Thanks. This is a beautiful game, lovely to look at everywhere, with a wonderful fantasy detective tale, neat creative hidden object searches and easy but enjoyable mini-games and puzzles. I am always grateful when hint recharges quickly if you want it to and was glad the game was logical enough to be easy enough to follow.
I loved the cat more than anything. He's cute and acts just like a kitten.
So, standard edition was the daily deal today or I would have missed this game. I got the collectors edition over the extras. I love them so far. I do not care much for any of the savable music but I really like the main theme. It is the main theme that matters.
I recommend this game!

As soon as I saw inside both the standard game and the collectors edition, neither of which I would have looked into had it not been the daily deal, I knew I had to have one. The graphics are pretty and entertaining. The story is compelling and the game play is pleasantly logical, not difficult to follow. I enjoyed the creativity that went into the hidden object searches, especially look behind objects for matching symbols though I would have liked more things to look behind and maybe three of a kind to find after. I did try out the "match three game" just to seeit, and was happily surprized, a different kind of "match three" with a nice look. Graphics matter. I really like the watch game, as well, even though it is easy, I am a sucker for sparkly things. I loved the kitty, what a charmer. Besides, I am still happy he was willing to perform more than one activity for a single fish. I also can't think of words to say how (thankful?) honoured I am to have fertilized an in game flower seed with water that was swished in by one of those slimy mineral-skinned picture-fish.(once you know them from real life) I loved what I could see of the extras so much that, while I complain that I didn't get to weigh and measure the game dots, nice animals, catch those snowflakes, the collectors edition was a must have for me, even today, when for three dollars more, I could have gotten them both. What would I have done with two?
I recommend this game!

I love this style of game. I love the real people acting in a cartoon reality. I love the photographic objects. So far the story is funny and good.
I haven't played very far into it. I've played two hidden object searches, but no mini games, one excellent puzzle. I like challenging mini games and plenty. There may be more further on. Either way, this is a really neat game.
The one thing I did not like most about it, and it did prevent me from buying this collectors edition, if that is my loss, oh well, is that I cannot even see what I would have been getting, if I did purchase this game, which I will not, from previewing the demo and bonus content, most of which I could not access or could not tell if it had any photogenic quality because of its size and low pixelation. For all I know, it doesn't get better!
However, I did enjoy the artwork inside the game and it is on sale, the standard version is, as game of the week, so I got that because I don't have to guess and can sure afford $3 when I know what I like.
I recommend this game!

I purchased this game immediately because I really, really loved the music and wallpapers, especially the house in claws and the house on stilts. The inside of the game is quality of the utmost to look at and a lot of fun, so far to play. I love the mood it gives me. The keys are nearly invisible. If I had better eyes, it may be that would be fun, so I get that, and I love the way you can go back for collectibles you missed, but I also want collectibles that are just exciting to look at, more than figurines, though I am finding those more fun, I think than I would if I had better eyesight, right now.
This game has all kinds of inspiring wild details in the story and images. I am really enjoying just playing it. I do wish there were more replayable mini-games, and I don't know which games these will be, but they look challenging and nice to look at. I can't imagine why anyone would limit play on those though. So I am not a jigsaw puzzle person, not a figurine excited person, and cannot see the keys at all, but I can't complain. The music is sensational. The artistry is fantasmagorical. The story is perfect. The game is a nice relaxing game to play with challenge in those minigames where it belongs.

I am finding the story to be refreshingly original, yet easy to follow, having just the right inter-dimensional sinister spiritual aspects, sometimes shallow, like something is called a “creature” that makes me think of something physical but in dreams symbols of spirit take on physical form and while there is a switch from greys to full colour, it all seems a bit more like dream than reality to me. I was in a low level car accident after all.
I like the way the sister is presented before we see her (but I think it would have been appropriate to call her already a husk at this point, after all how far gone is the custodian if he sometimes knows how far-gone he is? or rather if he can be saved by a jostling of the conscience.) I am enjoying the story. It could be even scarier, but is not boring.
The background music is kind of scary and cool. Besides that, the voice acting is excellent. Visuals are really as good as they should be. The characters display mixed complex emotions well visually. They look good in the wallpaper too, whereas ordinarily I dislike wallpaper based on characters. I wish the other wallpaper pictures were more exciting to me personally, but there is personable concept art and I don’t need wallpaper, anyway.
I am especially enjoying the overall visual tone and complexities. I love the theme and general ominous surroundings, especially the little details.
The hops were less beautiful than I like, I prefer crisper lines and flashier colours, but had their own look and were cleverly designed, though some clues were misleading to me. I liked that some hops were multilayered.
I noticed the two types of bubble game, the one to play when you don’t like finding objects and the other more original kind, the likes of which I have never seen before. Especially nice! I liked the appearance of the signs. I was also quite pleased by the first morph I found, with its high level of detail. There could be more of them. While the minigames are so far fantastic, some with increasing difficulty and quite challenging, others rather easy, just stimulating fun to run into. I am always happy to play timing and accuracy games within games and even more love the challenge of figuring out games like the arrows game, not to mention the increasing levels of difficulty, and would love even more of both. The portals added to the sliding puzzle at the end of chapter one was a nice surprize, too. I think this is an exceptional game. I love the look and feel. I really love the puzzles and mini-games, so creative, well made, and enjoyable to work out. Thankfully, many nice games are even re-playable.
I like not having too many things in the inventory at once, although there are also more condensed zones in the game. It is nice when everything is memorable and logical. I also liked getting to use my short term memory to work with a clue rather than lifting the paper to it. I have my own mind after all.
I want to finish the game, but since I have a few other things that need to get done, I can’t yet. I will say that beyond what I’ve played, I did look into the guide and it may be even better when I get to it, but I like what I see or I wouldn’t have gotten it. This is a worthy game. Thank-you. I think it works best with a good attitude, but it’s really one of the better games in my own book.
I recommend this game!

Reflections of Life is always a beautiful game filled with every color, clear and lovely realistic picture that make compelling and original fantasies come to life for me. Slipping Hope is another of these very well crafted games in bright radiant colours and a high level of detail in everything. The story is well told and well written. The voices are clear, melodic, and easy to listen to. The characters made sense.
The hops are perfect, with well defined objects that are neither overly easy to find, nor so difficult I lose my sense of fun and want to give up. The sheer beauty of the design makes up for the more well hidden objects being harder to find. I did find most objects really quickly, so far as I've played. This is the way I like my hops, so that they flow with the rest of the game, with just a hint of challenge. I am completely in love with the in-hop morphing objects. These are exactly perfect. I like to leave them flickering while I search for other objects.
The puzzles have been some of my favourite kinds, very creatively made. I enjoy the twisting and turning, and especially resizing objects. I love a high variety of challenging mini-games and intricate puzzles with clear designs, like the ones I have found in the demo. I am also fond of handheld lenses and enjoyed that first book search.
The hidden bats are hard for me to find but not impossible and very clear once I know what I am looking at. What is more, there is in extras a page of empty, and then not, little bat silhouettes from which bats can be sought throughout the game by locating unfound bats and jumping you back.
I barely noticed the coins but they are written on. I really quite like the "statuettes" that you can buy with them.
I like the owl. It is not silly looking or ugly and it doesn't talk or demand my attention. It just flies up to high things and takes them down. It adds to the visual experience without exacting energy. Plus, I loved wearing the brightly painted leather glove he perched on.
The wallpapers were better than ordinary, very beautiful, unusual pictures, and a great variety of types of pictures for differing tastes. I like the one filled with stairs the best, and the icons and the mythical beasts. And I don't ordinarily like character portraits, but I like these, they are so well drawn, and creative and painted. I always like a cat.
I will definitely purchase the collectors edition of this game.
I recommend this game!

This Amazing Gift is an impossible challenge disguised as a (not too obviously) Christmas themed Match 3 Game, which can be enjoyed in timed mode or relaxed mode at any time of the year. The match 3 panels are delightful to look at and surrounded by lavish gifts and ribbons scissors jewels buttons and bows. So far, they have been relatively easy. I admit I have only played a dozen, having gotten lost in the true beauty of this "game" which is the 50 "puzzles" that one can choose to try to solve one at a time or not. There is no walk through guide for the puzzles, no spelled out solution, just basic instructions and information (Clear the board by making matches of three or more). Either you solve them yourself, or you don't. My only complaints are that you have to solve the first to have access to the second, the second to have access to the third and so on, which means I may be trapped at puzzle 21 forever, which is where I have been for a long while now, and that once you have completely solved a puzzle, you no longer have access to that puzzle, getting sent to the next puzzle up, instead, and these get more and more challenging. I just wish I had access to all of them at once and could choose which one I wanted to work on at any given time, in order to actually figure out how they work and achieve some sort of mastery that I can actually hold on to, in between each separate puzzle, on into the rest of my life. How quickly they disappear and I never really know how well, or whether or not, I knew what I was doing when I did it. I am pretty sure I have never seen puzzle 22, though I have climbed from one to 21, a few times, now.
I recommend this game!

I love that every aspect of Christmas culture is included in the story. Reality and fantasy are blended with high values and family playability. The music is perfect for setting a cheerful festive mood. I love the sound effects, like with the finding of golden deer. I like more than one type of item list in searches. This is perfect for dividing responsibilities amongst two or three people for non-competitive play. The puzzles are beautiful, novel, relaxing, and engaging. I do find some things harder to find than others. For instance, I did not enjoy looking for the mouse, which wasn't especially cute for one. My favourite, so far has been the page of carrots in the reindeer shed, but they all have been quite neat. I like my tiny bibles and crosses.
The one thing I miss, that I haven't seen for a very long time, is the fastly flashing image hidden somewhere behind the screen that, once found, and clicked on, stops in either a plus points decal with a "yea!" or other triumphant cheer or a minus points decal with a scream or "oh-no" or "awww..."
I can't stand that that's no longer included in these games, (not even in the Halloween version) because that is what got me hooked on this series in the first place, not that there isn't a lot more than that in the games to appreciate, but what happened to that extra thrill that was so much more fun than anything else is? Can it be brought back? Or something similar attempted? Because I would love that.
I recommend this game!

I have so far only played the demo. I did play without checking the time and got cut off without getting to look at the extras which I usually do first, so I am wary of purchasing a collectors edition without seeing that, at least looking through the wallpaper selections. Also hidden pine-cones are not my thing and the morphing objects seem to be only in-HOP and didn't overwhelm me. Still I really enjoyed the game.
Play as two characters, Mary and Aaron, choose which one you start with. They befriend another couple from the same era. I really like those outfits and hairstyles from 35-50 years ago. Everyone looked so sinister and strange, I didn't know I could trust my own character. Voice-over acting is smooth and easy to listen to. Train sound effects added to the ambiance unobtrusively.
The intro was easy. It had an easy fun feel. Then everything got interesting.
The hallway itself had a seeming v-shape, but I suspect it is supposed to be straight. What I liked about it was that it added the kind of illusory complexity to walking back and forth on the train that can seem like maintaining balance on a moving vehicle, if one bothers to suspend disbelief.
Even though every door and panel on the train was locked, we expect that. That's the usual hunt for unwritten methods to open them, keys, and lock picking puzzles, new rooms and hiding places. There were also more novel searches like wooden sillouettes for an unusual engraving that dresses the hallway and a slightly challenging (in every other way) bathroom with an emoji operated bathroom sink, a wooden toilet with problematic pipes (or is that just the train) and a very wasted wastepaper basket. Bathrooms are so useful when everything works well.
There were a lot of fun multi-layered and creatively (but mildly) challenging puzzle/minigames. I really enjoyed handling the old-fashioned gravity maze. I have never bothered to memorize the rules. I also liked the easy pieces of paper puzzles and rotating wires puzzle.
The Hops were few, quick, and colorful. One had words missing some of there letters as a clue. That is a great idea and it made it that much more fun.
For me, the story was the best part. It is usually the most important aspect. It is well told with lots of twists and intrigue (for early in the game at least).
I recommend this game!

It was a hard to survive but creative and fun, weird, creepy, banal, vulgar sometimes, story. I am not interested in flocks of pigeons getting diarrhea over my characters head, so no star sticker to the intro, but someone else might like it a lot. The rest of the story is not as bad, sometimes gory, and cynical, but interesting, a medieval fairy tale. The graphics are not really top of the line beautiful but they are creative and usable. And, well, the keys look nice. The doorways look nice.
The game play is easy at first and really different. I enjoyed it before it became too much of a challenge. The monsters eventually have too much magical reach for me. I'd like my life to be less threatened less often.
It is like a 2-dimensional snow cube. (This is the part I like). You wake up somewhere in the middle of it, a different snow cube (square) every level, or it may be several per level. There is a key somewhere, one or more, and a doorway, one or more. You must travel to the key, then to the doorway,by turning the square maze clockwise or counterclockwise which decides which side of the snow cube is down & causes colored bricks to slide down to replace any sets of same colored bricks when they have fallen together and fill in holes caused by killing or collecting. So you create your own maze and control the possible paths to your destinations within the maze.
Their is a lot of killing in it. Even if you don't kill the monsters, from above for the boy, from below for the girl, monsters can kill you. Changing the maze changes their level of access to you, the cubes you must avoid are color coded if math is not your thing or too many types of monsters hard to keep track of, but I just don't like the stress of trying to survive! Also, I hate that the pet chicken is really only for killing. The text says "chickens make great pets!" but they can't be collected, gaining access to them kills them. Stupid idea.
