Animation/VOS - Good. Devs, please use vos for player as well.
IHOS - Fairly clear, small to larger objects, some well concealed, repeated scenes, lists and silhouettes.
Hint - Charges quickly, gives clues and directions.
Misclick Penalty - None
Journal - Records notes, story and characters.
Map - I believe it does transport but I used the hint button.
Puzzles/Mini-Games - Found some unusual that I actually enjoyed solving. Skip charges fast.
Loved my little robot helper! I named him Chris. :-D
There were collectibles such as hat patterns and, if I remember correctly, dolls. Since I'm not interested in these features, I tend to ignore them.
Great deal of back-tracking to each location. I prefer games that state Level Complete so I can move on but to me, this is a minor issue.
Bonus Chapter - More of the above so I didn't complete it.
If you enjoyed the previous PuppetShow games, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one as well. Give it a whirl and happy gaming!!! :-D

Would have given this game 5 stars if the animation had been better. The characters were realistically drawn but little body and mouth movement. Reading text dialogue is required.

VOS - For the one live actor only, not for player. Must read a great deal of dialogue.
IHOS - Usual fare of small to large objects, junk piles, grayish. A great deal of items to find outside of IHOS in every location so scene must be scanned carefully.
Misclick Penalty - None
Puzzles/Mini-Games - Varied levels of difficulty and some unusual. Fast skip.
Hint - Fast charge. Works outside of IHOS giving clues and directions. Shows handprints and directional arrows. Pick one. :-D
Map - Does not transport. Shows player's location only. Task list attached. New tasks added as you progress through game.

Review based on two hours casual gameplay because that's about all I could take. I never did play Grim Tales: The Bride but I did play and enjoy The Legacy and The Wishes. Pity this game didn't measure up to these.
Animation - None. Characters were realistically drawn and VOS were excellent. It's a shame they didn't move. VOS does not include player so there's a great deal of dialogue to read.

To my surprise, in addition to the strategy guide, there was also additional game play of hos and puzzles just like a CE. I chose not to play the additional games.
The storyline was a bit tedious to me. Preferred the previous Poe mysteries. Since it does have a good mix of hos and puzzles, this game will appeal to just about every player no matter what genre you prefer. Give it a whirl and enjoy.

Animation - Characters were realistically drawn but did not move except for a small Melissa (LOL), about one inch high, and you have to point and click to get her going to each area. VOS - Excellent.
IHOS - Combination of lists and circles in which items interacted in other areas. Some objects found in lists were put into circles in other locations. This seemed unusual to me but challenging. Difficult for me to explain. Items were small and well concealed.
Hint - Fast recharge.
Misclick Penalty - Cursor locks for a second. Annoying. Wish Devs would eliminate this feature.
