I enjoyed playing this game very much. The story moves along rather quickly with a significant amount of hints and cutscenes throughout. Some scenes were surprising and fun (for example, the biker bar and the slouching biker), and objects were well hidden. If I have any complaint at all it is that a few areas in some scenes are rather dark and objects are thus difficult to find. This doesn't happen often though, and it wouldn't make me change my mind about what a great game this is.
I am off to by Cruel Games: Red Riding Hood! It's a keeper!
I recommend this game!

I loved the book and the movie; the game not so much. The game's story moves along at such a creeping rate that sleepiness descends.
Transitions between scenes are slow, and the image of a book appears in each transition, with pages turning rapidly. I wish the scene transitions were as rapid as the turning pages. :( Seeing the book once is fine. Seeing the book every other minute is annoying.
I'd say it's probably always a bad choice to model a game after such a beloved classic. And I wish the game were better but ... All I can tell you is, I now need a nap. zzzzzz.
I don't recommend this game.

I don't find running in circles "fun." I don't think making very little to no progress in a game "fun." And that is the problem I had with both Syberia and now Syberia 2. Both games are frustrating and disappointing.
The graphics are excellent, and the game's potential is great. But navigation is awkward, and I found that simply getting out of the train station in the very first scene was not worth all the angst and simply wasted a huge chunk of time. Go this way, go that way, go this way again ... and NOTHING moves you forward in the game.
Without progress, one throws up one's hands, quit, and move on. Sorry, but for a game with such beauty and potential, Syberia 2 seriously disappoints, just as did the original Syberia.
I don't recommend this game.

I.LOVE.this.game. Fascinating! It has a rather unique storyline, is visually pleasing, moves at a good pace, contains many hidden objects that must be combined in order to be "found," and is designed and developed in a way that does not fit into the usual-every-day-dull-and-boring HOGs. Someone finally thought outside the box. Bravo!
Great game! I hope you all will try it and purchase it. I think it'll be a while until we see something as captivating as Infected: The Twin Vaccine Collector’s Edition. I hope it starts a trend!
I recommend this game!

I loved this game. It's not my usual style game (I'm an HOG type) but this was fast, furious, and fun, and it definitely kept my attention.
Try it!

I'm not sure why everyone is so down on this match 3 game. It was OK. Not a love fest, but, still, OK. ... But then again, aren't ALL match 3 games pretty much just OK? Snoresville.
There's not a lot of strategy, thinking, plotting, planning, scrutinizing required here. One definite positive: You can contemplate the condition of the world and how to set it right as you play. OK?
I recommend this game!

One should be able to search and find HOs with a scene of a hidden object game. The objects should be clearly defined. Yet in this game, HOs are often merely shadows on a wall, or knots within knotty pine, or blurs, spots, blemishes. In one scene, I could not find a plastic shark and somewhat desperately left my cursor on a specific spot in the scene and clicked on the hint button. An area in the scene directly under my cursor lit up, yet I had not spotted the object--it was THAT difficult to find!
It's all sort of silly. The point of an HOG is you're supposed to be able to track down hidden objects. If you can't find them, what fun is there in playing?
What a shame. When I saw the title and read the review I thought "This is a game for me!" But no. It disappoints to the hilt.
I don't recommend this game.

It's not my practice to give 1-star reviews, since I always feel that developers have put in a whole lot of development time in trying to please us, the public, with their product. But you know what? I don't see how any attention to detail was given in the development of this game--at all. That's a pretty bad review from someone who ran a good-sized development team for ten years and who favors developers.
In the very first scene, where graphics were unclear, I searched for the letter A (one of the hidden objects) for several minutes (!) before I found it in a location that was pitch black on my monitor. I found the letter A by clicking blindly until I accidentally located it. Ridiculous. And the Help function was useless. Let's not even waste time talking about it.
The fact is I hated this game. I now have a raging headache and need to go punch pillows. (Well, not really; but close!) Yep that's exactly what games are supposed to do, irritate and annoy users--er, I think not.
I stopped playing after 10 minutes and even that was way too long to give the developers the benefit of the doubt. They need to learn how to entertain, not irk; how to make a game fun and give players the sense that they are making progress, not failing to move forward. Such a shame the direction this game took ...
I don't recommend this game.

Kingdom Chronicles is a great change of pace from the hidden-object or time-management games that I play on a regular basis. (Yes, I know, it's not even the same category. I get it. I get it.) This is something new for me!
A great game to pass the time on the beach this holiday weekend and beyond.
I recommend this game!

I like this game. It is very nicely put together. The puzzles are easy, and hidden object games contain items that require OTHER items to complete. Finding the hidden objects is rather easy, so if you're looking for great challenge, go elsewhere.
My complaint is, if you click the hint button, a dotted, swirly line appears and travels across the screen, but takes what seems like forever to complete and settle on an object--and that just wastes time.
I liked this game at $13.99. I like it better at the SE rate of $6.99. I'm in. Sign me up.
I recommend this game!
