
Part of the game was to find "hidden" origamis to unlock another part of the game. I didn't realize this until too late so I didn't get the required # so I don't know what you get to do if you do this.
I would recommend.
I recommend this game!

I liked the game. I felt it started out really good but then seemed to lose steam. The beginning has some good puzzles and was atmospheric. Then it started to drag and became rather typical.
It was also very short. I got it as part of a BOGO free so it was entertaining for the few bucks. I think the developers could have made a better game if they would have stuck with the opening "feel" and gotten rid of the gnomes.
I don't recommend this game.

This was a pretty good game. I liked that it was modern times. I liked most of the puzzles. Some where amazingly obvious if you had the info. Others were trial and error but I liked those. I don't know why it had HOGs as they were not many and did not enhance the game. But then again, I am not a big HOG fan.
I also liked how it had slot placement for items you were searching for so you would not forget that you needed an item.
All in all, worth playing...even more since I got it as part of BOGO deal.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game as it was very similar to the old Gabriel Knight games. Dialogue, inventory based puzzles. The graphics were very good.
My only downsides: 1) I like a mix of puzzle and inventory-based solutions and this was mostly the latter. 2) Some of the solutions were a bit bizzare. I have issues with some actions that make you do things with certain inventory items when there is a more logical solution.
All in all, it was a good game tho and would recommend.
I recommend this game!

Surprised it is getting 4+ stars. I found it to be tedious running from floor to floor in an hospital/asylum looking for clues. I also found the HO games jarring as you made your way from puzzle to puzzle. I think there are much better games to choose from so this would not be one I would recommend.
I don't recommend this game.

The concept sounded good. So here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
-Lengthy adventure with a lot of places to visit so you don't feel claustrophobic.
-Includes a jump-map so you can click to get to most places which is nice as you do a lot of retracing of steps to find items or clues.
- Includes NOTES which often are the only way to know what you are to do next and generally alerts you if you have done what you need to do.
-Most of the puzzles were pretty good and once you had an idea of what you were doing, it made sense.
-A few scares that were actually well done and unexpected.
Cons:
- The solutions were rather bizarre with combining modern day items with "elements" to progress. Hard to explain unless you are playing it.
- I had a walkthru handy as I often had no idea what to do next. Or let's say "I" knew but I couldn't get my character to know as I had not done something for them to know the next action.
-Node movement was generally OK but there were several times I missed seeing something as the node movement was not logical to view the item.
BOTTOM LINE: I would recommend buying it and playing. It just wasn't the most logical game but worth playing due to its length and story.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game as it harkened back to the old days of PC adventures rather than all these HOGs. I liked the 360 views of my surroundings as I always feel claustrophobic in the "set view" games. I liked the storyline of a prophecy of murders and trying to determine if it was man-made events. I probably was the least enamored with the making of potions, not that it was hard, but just that it seemed tedious. Thankfully it is not a major part of the game so it was not a big deal.
All in all, it was worth the large download and I really felt immersed in the settings and the ability to shift between two people to solve the murders.
Would recommend if you are an "old adventure game" lover.
I recommend this game!

I liked the game and the atmosphere. Maybe it was because it was dark, cold and rainy here so the snow added to the overall environment. The storyline was OK with the premise being missing students who were investigating some Celtic legend related to Dire Grove. It just didn't really grab me and I think because of the storyline, they were limited to what type of thrills to put into scenes - which ended up being a ghostly figure in mirrors and outside of windows and constant snow across the screen. A different premise would have allowed for a better thrill factor. The HOGs were OK but I found myself wandering from location to location to determine if a new one had surfaced to give me the item I needed to further the story. Visuals were good, puzzles were generally logical and not too difficult. It took me about 6 hours to play with breaks to do laundry, etc.
Was hoping for more suspenseful. All in all, I would recommend but just cannot put it at the top of my list as best I've played. Nor would I recommend with an exclamation point after the statement.
I recommend this game!

This game reminded me of the old King's Quest games of yore. It was extremely short. I bet it was about an hour and half at best. I accidentally bought the wrong game so I can't be really harsh. This would be a good game for a young person as the puzzles are simplistic. Graphics are good, story cute.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoyed the game but not a 5 level. The actions were fun and I enjoyed travelling to different times and places initially. But after awhile I got tired of having to have a specific inventory item and leaving one location, grabbing the item from another and returning. You have limited inventory slots so you can't just pack up your "steamer trunk" and pull out what you need where you need it. But all in all it was worth playing....frankly I've paid ten times as much for PC games that were not as well crafted or as graphically pleasing. Worth the money!
I recommend this game!
