Vast games have not given me many games to smile about, and this was no exception. I played 40 minutes of the trial before declaring this a no-go.
HINT AND SKIP
- Hint takes approx 1 minute to recharge.
- Skip takes approx 1 minute to recharge.
FEATURES
- There is a diary to keep track of your progress. The diary also contains Angie's sketchbook, which documents her story.
- While surfing through the diary, I also found a tab for achievements. There is nothing here that says what the achievements are or how to collect them, it simply says there are 15 achievements.
- A strategy guide is also featured, which I found very useful. If I was having a bit of trouble on the puzzles, or figuring out what to do next, opening this would help me a lot.
HOS & PUZZLES
- both were a bit challenging for me, but the HOS were easier.
- HOS included extra step objects (highlighted in green#. The other objects were challenging to find. There was an even amount of HOS; not too many or too little.
- The puzzles in my opinion were way too hard. I couldn't complete them. Skipped every one. Instructions were complex for the ship puzzle especially.
- Based on what I've seen, there are more HOS than puzzles.
GRAPHICS/VOICE-OVERS
- Graphics are pretty good. They are modern, nothing is un--clear.
- Voices are your typical American accents, and are done well. They are not over-done, like some games I've played #notably, Web of Deceit: Black Widow), and seem to match the game well.
STORYLINE
-The storyline is your typical one; You are investigating your friend/daughter's disappearance, and some mysterious being is trying to stop you. I've seen it many times before, and this one was average, not too good and not too bad. There was one bit of the story that was different though; a man is able to predict the future in his paintings.
OTHER NOTES
- Gameplay at times was slow and glitchy. Many breif pauses occured, as if the game was not running properly. It may be my computer, or the game itself, I do not know.
Backtracking is minimal, but noticable. At one stage I had to backtrack right to the first scene.
I don't know what it is with games this year, but none are pleasing me. This one is certainly no acception. I would not recommend this game; it started off boring and did not get much better.
I don't recommend this game.

This game started off well, but something in the game just got me SO angry that I quit. It's a shame really, because this is quite a good game
This review is based on 33 minutes of the 1 hour free trial.
HOS & Puzzles
- Hos are great. If you don't want to do the junkpile scene, you can switch to a minigame, which I also found to be quite enjoyable.
- Depending on what puzzles you talk about, there were some good and bad ones. For example, the fuse one (the first one you run in to# was really annoying and I had to skip it. The crystal puzzle however, was a different story. This was easy for me and I enjoyed it.
HINT AND SKIP
- The hint took #approx# 18 sec to recharge.
- The skip took #approx# 50 sec to recharge.
- The hint was very useful untill you got the map. If you needed to be in a different location, instead of telling you, it just directed you to the map. This is what got me really angry, and is the main reason why this game fails. I found this to be time consuming.
FEATURES
- A diary was used to keep note of everything you did in the game.
- There is a time machine which acts like a map that you acquire early in to the game. I really hated this map, because
#a# the hint directed you to it.
#b# the map would tell you there were tasks that needed to be completed, but sometimes you didnt need to be there. I would need to use a hint to tell me WHERE I needed to go on the map.
- Strategy guide is included, and my advice would be to use it over the hint. The startegy guide indicates there are 7 chapters #including bonus#
GRAPHICS & VOICE-OVERS
- As usual, the graphics are stunning. Artwork and animations are fantastic. Really felt like a 2013 game.
- Voice-overs are also good, a mixture of British & American accents #mostly british). the voice-artists have voiced the characters really well.
STORYLINE
The storyline is kind of a medieval legends/sci-fi one set in 1796. The storyline looked to be very promising and I would have liked to have continued on, had it not been for the ridiculous map.
So in conclusion, Time Mysteries: The Final Enigma's content was great, but the game really failed to deliver. I can't even recommend the SE.
I don't recommend this game.

I walked past this game in the store today and thought it sounded good, but my insticts told me to trial it first. I did, and now I will be heading back to purchase this game. I really enjoyed it.
Good Parts:
Storyline is good. Set in Jack the Ripper times, and goes through a woman's visions of a murder that actually happened. Really looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
Great HOS. Like another reviewer said, you go back to the scenes, but who cares? The scenes are a great challenge, but are not too hard.
Hint and skip recharge fast.
Great voice-overs.
Puzzles were much easier than most games.
Great graphics. Although a couple of scenes were blurred (which is part of the game), the rest of the scenes were very clear, and the game has been animated well.
OK Parts:
There was a little bit of backtracking in the game.
Bad Parts:
I was constantly referring to the hint, and sometimes it didn't help at all.
I had to consult the online walkthrough of this game fairly often; sometimes I would find it very hard to figure out what to do next.
Those are the only bad things in the game, and the things stopping me from giving this a five. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and 100% reccomend it.
I recommend this game!

I have now played all 3 Hidden Object Shows. The first one was great, the second one was awful and the third one has had some drastic changes to it, but those changes are for the better!
Good Parts:
Excellent storyline! You arrive to your Grandpa's and find a message saying he has gone to participate in the Hidden Object Show. Getting the feeling something's wrong, you rush to the studio and find your grandpa and others locked in a cage! You must play the entire game and free the trapped "contestants"
This game had many great minigames including List, Shillouete, Find 10 and lots more. What was great was that these games varied in difficulty.
Much better voice-overs.
Great graphics. If you've played all 3 #like I have# you will notice a big difference in the graphics from game 1 and game 3.
Much better voice-overs. They #Gogii games# have scrapped the annoying 1950s host voice, and replaced it with something much better.
In each scene you had a 15 second "Bonus Round" in which you had to collect parts to make up chips as quickly as possible. These included skip chips, unlock chips #unlocked modes# and hint chips.
The hint is now a bar that refills instead of a set number of chips. The hint recharges very quickly and I found it helped me out a lot.
OK Parts:
At times I had to use the hint a lot.
Bad Parts:
Some games like Combine and Picture were a little too hard for my liking. I referred to the hint a lot during these games.
Because of the way the bonus round has been designed, it's a lot harder to get chips.
This is the best game of the series, and after playing the trial, I am really thinking about purchasing the full version, Download the trial- you won't be disappointed!
I recommend this game!

From what I gather, this is a new developer, and their first game has amazed me!
(based on demo)
Good Parts:
Amazing storyline- I had never heard of the Sleepy Hollow legend prior to this game. Set in 1799, you must uncover the person behind a series of brutal killings, in which all of the victims are beheaded!
Great HOS, very challenging and 2 types. Some had clues with words, others with pictures. Some word clue HOS had extra step objects. I preferred to play the picture clue HOS.
Great graphics, everything was clear and modern.
Great voice-overs.
Achievements.
Hint/skip recharge speed is good.
Strategy guide is helpful.
Throughout the game you could collect horseshoes, which could be used to purchase "trophies" these included magnifyinh glasses, a rifle and a portrait.
Able to combine objects from your inventory.
OK Parts:
Sometimes in the game, I had trouble figuring out what to do next. I was constantly referring to hints and/or the strategy guide.
Bad Parts:
I didn't like the puzzles. Skipped all but one.
Despite the demo going through chapter 1 and a bit of chapter 2, the demo strategy guide only included the walkthrough for chapter 1, meaning the strategy guide was completely unavailable to me for the last 15-20 mins of the demo. #At the end of the demo I had 10 minutes remaining on my 1hr free trial#
This is. simply put, a brilliant game. I was happy to play the trial and may consider purchasing the full version. One thing- Due to pictures of headless people and the nature of the storyline, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone under 13 years of age.
I recommend this game!

When I started this, I was expecting another great game from ERS, but sadly, this was not the case.
(based on 40 minutes free trial)
Good Parts:
HOS are good. Include extra step objects. There was also the option to switch to Match 3 Mode, which I also enjoyed very much.
I didn't get the chance to get in to the storyline much, but from what I played, I thought it was good.
Great graphics as usual, intro looks real. Graphics are animated very well.
Great voice-overs.
OK Parts:
At first, I struggled to figure out what to do with the game, but once I got going, it was ok.
I liked a few of the puzzles, but others were either confusing or too challenging.
Bad Parts:
I originally started on Advanced mode, but the hint took too long to charge,(2 minutes) so I switched to Casual. Even on Casual, the hint and skip took 1 minute.
On casual mode, the hints are way too easy. On this mode, it's all hand-holding.
Game really needs a strategy guide.
Overall this was a bit of a disappointment. It was so not like many of the wonderful games this developer has produced, and believe me, there are many of them, and I can't see any reason to recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a whole new HOG, and I really enjoyed it!
Good Parts:
What I really loved about this game was that there were so many ways to find hidden objects. There was the classic junkpile and minigames.
I really enjoyed most of the minigames, they were great fun and some were very challenging, like Picture Pieces. My favourite game was Riddle.
The HOG were challenging. I was coming out with all kinds of naughty words playing them.
This game was such a delight to play. I enjoyed every bit of the 35 minutes I played.
You start off with 3 hint chips and in the scene you can find more. I really enjoyed this.
Skip chips were really useful for the games I did not want to play.
Pure game show feel.
OK Parts:
The game is a little repetitive, so it will be tough to stick it out unless you really enjoy it.
Bad Parts:
Host guy's voice can be really annoying.
Game is timed with no option of turning off.
Click penalty is -35 seconds, which is too much.
I am full of great things to say about this game. I really enjoyed it. It's one of those simple, no-fuss straight HOG, with no fancy storylines or adventures. My mum and I were completely addicted. Fully recommend it.
I recommend this game!

After the intro, I was really excited for this game, but after playing half an hour of the demo, I really was disappointed.
Good Parts:
The storyline was amazing. Set in 1800s, Grimm brothers storyline. Storyline has a few twists, and I really enjoyed it.
Great graphics. Modern and animated well.
Journal included.
OK Parts:
HOS. No interactive or extra step objects, and a little too challenging for my liking. Encountered a few too many in the 1/2 hour I played.
Fair bit of backtracking, but not too much.
I didn't mind the puzzles, but only encountered 2.
Bad Parts:
Hint/skip take too long to recharge.
No map is included.
For some parts of the game, I found it really hard to figure out what to do. I would say that a strategy guide is needed.
Tutorial is not really helpful.
So, after a great start, the game was pretty average. It's nothing to write home about, and it wasn't really enjoyable to me.
I don't recommend this game.

This game has been getting mainly positive reviews. After playing for myself, I did not like this game as much as the others, but I thought it was still alright.
(based on demo, casual)
Good Parts:
Storyline is good. It was a little boring at first, but there is a nice twist near the end of the demo.
HOS were good, contained "extra step objects" and were challenging.
You obtain a tape recorder partly through the game and can play film strips through it. This gave me extra insight in to the backstory.
Graphics were good, everything was clear.
At 30 seconds, the hint recharged at a good speed.
OK Parts:
A bit of going back and forth #back tracking#
Puzzles. I liked a few, but others I didn't.
Bad Parts:
Game has a map #which you have to find# but you cannot jump between locations.
If you use the hint and an arrow comes up, I found that the hint was unable to be used for a short period of time. This really annoyed me because I didn't have to wait in other games.
In one HOS, You have to use a torch #flashlight# to look around for the objects. This was an extra challenge that I did not enjoy because it was time-consuming.
So I must say that, while I still enjoyed the game, I believe it to be over-rated. It isn't as good as the reviews said, and I won't be purchasing, but I do recommend the trial.
I recommend this game!

Well, I had high hopes for this game after seeing the reviews, but I played the trial and I ws REALLY disappointed!
Good Parts:
Graphics. They were animated well, and everything was clear.
Journal is included.
Good voice-overs.
OK Parts:
Storyline. It was the same old thing, some girl gets attacked and you need to find out what happened. If you're going to use the same storyline, at least make it better!
Bad Parts:
Hint took forever to recharge.
Some things took longer than necessary. For example, when I was unscrewing the wrenches in the fountain, you had to click on all 4 bolts. I could go on and on with these examples.
HOS are WAY too easy. DIdn't take me long at all to complete. The objects were really easy to spot, and I didn't even have to look at the list, I just had to click around randomly and I would find an object.
When I found a puzzle, they were WAY too hard.
This game got great reviews, but it's not so great at all. Skip this and find something else.
I don't recommend this game.
