This is a very different Rescue Team from past versions. They have entirely reworked how you play and what you play with. In my humble opinion, they have raised the bar significantly. However, it did take me a few levels to get the feel of it and be comfortable with all the changes.
If you are a person who dislikes change in any way, this game will not be for you. If you are willing to give it a try, more than likely you will be pleased with the experience.
That being said, I'm glad I gave it a chance. It was fun to play, challenging but not impossible, and I've replayed it again and again, and still found new ways to appreciate all the efforts that went into making the game.
While it's not the Rescue Team of yesteryear, it is fun to play and can help you relax at the end of a long day. What more can you ask for in a game?
SPOILER ALERT: The secret is the game crashes, leaving you in the wind.

Got past the first couple of scenes, then the game crashes. Deleted and installed. Game immediately crashes upon start-up. Haven't encountered this problem with a game in quite a while. And since it's Grandma games (whose games I normally enjoy very much), this makes for extra disappointment. I might try again if there is a patch, but honestly this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. FIX IT, PLEASE!

This game has so many great things going for it. Excellent puzzles, great story, interesting characters. Most of all, there is a wonderful surprise at the very beginning. I immediately thought "What took devs so long to implement this! It's genius!" This game has something for everyone. It can be tough, it can be simple, it can be whatever you want it to be. Highly recommended to anyone who likes options in their games and those who crave a worthwhile HOG loaded with extras.
Old school point and click fans rejoice! This game feels like all those old adventure point and click games back in the day -- when YOU had to do the work to earn the answers, and not have everything spoon fed to you. If you like figuring things out for yourself, solving the problems on your own, and a fun story, this game is for you!
You don't have to hunt for 20 items to end up with the item you need. You don't have a character pushing you to go where you don't want to go. You don't have to go forward 5 scenes to find only one item that you have to take back to the original scene in order to use it.
You do have to use your brain, take your time, enjoy the scenes, and exercise patience. I promise it will be worth the time and energy invested. (insert happy dance here)
I wish with all my heart developers would take note and make many more like this one! Loved every minute of it. Well done!

Pretty much the same as all the other Wonderland games. Nothing new or original, really. The Santa in outer space was a bit much (somehow he can breathe and not float off in space in zero gravity?!?!) Was it full of Christmas? yes. Was it fun? Not really. If you are looking for a game chock full of Christmas, enjoy. If you are looking for a fun game chock full of Christmas, keep looking.

Fans of the series should be happy we have another MCF for the holidays. I liked this one better than some of the other recent offerings, if for no other reason than we finally get a break from the Ravenhurst storyline that's been done to death.
It was enjoyable to play, but it wasn't great. Many of the puzzles were too easy, and I've come to expect more of a challenge from MCF puzzles.
I'd recommend to anyone who likes a good game. I don't recommend to a die-hard MCF fan who will undoubtedly be disappointed by the easy puzzles and new storyline.
Compared to many of the other offerings out there, I'd say you'll enjoy this one more.

I have always been a big fan of Five-BN. They know what the fans love, and what keeps them coming back for more. As a player, I love a game that invests in character development, storyline, challenge, and the occasional nod to a previous game. These devs consistently deliver on the quality and quantity. I'm always as excited as a kid on Christmas when they drop a new game - and now that I'm on lockdown like so many others, I actually have the time to play and enjoy with few interruptions - YAY! I may survive 2020 yet!

If you are a fan of the original (1st) MCF game, have played all the MCF games, and enjoy challenging puzzles, this game is for you. And try not to be too giddy while playing, as that will not help you to beat the relentless tick-tock of the clock. (CURSE THAT TIMER!)
If you do not like the MCF series, don't enjoy timed games, or don't enjoy deliciously challenging puzzles, then don't play this game.
It really is that simple.
I loved having a second chance to revisit old characters and scenes from the previous games. So thank you for that, devs.
Nostalgia is good, provided that it is given in small doses and does not interfere with the grand scheme of things. Luckily, this game accomplishes that.
I do have two small disikes (hence the 4 star rating). (1) The game seems short for a CE. I would have thought you'd get some extra game time if you managed to complete the morphing and other collectables, but no. That was a disappointment. And (2) I HATED THAT TIMER! There were so many thngs to explore in each scene, but could not because of all the rushing that had to be done. I would have much preferred to take my time and really enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere of each scene. I didn't like the timer on the first game, and didn't like the timer on this game. Devs, please take note: TIMER: BAD! RELAXED SETTING: GOOD!
All in all an enjoyable blast into the past.
Try it for yourself and see if you are team pro-nostalgia or team leave-it-to-collect-dust.

The gameplay was fun, puzzles were satisfying, and the storyline was better than most of the games offered now on BFG.
Of course, every time I heard the main character speak, I kept expecting Nancy Drew to pop up in the background (as both characters were voiced by the same woman).
Overall, an absolute pleasure to play. Just wish more games had this level of quality. Sadly, they are fewer and far between these days.
