Follow orphan Eva on a trip to mystical Prague. Will she find out about her Royal origins, find real love, and save the world from a monster? It’s all up to you.
Yeah, it's different than other HIdden Object games, and the puzzles are easy to solve, in my opinion. And if it's too difficult, the skip button charges pretty fast.
The hint button is very helpful, and the journal is a good help too. I wasn't too fond of the voices though. I either read it myself or skipped it.
The game is kind of adventure-y too. But I enjoyed that. The story was nice too.
There were a few scary moments, in my opinion, which made me enjoy the game a lot more. Having to find the missing contestants is difficult when you have a 'bad guy' trying to make sure you lose.
The hint and the map are great, as are the graphics. I love the story behind the game too. I only hate that it ended the way it did and I hope that means we're going to have a sequel.
A nice mix of story and game, the Dark Parable is, without a doubt, one of the Best Game of 2011. There's magic, stories, HOS, drama and surprise, etc. It has a good mix.
You have been asked to find a large group of missing children. During the investigation, you learn what happened and the truth of many things. I'm not going to spoil it for any of you, but this is a great game that you should play if you're interested in this genre. Well worth the price.
If you're wanting to play a spooky game with some drama or scares, this is for you. It had me jumping in my seat a few times. I really enjoyed this game.
In the game, you're called in to find 4 missing people. And as you continue the game, you collect VHS tapes that show you what happened to the 4, from the start until you came in. It helps explain a few things, and it adds to the scare factor a bit.
The HOS are great. The graphics are wonderful and I love the use of live footage as well. The story is amazing and spooky.
I recommend this game!

Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Uncover the dark legacy hidden within a Romanian castle to save your friend from an evil spirit!
I'll admit, the whole 'the vampire took my friend' idea is getting old. But from what I saw in the demo, the creators have made it rather interesting.
There is a lack of voice overs, so you're stuck reading the lines...it's a very quiet game, save for the small bits of music and sound effects. The artwork is decent. The hint button tells you what to do next.
I'm undecided on if I want to purchase the game or not. It wasn't a really exciting game and it was boring to me, but then I did enjoy a few things. But I encourage you to try the demo first! It could save your money!
The first game in the series...and it's amazing! You awaken in an underwater temple with no memories...you get a friendly guide and get to explore beautiful locations.
The artwork is incredible! The voice overs are wonderfully done. The story is amazing. There are some twists that make this game even more fun to play.
You're grandfather once was in charge of the Nightingale Theater. He was blamed for the fire that burned that occured 40 years ago that ended up ruining and taking lives. You run into some interesting characters, even a ghost! You also discover you have a 'special gift'.
I enjoyed this game! My only complaints are: The moving around we had to do...had to run all over the theater several times. And then the identity of the mastermind...I thought it was too easy figuring out who was really responsible for the disaster 40 years ago.
The controls, graphics, characters, and voice overs are all great! The character bios are very useful.
You arrive in town, unable to leave, and discover a mystery. A spirit of a young woman begs you for your help in discovering what happened to her...something so evil that it cursed the city.
The voices over is wonderful, as are the graphics. I do have to complain about the puzzles/skip button though. Some of the puzzles were very hard for me to solve and the skip button takes a while before you can use it. I did get confused a few times, but the game, overall, was great.
