I KIND OF MISS THE MORPHING BOOSTERS THIS DEVELOPERS USUALLY OFFERS

Normally I am ecstatic whenever this particular developer releases a new Solitaire game. I have purchased every game they develop and I've yet to be disappointed. I still liked Detective Notes, but it just didn't thrill me because they opted to do away with those infamous morphing boosters, a feature I absolutely love! My custom cursor didn't budge unless I held down on the right mouse button so I had to disable the custom cursor, which wasn't an issue until I played the HO scene where I had to blindly find a zoom zone when the cursor didn't automatically change, then when I clicked the zoom zone, the custom cursor magically appeared again and I had to go back to the main menu to disable the cursor again. I also wasn't a fan of the card font graphics which was a gothic style font that made it difficult to figure out what some of the numbers actually were. I did enjoy the "detective" missing person, whodunitandwhy, theme because the story is quite interesting. ও
You can choose from 4 Card Graphic Styles and 2 Font Styles (a large font & a themed font) and you can choose to play as Mark or Lily as well as a Casual, or Advanced difficulty Mode. There are 11 Trophy Achievements, 8 Extra Stories (Character Bios) 10 Wallpapers, 200 Solitaire Levels, and 20 Hidden Object Scenes, available after completing 10 solitaire levels.
This is a Higher/Lower Solitaire Game and the goal is to earn all 3 Stars (levels can be replayed) You will earn 3-stars if all cards are removed, 2-stars if 1-2 cards remain, and 1-star if 3-4 cards remain, 0-stars if 4 or more cards remain. Combos start at 6 cards to increase the Index Multiplier Bar, and each level gives you 1 Undo.
As you progress, you will earn Jokers and number-specific Wildcards. A single click will add them to the pocket for later use, but the slot only allows for 4 cards so once full, the cards on the board will be played when clicked upon. Jokers & Wildcards can also be purchased in the Shop with the coins you earn, you can also purchase a deck card counter and upgrades to the Four Power-up Cards.
The Power-up or Booster Cards will help you as you progress and each card can be upgraded x2 by purchasing in the shop with the coins you earn.
*Clue Search Booster: changes the card in the deck to a useful card.
*Dead Eye removes any selected active card.
*Double Tap: randomly removes 2 cards from the board.
*Cover the Tracks: shuffles all cards on the board.

Obstacles Cards are added to the mix after a couple of levels such as Handcuffs that require uncovering and playing the Key Card, and Chained Cards that require the card to be played twice, once to remove the chain, a second time to remove the actual card. Normally, this developer adds morphing bonuses to the cards that give you extra cards, flips over face-down cards x2, or adds coins when the card is played. This feature is one of my favorite features in a solitaire game, it was a unique feature and the reason I fell in love with solitaire games by this developer!
I switched to the Casual Mode because I just couldn't get any cards that I needed but that didn't seem to matter, I would still click through 10 or so worthless deck cards before I'd get a card that was usable and by that time, I was running low on deck cards and I would lose the level. The Casual Mode was a little easier because you get more cards, but this isn't a cakewalk solitaire game and you will probably have to replay levels to get a perfect score! I actually don't mind this part, if you win every level easily the game can get boring after a few chapters.
The bottom line is that if you don't mind the fact that they don't have the morphing bonuses, this is a decent Solitaire game with a really good missing person, Detective-plot to solve, not to mention that you get to play a Hidden Object Scene to break up the monotony after a few solitaire hands. Join me at my new forum to talk about this game and so much more @ thewoodsforum.boards.net
I recommend this game!

Does anyone else picture these developers sitting in a basement drawing "themes" out of a hat to see which plot to base their next game off of? After 45 Fantasy Mosaic Penguin episodes, the developers must surely be running out of even the simplest of storylines by now! I was hoping the Alien-themed episode would feature the penguin family being abducted, never to be heard from again, but unfortunately, that didn't come to fruition.
The puzzles during the demo portion seem to be geared more towards the Zen scale than the Brain-alert scale, which is perfectly fine, I believe there's a need for both types depending on what type of day you are having. Once again, I guess I should say for the 45th time in six years, the Penguin family has a dilemma on their hands, er, flippers? Looks like Robbie got lost in an amusement park, do we have to search for him?
I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record here, but there's not a lot of change going on within this record-breaking series number. For a while, they were surprising us with an occasional new feature but now we are getting a Fantasy Mosaic game every 2 months but they are all the same now. Even I was beginning to wonder if it was possible to offer new features in a Mosaic game, but Daydream Mosaic and Detective Agency Mosaics prove that it can be done! Heck, at this point, I could simply go back to the beginning of the series and replay the games I've already purchased and it would be like playing a brand new series!
The only new features that have been added over the past 45 games, besides upgrading the color graphics, is a multi-color feature (added in game # 4) a Sun power-up (added on game #6) the addition of earning/deducting stars for using hints (on game # 15) two additional color bubbles offering 6 colors vs 4 (on game # 16) an Eye feature to view the background w/out the grid (on game # 18) an interactive garden feature (on game # 21) locked colors (on game # 27) different tile choices (on game # 28) an interactive workshop w/ mini-games (on game # 33) and Zen mode (on game # 34) 10 games later and not a single new feature OR story has been added, they still haven't figured out how to save your progress once you start a game, if you decide to exit before you complete the puzzle, you'll have to start all over, even new developers or developers new to this genre offer this feature so it can't be that diffucult to program?
The Zen Mode has returned for those who prefer to solve the griddlers without all the hand/flipper holding. In Zen Mode, the numbers aren't crossed off but Mistakes aren't counted against you either, because chances are, you'll have to edit some of the cells as you switch between colors. You can delete filled-in or crossed-off cells by right-clicking the cell in Zen Mode, and you'll know you have completed a particular color correctly because a checkmark will appear on the color bubble.
You can play in a Casual Mode which crosses off the cells one by one, or the Advanced Mode, which only crosses off the remaining cells once the entire row and column have been filled in. You will earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake, and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.
There are 20 locations, and each location has 5 Griddlers and an additional mini-game. You can choose from 7 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy, and styles. Locked Colors can be disabled in the Settings menu, otherwise, some of the colors are locked and unavailable until you uncover color-specific keys that are hidden beneath some of the filled-in cells The Eye feature allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the grid lines, and there is a reset icon that makes it much easier to restart the level if you make a mistake.
There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed-off cell. Sometimes it's easier to cross-off cells that can't possibly contain a filled-in cell, which will reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit, when you get stuck, you can switch colors and work back and forth until it's solved.
Some of the cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed, or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on, and some cells contain keys to unlock colors (unless you disable this feature in settings) There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice. FYI: I have opened my own forum! All game series lists and much more can be found at thewoodsforum.boards.net
I don't recommend this game.

This is a decent HOG and I would love to buy both games in the series but the glitches in both games are unbearable to deal with. The objects have been blended into the scenery better, they have added an Interactive Inventory Object and Zoom Zone to the HO scenes, and a dialog skip button for those who don't want to read a super-long novel after every scene or mini-game.
In the last game, several people complained about not being able to make it past the third HO scene because the 3rd all-seeing eye could not be clicked on, as well as issues with swapping tiles on mini-games. When I saw they had released a second game, I thought surely they have fixed these issues when so many people complained about the same glitches, and they did fix the glitch...sort of!?! They have added a Hint feature that grabs an item for you, to compensate for this glitch, and I didn't have any issues clicking on most of the objects in this SE version (some items have to be clicked on a certain point such as the bottom right or top left to be accepted) BUT...the mini-games were still unfinishable for me personally.
The problem is, I love mini-games and I hate having to skip them but that's what I ended up doing with all but 2 mini-games in the demo! The first puzzle requires you to click and drag broken plate fragments into place and I had to click on the pieces 15-20 times to get the game to recognize the click, but I was able to complete it on the CE version. In this SE version, I couldn't click on the last 4 pieces, they just weren't accepted no matter where I clicked on the pieces! The second puzzle was the same kind of puzzle involving mosaic glass pieces, and I was only able to grab 5 shards total, the other 10 or so pieces just wouldn't pick up no matter which ones I clicked on, I even tried doing it in a specific order to no avail, on both versions. The 3rd puzzle was a Square Tile Rotation, I was able to complete it but I would click on a tile 7-8 times before the piece would actually rotate in the CE version, and in the SE version I was able to finish the puzzle but I had to click on one specific corner for each rotation. The 4th puzzle was a Candy Match Identical Pairs game, I was able to grab 3 identical pairs, after that, none of the candy was clickable, therefore not removable and I had to skip that one as well on both versions. The 5th was a Square Tile Swap puzzle that would only swap a few tiles, they could only be swapped to a few specific spaces, places they clearly didn't go in on both versions. There was a saddle puzzle that required using a needle & thread or a cloth to polish, etc. but none of the objects would actually do anything when applied, on both versions. By the time I gave up on this puzzle I was so frustrated with the glitches that it was pointless to waste any more time on the demo.
Contrary to my complaints, I happen to love this developer! Boomzap created some of my top all-time favorite HOPA game series, Awakening, Botanica, A Dana Knightstone Novel, Emberwing, and my personal favorite, Otherworld, They also have great HOGs like Antique Road Trip, and a cute game called Frogs In Love.
There are only 15 Main Chapters and the CE version has 5 extra Chapters. Each Chapter has 3-4 locations to visit for an HO scene (most scenes are repeated) that has either Listed Item Finds, Riddle Description Finds, or Multiples of the Same Object Finds. Each Chapter also has at least 2 Mini-Game available, the CE version has 10 extra Mini-Games.
Did anyone else scratch their head and wonder what the heck dad was referring to when he said "it was better than pooping their shorts on the table" Did he mean they plopped their shorts on the table, did they poop on his table, did they poop their shorts and then throw the shorts on the table? Did I miss something, or misread something here? BTW: I have finally opened my own forum! Join us for game chats and so much more, including my series lists for each game at thewoodsforum.boards.net

I'm thoroughly enjoying this HOG (Hidden Object Game) the graphics are really good, the scenery is interesting, and there's a ton of different features and collectibles and fun facts for each scene location. Point8Games are the developers who brought us the Adventure Trip series (another awesome HOG)
There are 5 different Hidden Object Modes, Listed Items, Silhouetted Shapes, Missing Vowels, Riddle Descriptions, and Scrambled Letter. You can replay the scenes AND you can choose which mode you want to play or simply follow the default which gives you a different mode each time you replay the scene.
You will receive extra points when you find objects Quickly, and you will receive 14,000 points when you don't use the Hint and another 14,000 points for 100% Accuracy. You can play in an Easy Mode which gives you 15 second Hint recharges and no Misclick Penalties, a Medium Difficulty with a Misclick Penality, and a 35 second Hint Recharge, or a Hard Mode with a Misclick Penalty and a 60 second Hint Recharge.
The scenes will have either a Hidden Bear or a Hidden Flag that will be shown at the top and beforehand as a silhouetted shape, Some of the scenes have an 8-Ball as well (60 each) Finding all 60 Bears will Unlock the Unlimited Play, and collecting all 60 Flags will Unlock the Bonus Mini-Game section. The Diary holds all the Fun Facts about each location, and there is 19 Souvenir that is actually Achievements. Each scene has 14 Items to find and some of the scenes have Sparkle Zoom Zone areas that disappear once you find all the items. Items in Blue Text require an Interaction to complete such as dragging gazebo parts to fix the roof. The only feature I wasn't happy with was the Magnifying Glass which disappears every time you click on an object, and you have to click on it to use it again, which is kind of annoying.
After playing a few Hidden Object Scenes, you will play a various Mini-Game such as Spot the Difference, Mahjong, Match 3, Word Search, a Memory Card Game, or Sudoku.
You will visit familiar Vacation destinations throughout California, such as Santa Catalina Island, Death Valley, the Golden Gate, the Hearst Castle, Hollywood Boulevard, the Joshua Tree, Cable Cars, Lake Tahoe, the Lighthouse, Mammoth Mountain, the Monterey Aquarium, Napa Valley, the Observatory, the Palace of Fine Arts, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, the Cali Zoo, and Yosemite National Park.
The Collector's Edition version has 14 additional scene locations that are incorporated within the regular locations and are marked with a CE rosette. Come join us at my new forum at thewoodsforum.boards.net
I recommend this game!

SOS, we have an emergency distress signal coming from the Frostwind World that is emitting huge energy bursts and crazy Northern Light phenomena. The Order of the Seekers Council has asked Simon to assist Davona in a search and rescue mission, but what they discover is a strange and beautiful world where dragons freely roam!
Gadgets/Helper:
You will eventually become the proud parent of your very own baby Dragon which basically does what no Bic Lighter can't, well, actually the lighter can do just about everything the Dragon can do, and amazingly, he fits in the inventory bar better than a bic lighter?
Audio/Video Quality
No doubt Domini has beautiful graphics and they are well adept at subtle music cues that do exactly what they are supposed to do...go unnoticed yet set the pace. They are also really clever at placing several interactive "toys" for the player to fiddle with, turning lights on/off, making ropes untie or move, or animals scamper...but have you ever noticed that after the demo there's hardly anything you can interact with? $"gotcha" $
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only):
There are 15 Morphing Dragons/Butterflies (Morpho is a butterfly btw) 15 Collectible Constellations, and 15 Frozen Garden Items to thaw using the 70 Collectible Crystal Currency. You can opt to show/hide a collectibles tab on the inventory bar that will open a specific icon when there is a collectible available.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 11 Hidden Object Scenes +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available. The Match 3 Game would be amazing if they allowed you to make fast consecutive matches, it would be cool if they put a little effort into this aspect to make the boards get progressively more difficult, added more tiles, or something other than a square board with no obstacles??!! There are Interactive Listed Item Finds, Replacing items into the Scene, Silhouetted Shapes, Multiples of Item Finds, Items Related or Keywords in Sentence Finds, Matching Pair Finds, Swatches Finds, and Spot The Differences available.
Mini-Games:
There are 19 Mini-Games +10 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) Here are a few of my personal favorites:
1-Swap puzzle pieces to form a flower.
2-Slide Gears until they are all connected and running.
3-Place boards correctly without overlapping to build a bridge.
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
The Woodheart Kingdom becomes infested with dragons after a local resident's plans to keep unwanted inhabitants go awry.
The Order of Seekers has a firey time in this prequel and summons Astrid to help de-dragon the Kingdom in this typical Bonus Chapter which is chock full of unnecessary, repetitive tasks. There are 7 Hidden Object Scenes and 10 Mini-Games spanning over 10 new scene locations. You will search for the remaining 4 Constellations, and 3 Morphing Dragon-Butterflies, as well as 5 Crystals that allow you to purchase the final Frozen Garden Items.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
21 Wallpapers, 21 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 27 Movie Video Cutscenes, 38 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Dragons/Butterflies,15 Collectible Constellations 15 Frozen Garden Items, 70 Collectible Crystals (currency) a gazillion Missing Notes, 6 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. The Bermuda Triangle has been surrounded by mystery since the 1800s, ships and planes vanish into thin air with no logical explanation. After making your delivery you witness a strange purple lightning storm coming from the triangle, a completely avoidable situation until the pilot makes a rash decision to fly directly into the eye of the storm. Now the two of you are stranded on a mysterious island...and you're not alone!
I'm at a loss as to why everyone is complaining about this game? I never play the demos anymore, so I'm not sure where the demo ended and the actual game took off but this has a very interesting plot with lots of twists and turns. I don't recall this particular plot being done before? Everyone is always complaining about the same ole story yet when something new and original comes out they hate it? MGH did an outstanding job with this game, the scenery is beautiful, and they took advantage of unusual camera angles to make the gameplay a bit different, not to mention the fact that the HO's are really good, a feature that usually bores me to death lately. The game has 6 chapters and the CE bling is really good, I feel like I got my money's worth!
Morphing Objects/Collectibles (CE version only)
Each of the 26 Scenes, throughout the Main Game and Bonus Chapter, has a Morphing Object that is quite challenging to find in most of the scenes! Each scene also has a Collectible Triangle, (26) but I didn't have any issues finding these, even though they are constructed of different types of material, such as stone or wood. In true MHG fashion, they also have those infamous Morphing Objects within all 17 Hidden Object Scenes, and they are definitely not easy to spot! Any missed Hidden Object Scene Morphs can be picked up by replaying the HO's in the extra's menu, which also allows you to better your star or accuracy score. I'm giving MHG "mad" props on the morphs in this game, they were perfectly sized, not too big, not too small, they morph at a decent rate (although slowing the speed just a tad would make them even more challenging, and that's why they add morphs...to be an added challenge!)
Graphics & Sound:
The graphics are gorgeous! This is the kind of graphics I have been waiting for from MHG, they make me wish I were deserted on this tropical Island of Chibi. The sound effects were subtle, and because there were 10 different music soundtracks, you never hear repetitiveness, it gently ramps up during key moments and smoothly descends back down flawlessly, most of the time you don't notice the music loops because that's exactly what soundtracks are supposed to do. You'll hear the sounds of nature in the background of each scene, with chirping birds, crickets, rustling leaves in the wind, or moving water, it's peaceful, it's relaxing, and it fits in perfectly with the graphics theme of a tropical paradise.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 15 Hidden Object Scenes, +4 HOP's in the CE Bonus Chapter, along with several smaller Zoom Zone HO's where you are tasked with finding a handful of objects shown as silhouetted shapes. MHG's shined in the HO department, the HO scenes had a good variety of styles and the objects are really well-blended into the scenery. The locations of the Hidden Object Scenes were bright and colorful, and every single HO scene was in tune with the game's theme, not to mention the fact that some of the HO's were a puzzle-HOS hybrid! There are a lot of different variations such as Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pairs Finds, Interactive & Listed Item Finds, and Symbol Finds (MHG loves their symbols!) You'll be searching for colorful exotic fruits or flowers in one scene, and the next you may be trying to find objects on a stone bas-relief. You may have to Find and Replace objects within an old ship's logbook, find the colored version of flowers shown as colorless images, or find 12 Triangles cleverly blended into the scenery. One of my favorite scenes required you to find the matching stone block, as shown in the center. Each stone had an etched image of a tribal chief with subtle differences such as a feather headdress, earrings, beads, etc. Each of the HO scenes has a Morphing Object, and if you miss one, you can pick it up within the CE Extra's menu, where you can replay 17 of the HOS and earn achievements for time and accuracy. There are no alternative games available in lieu of HOP's.
Mini-Games:
There are 24 Mini-Games +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter, some of which can be played in an Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty mode. Although most of the games were rehashed puzzles from past games, most of them are enjoyable puzzles that can be solved within one or two attempts. Because MHG didn't add any new puzzles (and didn't put a lot of effort into the puzzles like they did the HOS)) I deducted a star from my rating...but honestly, I'm okay with this because the story is really interesting, and the HOS and graphics were top-notched!
Here are some examples of the games available:
1-Find the rope knot that matches the example shown one at a time.
2-Swap shards on the top & bottom of a door lock so they interlock when closed.
3-Place torn fragments to complete a blueprint.
4-Rotate the symbols, one at a time, so they are in the correct position when a mechanical arm picks them up and places them into their matching slot.
5-Place all of the fruit, of various sizes and shapes, into a wooden crate. Available in an easy, medium, or hard difficulty mode (not as easy as it sounds!)
6-Repeat the pattern of flashing arrows x4
7-Select triangles on several wooden signs from smallest to largest x4.
8-Drag & rotate the catapult to aim at a pile of dried leaves.
9-Select footprints when they are located directly on the log.

Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
Join up with Andrew Collin lV on a swashbuckling adventure through the black market on a mission to steal the Seal Keys and find his long-lost love, Julia. This is a semi-lengthy, but hilarious Bonus Chapter spanning over 7 scene locations, with an additional 4 Hidden Object Scenes and 6 Mini-Games. There are 4 Hidden Object Scene Morphs, 7 Scene Morphing Objects, and 7 Collectible Triangles remaining. After completing the Bonus Chapter, you'll also be able to access the Treasure Hunt game where you return to the scenes to find 26 Treasure Hunt objects. You can also access Chibi Islands and the unused features of the Gallery.
Collector's Edition Extra's:
12 Wallpapers, 6 Concept Art Pictures with a Before/After slider bar, 10 Character Bios, 10 Music Soundtracks, 11 Achievements (6 available in 3 categories) 3 Replayable Mini-Games, 17 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 26 Collectible Triangles which allows you to unlock the Ultimate Hidden Object Scene, 26 Scene Morphing Objects, 15 HOP Morphing Objects, an Ultimate HO Puzzle, Chibi Islands image (after completing the BC) 26 Treasure Hunt Objects, a 40 piece Jigsaw Puzzle (that can be completed ANY time, even before you start the main game!) 6 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Once again, we get another worthless puzzle game by the same developer who mass-produces cookie-cutter games at a break-neck speed. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly offer a game with more uninteresting images than the last game, they prove me wrong! This game is chock-full of ugly, uninteresting, staged pictures of food...you heard me right, this is a jigsaw puzzle game based entirely on food, 100 jigsaws for Breakfast, 100 jigsaws for Lunch, 100 jigsaws for Dinner, 100 jigsaws for an Afternoon Snack, and 100 jigsaws for Supper! Why on earth would someone want to pay for 500 puzzles of nothing but food, has BF run out of games to offer?
If any of the images offered in this computer version was a real, physical retail boxed puzzle, sitting on a shelf in the puzzle aisle of the store, it would still be sitting there 20 years later, until some kind employee decided to show it some mercy and throw it in the recycle bin! Even if they put a huge sign on it that said "Free To A Good Home" it would be declined by even the most desperate puzzle geeks, bored out of their mind during a Covid lockdown!
You know the drill, nothing ever changes (& never will). There are Achievement Trophies to earn and a Top Scores leaderboard. There are no options to access any of those features to find out what achievements you are striving to achieve. You can save your puzzle progress but you can't save the completed puzzle image nor can you download the image as a screensaver or wallpaper, but then again, who wants wallpapers of food?
There is a box to store extra pieces, but there are no options to categorize, label, or sort these stored pieces, nor is there an option to fetch or retrieve certain pieces because you can't sort and label these stored pieces. The current sort option simply scrambles the pieces to the correct area, such as the top, bottom, right, or left side which feels like you're cheating...that makes no sense? Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to sort them by the correct rotation, color variations (zebra stripes, blue sky, green grass), or shape of the puzzle piece? At least it gives you the option to choose the Border pieces separately, but there is no available option to sort the border pieces by shape or color.
There is an option to post a Pictured Image of the puzzle you are working on which also allows you to choose three different sizes of x1, x2, or x3. You can also opt to Ghost the Image on the Background (the puzzle is assembled on top of the ghosted image) It doesn't, however, give you the option to choose the Opaqueness of the Ghosted Image to make the image more or less visible, depending on how difficult you want the puzzle assembly to be. The "ghosted image isn't "ghosted" it's simply a large, stationary picture.
There is an available Magnifying Glass to enlarge sections, as well as a Hint feature in case you get stumped. You can easily become "stumped" because the puzzle connection tabs connecting two pieces together, never appear as an actual match (the tab on puzzle piece A looks nothing like the opening in puzzle piece B) most of the time the colors don't even appear to match up because they are using cheap software. You can also choose the Resolution, opt for a single Custom Cursor (a tiny cursor at that!) or change the color of the background to a pastel shade of Pink, Green, Blue or Gray. Even though they are pastels, these basic color options tend to be too dark with most of the puzzles, so being able to adjust the intensity of the background colors at the very least, makes sense, doesn't it? Here's a fun fact: Even the oldest monitors can EASILYdisplay 16,777,216,256 different colors, yet we are only given an option of Four of those 16,777,216,256 colors to choose from as the background color!
Any Puzzle offered can be modified with Size options, the Shape of the puzzle pieces, and whether or not you want the pieces to Rotate, but even then, it's not optimized to allow you to assemble a puzzle much bigger than 300 pieces. A 300 Piece Puzzle purchased off the shelf would be labeled for ages +5 five years old and up! There's an old jigsaw meme that says "I just completed a puzzle in one week and the box says 2-5 years"...great motto for Jigsaws by this developer?
Once you complete a Jigsaw Puzzle, you're done, the party's over, you get about 2 seconds to admire your work before the image disappears and the stats pop-up...probably for the best! Just walk away and come visit me on my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net
I don't recommend this game.

Difficulty Range: Intermediate-Advanced
This is a classic done right, folks! Playing this game brought back so many fond memories, reminding me why I fell in love with HOPAs nearly a decade ago. Games back in the day didn't limit the available scenes to 1 or 2 locations at a time, they allowed you to meander through several locations, and this is what made games more interesting, more challenging because you had to think about where something was located, what to do, where to go, and what to do when you got there...oh, these were the good ole days when games were so much better, so much more fun! I gave the CE version 5-stars because that was the whole point of the game, to add bonus chapters and CE bling and the SE version doesn't have that. Thank you Friendly Fox for remastering a classic!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects: (CE version only)
Each scene has 1-2 Morphing Objects (for a total of 106!) The morphs allow you to unlock Roses at intervals of 5-10-25-37-51-76-106. There are 58 Coins in some of the scenes as well (263 total worth) There is an available pull-out Tab that tells you how many morphs & coins remain in each scene which is super helpful due to the fact that not every scene has the same amount of morphs and not every scene has coins! The coins are used to upgrade your Pet Squirrel, once you find him and name him that is :)
Gadget/Helper:
There is a "Helper" the above mentioned Squirrel, but he is only used a few times to retrieve items no mortal sister can easily reach. You can purchase items for the squirrel with the collectible coins, such as a cozy little house. This is an added feature that the original didn't have if I'm not mistaken?
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 24 Hidden Object Scenes +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter. These are classic HO's and they just don't make them like this anymore! Items don't stick out like a sore thumb in the scenes, they are really well done and very entertaining. There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, and a really fun Progressive, Interactive scene where you find and place items into a box while turning a key to switch scenes! There are no alternate games available, but you probably won't care because these are classic HO's.
Mini-Games:
There are 21 Mini-Games +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter. There are a ton of games where clicking one affects others which is usually my nemesis puzzles but it seems like most of them finish up when you simply click several times? Even the mini-games brought back fond memories, they have been presented multiple times over the years, but some of these puzzles have long retired :(
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
It's tough to be a big sister, especially when your sister Elizabeth is so naive! Once again she is kidnapped, but this time it's a wizard who is demanding the Flower of Life, found in the Gnomes labyrinth, as a ransom. This is a lengthy bonus chapter that takes place over 15 Scene Locations. There are 6 Mini-Games and 7 Hidden Object Scenes. There are no remaining Coins to collect but you will continue your search for the final 30 Morphing Objects which unlocks the final Rose.
Collector's Edition Version Extra's
7 Wallpapers (these are GORGEOUS wallpapers folks, the old-school, beautiful scenery wallpapers without the characters plastered all over them) 21 Concept Art Pictures, 4 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 24 Movie Video Cutscenes, 24 Achievements, 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 24 Replayable Mini-Games, 106 Morphing Objects that unlock 7 Roses at increments of 5-10-25-37-51-76-106, 58 Collectible Coins (worth 263 total) which allows you to buy upgrades for your pet Squirrel (which you get to name as well) 4 lengthy Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Please join me at my new forum at thewoodsforum.boards.net...hope to see you there :)

fromPLEASE developers, make new games like the old ones, it's why we fell in love with HOPAs (and the reason most new games struggle to get past a 3-star average rating!)

I LOVE THE ODD-SIZED GRIDS! (and it's not an easy-breezy game either)

I really like the Time Twins Mosaics and it sure beats those easy-breezy penguin-themed games that spew out a new game every month! I was thrilled that the grids were odd sizes, and it was kind of cool that after each mosaic, the pixels from the completed grid would float over to the main scene, which eventually constructs a complete Wintery scene!
These are logic-based mosaics with images that are easily recognizable, and because the grids are so oddly shaped, they tend to be more challenging. I wasn't blown away by the images this time, I thought they were just a little too generic (but not a deal-breaker) and I still think the Custom Cursor needs to be smaller and less clunky, but it's still leaps & bounds better than most mosaic games of late!
There are 14 different Avatars to choose from and there are 32 unique Achievements to earn, There are 4 different Tile Sets to choose from, one with beveled edges, a pyramid style, one with rounded edges, and one which is basically a flat, non-dimensional tile type. You can play in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode which either crosses off numbers immediately or when the entire row or column has been completed, and you can earn up to 3 Stars per level with 5 Mistakes allowed per level.

The Coins you uncover while solving the Mosaics is used to unlock the Bonus Puzzles, There are 9 Bonus Games available:
1-Memory-unlock with 1k coins
2-Advanced Collapse-unlock with 3k coins
3-Blocks and Balls-unlock with 5k coins
4-Trapping the Mouse-unlocks with 6k coins
5-Protector-unlocks with 7k coins
6-Find Marbles-unlocks with 8k coins
7-Logo-unlocks with 9k coins
8-Snowball Battle-unlocks with 10k coins
9-Split-unlocks with 11k coins
There were a few spelling errors and the music at times gets randomly loud, but this was a definite purchase and a welcome change of pace. Join me at my new forum to see my series lists and talk about all the games and more at thewoodsforum.boards.net hope to see you there!
I recommend this game!
