I love the dark and glinting mist-swirling environment of the landscape, after all this is the afterlife, for those who can never die to this world. I like the high quality visual effects, especially the collectibles, morphing and glass, and the zoom area milky pallor effect. The morphing collectibles were little, yet they were so meticulously detailed and real-looking that I haven't minded working a little to find them, as they are well worth discovering. The first glass figurine I found as the cat, beautiful and sleek, and my favourite, but all of them are nice to my eyes, which matters the more if I must work for my reward. I was glad there were so many of them.
The puzzles have been easy for me and this is nice if you want to play in the wee hours or slightly buzzed or after not sleeping, all of which are times. Also, these puzzles, what Ive seen of them, will be even nicer for someone who hasn't seen them before, for whom they would be far from easy (and more difficult versions of these logic oriented puzzles would dampen their potential for impressing newer people for whom the systems await unraveling) but I really like more levels to these puzzles, taking players up steps from easy to medium to almost challenging to one more. I like difficulty level options better than only super easy, but there is still no time of day when I cant follow steps from the introductory level to one of challenge and I honestly prefer that method for next time. This is something that can sell strategy-guides/collectors-editions as well, though I could never live without the beautiful little objects I collect, so you wont have to worry about losing me. I will always opt for the inclusive game, when it is this wonderful.

The story is exciting. The cartoon version is okay, and creatively and intelligently acted, but I wasn't thrilled by the obnoxious no-frillsy sound effect the hint button makes, like a person shouldn't have the right to a very special unobtrusive or subtle hint button when they just want to hear the story, interact with it, and tackle challenging puzzles here and there. Is it being done on purpose? The same sound ruins the pleasure of the game for me again when I reach to accept objects from characters when they offer things. I remember feeling relief when the music relieved me of the stupid sound.
The morphing objects were not . There were tiny little sillouettes which blended into the background because they were so faint (the shapes were undefined until found) they faded out and reappeared without ever morphing into a different shape. I prefer actual morphing objects that shapeshift. I like more visual effects and interactive setting.
The hidden object scenes in the demo were entertaining.
I especially loved the second of the two replayable minigames as it was for me enough of a challenge in hard mode that it was something to enjoy that I could happily keep this CE on my PC for, if the rest of the game was more lavish and unobtrusive, especially if other minigames are similarly fun and I don't even mind the too easy if it is beautiful.
I liked at least one of the wallpapers (the last) and am always glad to get so many screensavers. I thought the achievement page was ingenious, not that I think of achievements as a useful addition, myself, but this one was tasteful. I can't really say I have an opinion of the music. I would never save the music they selected but that doesn't mean anything.
The game is slow but not slower than most and is well thought out with objects in the right places for finding them. I did not enjoy some of the sounds or anything at all about the hint button, but I did enjoy the demo.

This Kingmaker game was very honestly fun, with a story that made sense from beginning to end and kept me interested, artwork that was creative, nice to look at, appealingly voiced. I played through to the end and then played the bonus game. I loved the stories and I think they were well told. The hops were thematic and items were worth looking for. The puzzles were smart and fit the story setting well. The more common than other puzzles "swordfight / trace an elaborate pathway without lifting your pencil / sword" puzzles were a challenge toward the end of the game for me, I mean, who never practiced that. The first few were quite easy but it did not stay like that and I was happy to see a number of more challenging sword fights were replayable like the other kinds of puzzles, some of which were not easy. All of them were fun. I liked a few of the videos, the imax falling scene, my favourite. Iliked the music. Even though they are not uncommon, I loved the tiny interactive woodland critters, especially the first I saw, a grey squirrel so faint against stone I mistook him for a well hidden morphing object I hadn't noticed, until he reappeared real sneaky. He had not disappeared but skittered down around the steps to hide. The morphing medallion was not an unpleasant experience. It seemed almost regal, this ghostly decal, but it only had one form and I think a morphing object should have at least two forms. Disappearing isn't enough, sure some people like things to be harder to find and disappearing does that, but the morphing object in a collector's edition, for me, is a visual event. I locate them for the sheer joy of leaving them on the page to watch them shapechange in the background. Because they can be a really addictive add in, I usually don't settle for collectors editions that don't bother with them. So one image that disappears and reappears could be less than I want but it is still more appropriate visually than say a tiny scrape or squiggle that changes into a slightly different tiny scribble rarely, which is what some gamemakers are trying to get extra interest the other way.
I did not want my brother to be king, though. I was smarter than him.
Try it and see.
I recommend this game!

I like (most) all of the Egyptian theme games, so I had to try this one.The path is deadly and the beautiful Ruby must watch her every footfall. The path to the royal treasures she seeks in order to make offering to the monolithic living deity Anubis is not for the incautious. Squares of floor fall out from under her, shutter, act as elevator shafts, and gape open before her. Walls circulate when she steps onto sensors. Ruby might fall and lode a small amount of her health, but don't feel off, because it can be the only way to get one pf those lucky power dots, optional until you fall, but the mountain is filled with them. It's all good. I really enjoy the visual and quality. The pictures are creatively stunning and pleasant to look at even constantly. There is a lot of sand stone and black pits and prizes, money, and gems, but there are also evocative moments, like when you have found all the pieces of the picture on the wall of the tomb and all of several gems in a set and are offering up the key you've earned to someone very tall and dark and handsome! The mini-games are also awesome(!) They are not all the same and they vary in level. The pictures in the shell-game / memory matching have clean lines, jewel-like hues, and authentic ancient Egypt flavour. They start out all simple matching, but I have worked up to other games! I am still playing my first game. So, you never know. I could be trapped in the cavern for all time. Still, I recommend this game. It is a not bad place to get lost in. I think it may even be good for the mind. Let alone the soul.
I recommend this game!

I love everything about this game except one thing. I played through every level. Yes!!! That was a challenge. Now, all my stars are filled. Where is the treasure chest full of tools I once earned by playing adding a star to an unfinished level? I would like to start over again. I uninstalled and reinstalled it hoping to start the game from scratch. My stars didn't disappear. They never disappear. So I have to wait for the levels that say they are "coming soon" and I know they won't come if I don't have any data. Why do I have to wait? Beautiful colourful well lighted fun delightful neat creative visuals. Fun upbeat enjoyable music and pleasant sound effect. Best fun ever.

The setting is really good and well drawn, nice to look at and interact with. I loved the friendly feral cats. My favourite feature of the story, itself was all the incredible details of items created by or for the gods and goddesses and their specific qualities and gifts. These things can all be made up and I will still find them fantastic to read about and play with. I think all the detail in the story makes it better than most, as do the cats in the cat scenes. I also liked when the gods would come out in disguise pretending to be plain folk to work mischief. Mars is beautiful. The other deities need better polish at least. Game play is really good. I haven't finished playing but the challenge level is just right. It has kept me guessing at times but there seems to always be a clear logical connection between the unfinished and its answer. That is what makes a game good. Everything works smoothly. I would have liked a screen saver with some of the little cats walking around outside at night. Nice to have the morphing objects! These are perfect, too. I kind of like them to be worth looking at when their found.
I recommend this game!

Fantastic RPG with match 3 battles, custom nameable characters of various types in male and female. There are free add-ons to this game that make it twice as long with twice as much to choose from but, even if you cant find them, this game plays the same way, though never having to play out the same.Everything is about the life affecting choices you make when you play.
You choose your own destiny with a few possible successful endings, none of which mean your character can't keep playing. There are knights guilds to join, as well. You can play alone or against friends. You also get to choose, unless you make a mistake and lose their offer of friendship, which A I character friends you carry with you at any given time, after each is introduced to you, along the way. There are a variety of ways to make money and a lot of advancements to buy, as well as little objects. There are many different mini-games and exercises that advance the character or your kingdom. The game play starts out at a very low level but higher level characters have more exciting skills to show off and high stakes. The storyline is full of romance, adventure, and intrigue.
I recommend this game!

Game story is based on ancient world history. Before you play, you need to read through the instructions by pressing the info button and choosing from various golden owl icons. This way you understand what strategies to use. After you press play, you are given your first two characters, a prehistoric couple in love. Both the man and the woman are moveable pawns on the board, so it could actually work as a cooperative game for some creative couples, emphasis on cooperative and some. One quarter of an incomplete wheel is shown at a time, the board, it rotates toward snapping crocodiles, one place, before the start of every turn. Pawns too close (for themselves) will refuse to move backwards and not make tokens. Pawns make tokens by moving toward the river to the game character closest behind them or work with anyone on the same square if no one is closer to the river than them. . Crocodiles represent fear of mediocrity and failure, besides representing death of old age. Without talent tokens you cannot move forward. Moving forward to the right place brings you into contact with beads which are collected and traded for one of three kinds of sudden windfall of success for your dynastic history. A man or woman who lands on the square of a spouse who loves them (or an ally) will advance to not only the next space that matches the token spent but the space that matches after it also, and can collect beads from both squares. It is well worth it to marry someone you love or someone who loves you. Children can be tried for when you move up to a spouses square and can happen accidentally when you attempt to make tokens (moving backwards into their square). Heirs must be educated to make tokens well when their time comes.Too many children will diffuse the heirs inheritance of tokens, everything you die with is handed over square or divided amongst all educated children. They also cost more to educate, for which you must feed them one token per grade point desired in any given field, one only per turn, per child you want educated. Children will make tokens to make up for this, the higher their grade the likelier they succeed and they give the same token type they have the highest grade in most often. The only problem with this is the potential for sibling rivalry that can cause financial disruption when the heir is grown, thievery and doctors bills. Siblings can be helpful when they are treated exactly the same each turn as the heir. This is too expensive to do with a large family. Besides the board game, choices will come up and stories about the pawn or the children. People in the highest caste will have government decisions to make, as well. I played this game after installing it, from 1o pm to 83o am without noticing the time go past. The only thing I don't like is that the game ends (temporarily) at the age of migration and you need to go to the makers website for part two which works with your saved game. No, I also didn't like the jump from one age to the next which leaves out a hundred or so generations and starts up again with a game chosen, unknown descendant. Three, I would have liked to name the children. I did really like the snapping crocodiles and other imagery. The babymaking pictures seem really provocative to me. Maybe, that's just me. I also notice the woman sometimes looks like mother goose would with a bigger beak when your eyes start to go. That's something she's doing with her arm, if you run into it, too. Not all of the women do this.
I recommend this game!
