First off, let me say I am a MCF fan. I've played all the games, and eagerly look forward to the next installment every year. This year was no exception.
And while this one is certainly better than last year's offering, it does have issues with object usage, story line holes, and some fairly cheesy dialog.
That being said, the puzzles were challenging enough to warrant the 4 stars I'm giving this game.
The music, artwork, and overall ambiance of the game are fine, but not overly spectacular, yet better than most games we have been given as of late.
Overall, I would say it's a fine game, and will entertain amply, but you should wait for a sale or the standard version.
This is a mystery set in 1920's Paris amidst writers, film makers, singers and other artists (all members of an exclusive club) who find themselves in the middle of a murder mystery.
What's not to love about that?
I won't go into the fine details of the game's mechanics, but I will tell you it has great puzzles, good voice acting, a great story line, and keeps you engaged and wanting for more.
Devs, take note: MAKE MORE LIKE THIS!!! PLEASE!!
Try it, you'll like it. Buy it, and you'll be hooked, line and sinker.
Let's all support the devs who will give us games like this, instead of the usual mediocre stuff we've been getting as of late.

It's an odd re-telling of a classic, but fun and worth the price of admission.
Others have gone to great lengths to describe the inner workings of the game, so I won't.
What I will do is tell you this new version of Oz is a bit odd, but fun nonetheless. The puzzles are challenging-ish but not impossible. The characters are not overly developed, but then again, they need not be, really. The important thing is Toto is by your side and will help you throughout the game. What more could you ask for?
If you are looking for a fun, interesting way to pass the weekend, look no further. A solid four stars from me.
Let me start by saying I am a HUGE fan of the MCF franchise. When I saw a new one available, I shouted for joy "Time to get my game on!" And then I played it.
Alas, Poor story line (well awful, actually), with ill-advised gameplay and non-sensical actions make this one pass. About the only redeeming quality was the puzzles, which were challenging but not impossible.
After a while, I was actually rooting for the bad guy to win because the "good guys" just got to be too aggravating.
I'd advise a "no play" alert to most of you. For those few brave souls willing to give it a try, I'd advise caution and a healthy dose of skepticism.
Overall a fantastic game filled with challenging but fun puzzles, following an excellent story line and well rounded with great voice overs and graphics/sound. The devs have proven time and again that they make a great product for a great price. Keep 'em coming, and I'll keep on buyin'! Well done!
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT GAME with a fitting Jazz soundtrack!

Loved, loved, loved this game. Beautiful graphics, wonderful soundtrack, and creative HO scenes. Not overly challenging, but I certainly enjoyed the ambiance and taking my time geeking over the extras offered.
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, big fish games! Loved the game, and couldn't belive you got Lea Thompson to play a psychic! I've read all the other reviews, and I honestly don't know why everyone is dissing this game. I have not enjoyed a game so much since the very first MCF. If only all games could be this much fun! Game play was a nice balance between being too easy and too hard. Loved the interaction with Lea Thomspon, of course. All the actors did a great job. The only thing i didn't like were the Cassandra trances where you had to fit the uncooperative blocks together. To me, this slowed down the game play, but it is a very minor detail in an otherwise great, enjoyable game.
