Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate
I didn't think GrandMa put forth as much effort in this game as they did the previous game Morbid Obsession. With that being said, the storyline was very interesting even though you will probably figure out the plot from the first opening cutscene. There aren't really any surprises and the gameplay is the same ole, same ole...but still better and less cookie-cutter than the other two major developers have been offering lately.
Gadgets/Helpers/Outcome Option:
There are no helpers, well technically, the Fox helps you. In true GrandMa Studios fashion, there is an infamous Amulet Gadget that is used to search for hidden Symbols.
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE version only)
There are 48 Collectible Envelopes, one simple, and one morphing, as well as 20 Zoom Zone Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces that allow you to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle once all pieces have been collected. You must find all of the collectibles to unlock the Secret Chapter "The Source" which is a Mini-game, but if you missed a collectible or jigsaw piece, you can return to the scene by going to the CE "Collectible" tab in the Extra's menu where you can click on any of the collectibles or jigsaws that you missed, to be taken to the scene where you can search for the missed collectible or jigsaw...Thank you Granny...this is how it should be!
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 13 Main Hidden Object Scenes and several Zoom Zone Mini-HOPs +2 in the CE Bonus Chapter. There is an alternate Match 3 game but this is the second worse Match 3 games in HOPA history, (right behind the big D-games) The tiles are round marbles which I actually liked, but there were hardly any matches available, I literally had to stare intently to find a simple Match 3, and there certainly wasn't an opportunity for any match larger than a Match 4! Because there were no large matches, I didn't get any bonuses or power-ups...assuming they were even available, which I highly doubt. So the really cool round and colorful marbles were just kind of pointless and not fun when you can't find the smallest of matches!!! As for the Hidden Object Scenes, there are Interactive List Finds, Multiples of the Same Object, and Silhouetted Shape Finds. There is also an Amulet-associated HOP where you are tasked with finding Hidden Symbols using the Amulet.
Mini-Games:
There are 17 Mini-Games +9 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Some, but not all of the puzzles have an Easy or Hard difficulty mode option available. The mini-games were doable on the first attempt in most cases and for the most part, were fun although they are the usual GrandMa Studios mini-games. The mini-games include arranging weights on a clock to equal the various times shown, swapping tiles to create an image, navigating maps by placing directional arrows, connecting dots, retracing shapes, and of course, lock mechanism puzzles galore.
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
"The Cracks" turns back the hands of the clock as you play Ursula trying to help Wolf hide the grimoire for safekeeping. This is an average-length chapter that takes place over 8 Scene Locations with an additional 9 Mini-Games, 2 Hidden Object Scenes. You will continue collecting the remaining Collectible Envelopes and the final Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces as well. GrandMa does allow you to return to the scenes to pick up any missed collectibles or Jigsaw Pieces which is required to open the Hidden Chapter entitled The Source, which is basically a Mini-Game.
Collector's Edition Extra's:
10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 23 Movie Cutscene Videos, 8 Music Soundtracks ♪, 9 Replayable Mini-Games♙, 12 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 12 Achievements, 48 Collectible Objects (1 simple, 1 morphing per scene) 20 Zoom Zone Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces (used to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle) 5 Main Chapters (The Shards) +Bonus Chapter (The Cracks) a Hidden Chapter/Mini-Game (The Source) and a Built-In Strategy Guide. You can find my series lists and so much more at my new forum, won't you join us! thewoodsforum.boards.net

I couldn't agree more with my friend Cyril48 because I have been waiting forever for a new Detective Agency Mosaic game. The first game blew my mind, and it was the only Mosaic game I've ever seen receive a solid 5-Star rating from 18 different reviewers!
You won't find a mosaic game with better graphics, more amazing color choices, options, or even a more interesting storyline. Detective Agency Mosaics is offered by the same developer who delivers us the Rainbow Mosaics series. The recent addition of a Tetris-style Mini-Game feature was simply ingenious!
You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column or row. When you click on the ?-question mark it will activate a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the Tetris-style shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style) You can Skip this mini-game if you desire, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark at all, but the puzzle geek in me absolutely loves this feature!
There are 120 Mosaic Levels with 14 Tile Styles but I always seem to choose the Lego-style tile every time. There are two Cross-off X's choices and you can play in an Expert Mode that only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed. There are 10 Achievements to earn and all 120 levels are available in the Freeplay section once played in the main game.
As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase decorations for the Agency or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade, such as. The Dog power-up which opens a random right square, a Lightning power-up that opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, or the Lamp power-up that opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. The power-ups can be upgraded twice, each upgrade covers a larger area on the grid.
For those of you who have never played this type of game before, don't let it intimidate you. When I first started playing games I passed Mosaic puzzles up because they looked so complicated but it's one of the easiest games to learn and super relaxing to play. Come join us on my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net

Difficulty Range: Beginner
Roderick Alcala was finally captured and sentenced to prison for the murder of 18 individuals. His services are used to help capture a copycat killer due to his unique skills, This sounds like a great idea, let's take a serial killer to the scene of a murder after improperly handcuffing him in front of his body rather than behind his back. This is the same serial killer whose sanity has not yet been determined, so we're going to take him to a murder scene that has the same MO as he used and we don't even know if he's psychologically disturbed, the paperwork says "probably is"...Just to be on the safe side, let's take the newbie cop with us, it's okay, he's really meticulous about stamping paperwork so he'll totally have your back!
Changes For The Better?
Nope! We asked for changes and this developer decides to give us a giant X if you don't click on a Hidden Object dead center. To make matters worse, the giant red X is accompanied by an "oh, no you didn't" sound just to remind us that we were Dead Wrong. But wait, there's more! In an attempt to make things more difficult, they decided to throw in a bunch of non-logical tasks. On one scene, I clearly need to place the 2/2 valves that I had in my inventory (yes both) onto the stems, however, the valves would not be accepted until several scenes later after initiating a cut scene? Inventory Items that were clearly the logical choice, were not accepted for various tasks throughout the game, you had to find an odd item that made no sense? Glitches were numerous, in fact, I can't remember a game by this developer lately, that hasn't had glitches! The biggest glitch is that when you click on the Boudior Tab, you get locked inside forever with no way out other than to exit the entire game! Then there are the extra Tokens at the end of the game, did I miss a Boudior Item when I was locked in the dark?
Gadgets/Helper:
There are no Gadgets or Helpers unless you count Roderick and the newbie cop as helpers?
Audio/Video Quality:
Domini usually does well in this department, especially after ditching the over-abundance of Purple, and Green hues. However, the scenes themselves are uninteresting, exactly what kind of prison is Roderick being held in? You'll understand after playing!
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only):
The collectibles are always the same in Domini games, they just have different names! There are 15 Photos,15 Personal Items (who's personal items, mine? Roderick's? the newbie cop's personal items? Are they personal items that someone misplaced, if so didn't I just steal them? I thought I was a cop?) There are 92 or 62 Zoom Zone Tokens that are used to purchase 15 unappealing Boudior Items but don't forget your flashlight in case you get trapped. You can opt to show or hide the collectible's tab, which alerts you whenever there is a collectible in a scene.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 12 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match) They are mostly Interactive List Finds but there were other variations, such as Silhouetted Shapes, Spot the Difference, Progressive-Interactive Finds, Matching Item Finds, and Combo Finds (_+_=?) and Keywords in Sentence Finds. If only Domini would add a skip button feature to their boring HO scenes!
Mini-Games:
There are 21 Mini-Games +10 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy most of these puzzles that have been offered hundreds of times. How many times do we have to drag puzzle pieces into place just to log onto a computer? How many Mazes do I have to endure? How many times do I have to untangle a rope, repeat the melody sequence or pick a lock?
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
There is a serial killer on the loose at the university! He/She is looking for revenge for actions taken...by the Mayor? This is an above-average-length chapter spanning over 10 scene locations! There are 10 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes, and you will continue your search for the final Photos, Personal Items, and Zoom Zone Tokens which allows you to purchase the final Boudior Decorations.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
15 Wallpapers, 15 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 29 Movie Video Cutscenes, 40 Achievements (the same achievements offered in all of their games) 25 Replayable Mini-Games, 17 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Photos, 15 Personal Items, a gazillion Missing Notes, 92 (or 62) Tokens of varying amounts to purchase 15 Boudoir Items, a Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. How many Alice's can one fantasy world have? In Shadowland, there seems to be a constant supply, but only one Alice who can save the day and release the beloved characters from the Queen of Hearts' evil tyranny.
This game is by far the best game that Friendly Fox has developed! The graphics are phenomenal, the music is enchanting, and the Morphs & Collectibles are fairly challenging to find. I absolutely loved how they returned us to Alice's Shadowland (and a few more surprising blasts from the past) which I had previously thought was the best game in the series. This is arguably the only sequel that was better than the original, not to mention that it met and exceeded my expectations! I also loved the amazing interactive objects where you could make a teddy bear raise his arms, and turn on magical lights, and various other interactions throughout the game...better than any other developers' games! Bravo, my Friends, job well done! People should not overlook the fact that you have amazingly creative talent when it comes to fantasy-themed storytelling...just stop and look at the graphics in each scene and you will see that they have artistic talent as well :)
Collectibles/Morphing Objects: (CE version only)
Each scene has 2 Morphing Objects (for a total of 50) and there are 2 Collectible Figurines in each scene. The Morphing Objects will Unlock Posters when completed and the Characters unlock music boxes at intervals of 1-50 collected figurines. There is an available pull-out Tab that tells you how many Morphs & Figurines remain in each scene.
Gadget/Helper:
There's always a "Helper" in Friendly Fox Studios games and this time it's a talking Owl named Luna who is capable of traveling between the Worlds of Liliput, Oz, Wonderland, and the Real World. Unfortunately, Luna has lost her marbles...I mean Amulets and can't remember a thing about her travels until they are found and replaced. She tells you a story about her friend, and their encounters with the Queen of Hearts each time a new Amulet is placed, and there are only a handful of Amulets so she's not used excessively.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter, not including the smaller Zoom Zone HO scenes where you are tasked with finding 6-7 objects or fragments. Most of the Hidden Object Scenes have several simplistic mini-games within them to solve such as clicking on objects in a specific order by trial and error. Almost every HO scene was different and includes Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Riddle Descriptions, Spot the Differences, Find & Replace Items into the scene, or placing shards of Stained Glass. There are no alternate games available.
Mini-Games:
There are 26 Mini-Games +9 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Most of the mini-games were available in a Casual or Difficult Mode which is super cool, in my opinion! There is a repetitive game each time you enter a new chapter where you are tasked with assigning tokens with a specified number of moves so your character doesn't land on a trap. Each game becomes progressively more difficult with more token moves. I didn't find any of the games to be particularly challenging but they were enjoyable to play. I actually enjoyed the Maze puzzles where you had to navigate through a maze of paths to find and use items to overcome obstacles.
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
This is an average-length bonus chapter playing as Jonathan who has to finish playing "the game" to prevent the boundaries between worlds from collapsing. You may even get a blast from Christmases past! There are 19 Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes, where you will continue searching for the final Morphing Objects and Figurines.
Collector's Edition Version Extra's
6 Wallpapers, 14 Before/After Concept Art pictures, 5 Screensavers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 31 Movie Video Cutscenes, 26 Achievements (12 of which are available in 3 categories) 16 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 16 Replayable Mini-Games, 50 Morphing Objects, 50 Collectible Figurines that unlock a different music box, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Won't you join us on my new forum at thewoodsforum.boards.net...hope to see you there :)

Lucia continues her journey solo after her werewolf brother Ulf destroyed the witches’ sarcophagi. After being summoned by an all-seeing Oracle, Lucia discovers she has been chosen to save the world from a devastating Cataclysm by finding something that is lost but never was...and the adventure continues!
Audio/Graphics Quality:
Perfection at its best here folks! Although I don't understand the connection to witches, the music is The Music of the Plains, a type of Native American traditional/ceremonial music that is really relaxing to listen to. As far as graphics go, this developer perfected realism years before other developers. The characters are CG but 100% authentic, they look real, they move fluently, they have well-synced lip and eye movement and they are always likable characters...and always a female-protagonist. Drop the Mic guys, you're job is done, others can only dream of this type of perfection!
Collectibles (CE version only)
No other developer beats the CE bling that Five-BN games offer, which definitely makes the CE well-worthy of the extra price! Not only are there 42 Collectible's total, but there are also several different types, 8 Crystal Balls-8 Figurines-7 Compasses-7 Ravens, and 12 Shells (the 12 Shells are offered in the Bonus Chapter) You will earn an Achievement and unlock an extra Bonus Mini-Game for every collection completed! There are also 8 Manuscripts that give you in-depth insight about the Witches, Oracles, and Ancient ones and are actually quite enjoyable to read. Completing the Manuscripts Collections will also unlock an Achievement and an extra Mini-Game with many levels in the extra's menu.
Morphing Objects (CE version only)
There's only one developer that did a better job with Morphing Objects but they moved on to other projects, unfortunately. (they were non-linear morphs that were triggered by an action in an entirely different scene!) There are 30 Morphing Objects that morph at the perfect pace and are just the right size to make them challenging to spot, which is the whole point of a morphing object! You can even tweak the custom setting to disable/enable the cursor from changing to a hand. Completing the Morphing Objects Collections will earn you an Achievement and unlock a Bonus Game as well...totally worth the price of a CE!

Hidden Object Scenes:
There are only 10 Hidden Object Puzzles +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Usually, Hidden Object Scenes bore me to tears but Five-BN has the most creative Hidden Object PUZZLES you'll ever play! (these can't be put in the same HOS category, these are Hidden Object Puzzles, not Hidden Object Scenes!) These are scenes that take place in the entire scene or room, they aren't just piles of junk laying on the table in a dark corner of the room like most games offer! There are basically 4 different variations of Hidden Object Puzzles offered, Progressive-Interactive List, Progressive-Interactive Silhouetted Shapes, Progressive-Interactive Multiples, and Progressive-Finding & Replacing. The interactions are multi-layered and do require a lot of thought processes because the interactions are not your typical cookie-cutter interactions. You will always be required to figure out how to open boxes, find hidden caches, etc. and everything requires multiple tasks or progressions to solve them which is why they aren't Hidden Object Scenes, they are Hidden Object Puzzles, not to mention the fact that every HOP has a mini-game puzzle to solve, and sometimes two! Did I mention how talented this team is? One of my favorite HO features is when Five-BN creates a Hidden Object of Urgency, they truly make you feel like you are in dire straits. In this case, you are underwater and have to come up for air every 30 seconds which doesn't give you a lot of time underwater to figure out the complicated progressive interactions required!
Mini-Games:
There are 43 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter. (including the puzzles within the Hidden Object Scenes) The puzzles weren't as impressive as they have been in the past and many of them are rehashed puzzles from previous games by this developer. With that being said, they are still 95% more enjoyable than the games by all other developers combined, they just weren't as mind-boggling. These aren't the kind of games that can be solved in one or two moves, and certainly not by luck of the draw! Most of them take several complicated steps to tweak puzzle pieces into position, and most games will require a little bit of thought and a little bit of patience to solve. Did I mention how incredibly talented this team is? Even the Hidden Object Scenes are more like puzzles AND they have mini-games within them! My only complaint is that they STILL tend to have horribly confusing instructions simply because of the way they try to draw out the explanation, such as, "in order to achieve the goal a parameter needs to be established around the elements by..." Most of the instructions are far too complicated to understand what is expected of the player in order to solve the puzzle even though the games themselves aren't necessarily complicated. I would love to help my favorite developer uncomplicate these instructions, always willing to help, just ask :)
Some of my favorite Mini-games:
1-Strategically place green gems on the board to light up every red gem. (see, uncomplicated instructions!)
2-Slide pull out tabs on the left or right side & rotate the central disk to align each of the animal sections. Click on the completed images.
3-Move "blocks" to allow the chips to be placed in their matching colored slots.
4-Place all weapons into the box on the left side without overlapping.
5-Click the central button to swap puzzle sections until each circle has only one color.
6-Collect stones with the magnet in a specific pattern to place them in their matching recessed slots at the same time.
7-Place numbers into cells on a grid to equal the sums shown on each column & row.
Puzzles I didn't like:
1-Replicate the colored pattern shown by rotating chains of colored balls, use directional arrows to switch the junction box from the upper to lower level. (a really frustrating puzzle)
2-Move ships along the tracks to their color-coded slots. (far too simplistic)
3-Swap books to restore the image on the spines (so old-school, done these hundreds of times before)
4-Rotate 3 disk sections to align the 3 symbols you discovered a few seconds ago (if I had to remember this clue for longer than 2 seconds it may have been more challenging, you might as well have slapped a sticky note to give me the answer!)
5-Uncrumple paper wads, place 4 sections together to complete the star image (4 pieces...really?)
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
Wind back the Hands of the Clock and embark on a Legendary adventure as the Archwitch. Your journey takes you to Eltay Island in search of Sacophagi and information about the legendary Ancient Ones. This is a lengthy chapter spanning over 12 scene locations, but you'll wish it never ended (unlike the games by the other weekly dev) with 8 Mini-Games and 5 incredible HO Scenes including those ingenious Progressive-Interactive Hidden Object Scenes. Although there are no more Morphing Objects or Historical Manuscripts remaining, a brand new Collectible becomes available, so you'll search for 13 Shells, and of course, it will unlock another Bonus Game in the CE extra's Menu as well as award you with a new Achievement!
Collector's Edition Extra's:
10 amazing Wallpapers, 8 Music Soundtracks, 11 Video Cutscenes, 14 Replayable Mini-Games, 5 Puzzles +Bonus Puzzles if you complete the Collections Categories which unlocks a new Bonus Puzzle for EACH collection completed!) 42 Collectibles (12 Shells-8 Crystal Balls-8 Figurines-7 Compasses-7 Ravens (the 12 Shells are offered in the Bonus Chapter) 8 Manuscripts (Completing the Manuscripts Collections will unlock an extra Mini-Game with many levels in the extra's menu) 30 Morphing Objects (Completing the Morphing Objects Collections will unlock a Bonus Game) 4 very long Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide. The Wild Case has the look and feel of a HOPA game but it is strictly a point & click Adventure game with no Hidden Object Scenes and no real Puzzles to solve. This is the perfect game for HOPA fans to cut their teeth on and learn how to play an adventure game. Adventure games are story-rich games that require finding solutions to problems so the player can progress, usually in the form of helping characters solve their problems in exchange for something that will help solve your problem.
I actually prefer Adventure games because each game is different, they rarely seem cookie-cutter and Linear as is "The Case" in most HOPA games. The Wild Case has a really good story with a really gratifying ending, however, there are no voiceovers and the developer didn't include a way to fast forward conversations or skip them...I get that the dialog gives you important clues as to what to do and where to go next, but I felt the dialog moved too slow, most people can scan a single dialog box quickly.
The Wild Case takes place in a small village in Russia where they have been experiencing a weird phenomenon after shutting down the coal mine. Wild beasts with glowing red eyes have been attacking the locals and the local authorities contact Detective Milkhalvich (from Shameless? lol) as a final ditch effort. The graphics are a bit grainy to add to the ambiance but don't let that fool you, the graphics are very well-done and everything feels genuine, it reminds me of the way HOPA games used to be back when they were games you looked forward to playing!
There are three chapters, The Station, The Village, and The Mines. There is no Hint feature and you could look for a walkthrough, but I suggest retracing your steps if you get stuck because you have to keep in mind that this isn't a linear game, actions you take in one scene may trigger actions in another scene. For example, you may leave a scene that doesn't seem to have any tasks or people to speak with, go to another scene and speak with a character, then when you return to that previous scene a character has suddenly arrived which helps you progress. Sure, you are doing a lot of back & forthing, but that's what make's an adventure game adventurous!
It may seem frustrating at first but once you get the hang of it you'll never look back (psst: HOPA games are a dying breed, HOPA developers are dwindling, now's the time to fall in love with a new genre) Inventory Items are stored on the top of the screen and will only appear when you hover your mouse over it. If you need to use an inventory item you will have to click the item and drag it to the place it's being used or to hand it to a character. There is a Map in your inventory bar as well, (you'll grab it in the first scene) and the map allows you to jump from scene to scene but this game won't hold your hand, you have to use the ole noggin, common sense, and good old-fashioned logic.
Give this game a chance, it's a pretty easy game to figure out once you get used to the game mechanics and it's a perfect introductory game to the genre. Won't you join us at my new forum to talk about this game, meet important celebrities, and so much more at thewoodsforum.boards.net

When I first started playing this series it worked really well but 4-5 games later it started becoming bogged down with orbs that moved in slow-motion. A few games later that issue was resolved and now games 11 and 12 have returned to the slow-motion scenario. I have a wicked fast computer with plenty of RAM, etc. and it's designed for gaming so I know that isn't the issue, and of course, I deleted and reinstalled the game with no improvements. I recently went back and tried Clear It 10 and it worked fine so something in the developer's program has changed since then that is making it incompatible with my computer!
Everything else works at normal speeds, the game loads quickly, the levels page appears almost instantaneously, the profile page, settings, even pulling up the chosen level instantly takes me to the level but the second I click an orb, things go haywire. Orbs have even rolled back towards the outer edge after hitting their target, before finally rolling in the correct direction. Other times I've clicked an orb directed towards a bonus orb and I hear the lightning noise and see flashing lights on the screen as if the 2 orbs collided, but the orb hasn't even left the chute! The orb can be seen finally leaving its comfy little nest after the lightning dissipates! It just weird, and I have to say I've never had any issues playing Quadrium games!
If you are a seasoned Clear It player you will probably want to bypass the first few normal levels and go straight to the multi-colored orb levels. There are 80 levels with 2 colored orbs, 80 levels with 3 colored orbs, 40 levels of 4 colored orbs, 15 levels of 5 colored orbs, 10 levels of 6 colored orbs, and a measly 5 levels of the super challenging 7 colored orbs.
The gameplay is simple, there is an unlimited number of colored Orbs located on all four sides of the board and the goal is to launch an Orb at an identical colored Orb(s) on the field until all Orbs have been removed. The Orb will travel in a straight column or row until it hits another Orb, Power-up, or Obstacle. If the selected Orb hits one or more Orbs of the same color, they are removed, and you may need to use a little bit of strategy to set up your moves, keep in mind that there is no timer.
Each level has Power-ups that appear briefly on the field or within the Orbs themselves, before disappearing and reappearing as a different Power-up in a completely different area. The Power-ups are activated when hit by an Orb or included in a Match.
*Rotation power-up: reshuffles and replaces the Orbs.
*Multi-colored Bombs: eliminates adjacent Orbs
*Spears power-up: replaces all border Orbs with Tridents *Fireball power-up: explodes and eliminates nearby Orbs.
*Lightning/voltage power-up: eliminates nearby Orbs in a cross formation.
*Star power-up: shoots stars to eliminate adjacent Orbs.
*Dynamite power-up: explodes to eliminate adjacent orbs.
*Numbers: choose 1 or 5 Orbs to eliminate via crosshairs.
*Gear power-up: eliminates all orbs of the same color.
Each level progresses in difficulty, as more orb colors are added, fewer orbs in the desired color along the edges are offered. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice and add a few orbs to the equation, to be able to get to the desired colored orb, but because there's no time or moves limit it doesn't count against you.
The rows and columns finally highlight after 11 games without this feature, but it doesn't do me any good if it will take me 5 hours to complete each level moving in slow motion?? The colors are brighter but nothing has really changed. If you want a REAL challenge, you'll have to opt for the multiple orbs levels but they don't offer as many levels. fromI am now able to complete a level by removing a single Gold Card laying on the top of the pile? I think you forgot to change THE ONE feature that actually matters!?

Obviously, the developers are reading our reviews because I made a comment in my last review, that you are always able to remove every single card on the first level of every solitaire game by this developer; which gives the consumer a false impression that the rest of the game will be this way. If someone hasn't played one of the numerous solitaire games by this developer, they may just play the first level and mistakenly think that this will be the case for the entire game, and after playing the first level, they may very well exit the game and purchase it, only to discover that they were deceived! If you've played these games before, you know that it isn't the case, that the rest of the levels will have several cards remaining once you remove the final gold card, and that some levels are designed so that it's literally impossible to remove all cards because the final gold card covers a huge pile of cards, once you remove that gold card you're done, it's impossible to keep playing!
I also stated in my last review, that you'd be repeating level 4 (on every solitaire game by this developer) several times because the program is designed for this particular scenario. Obviously, they read this because now you only have to replay a level 4 times to be able to remove all gold cards (not all cards, just all gold cards) You're not going to believe this one folks, they changed this scenario so that on the fifth attempt, you simply have to remove 1 gold card that is laying on top of the piles and the first deck card is always the correct card! This happened to me on 3 different levels in the demo when I wasn't successful on four previous attempts!
Am I supposed to be impressed that they changed these two scenarios? Yes, and No, sure it's great that they changed a scenario, feature but now they've shown their "hand" and have proved that they read our reviews, yet they didn't bother to change THE one feature that matters to solitaire fans the most? Of course, I understand that some people like this type of game and don't care that there are several cards remaining, which btw is the whole point of solitaire, to remove ALL cards. Do the developers not care that the other 95% of solitaire fans want to be able to remove all of the cards from the board? Is it so hard to at the bare minimum offer a game once in a while that gives us an option to continue playing until we achieve the solitaire goal of removing all cards? Do they not think that we might enjoy these solitaire games if this feature was available?
The most likely explanation is that it would require creating a new program, right now they simply copy & paste the same solitaire game program onto different backgrounds and give it a new name. If they had to change the game to allow us to continue playing after the gold card has been removed, they would also have to change the program and the instruction page, so I'm guessing no one wants to work? Wouldn't it be worth it if you sold more games, or are you afraid no one will try the game because they have stopped trying the demos because they know it's "just another solitaire game by the same developer where the game ends once you remove the gold cards"?
Once again, there are 9 Card Graphic Themes to choose from and 3 Font sizes (traditional, themed, and large font) The music isn't bad, but yes, it too is the same, not to mention that at times the music pauses and you're left with an awkward silence. Once again, nothing changed with these features?
As usual, the game begins with a tutorial in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level. After completing the tutorial or opting out by clicking on the tutorial X, you can choose the Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack. Same Features, Nothing changed here either?!
This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game (of course it is) where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location and there are 20 Locations with 10 levels per location. Yup, still the same feature?!
When you remove cards with a round blue flower, you will receive either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle, or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned, at a ridiculous price point of 2500-8000-5000. Lucky us, they decided to add several more bonus cards per level which translates to an agonizing game interruption because the game freezes to show you what you have just won. Same ole-same ole feature?!
Once again, this game states that there are Achievements to earn, but I've yet to earn one, but then again, I never buy them, therefore, I never play further than the demo because I have no desire to waste money on a game that has nothing new to offer, and never gives me the option to continue playing after removing all Gold Cards. I refuse to even use a PCC.
When and if they decide to change something other than the title, I may consider buying them, but only if they make an option that allows me to remove all of the cards, not just the Gold Cards. Until they bother to change something, anything...I will continue giving them a single star, I'd give them ZERO stars if I could! Come join me on my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net
I don't recommend this game.

The colors are rather bland this time and there aren't many options. There's no color scale for changing the color of the current number you are working on to make it easier to spot the numbers, a feature that seems to come and go from game to game. There's also no Hint feature to point you to a few straggling numbers that you can't seem to find either. I couldn't get the PC version to work but the Mac version worked perfectly fine (it's usually the other way around)
Recently I played the newest game by this developer called Modern Art and I fell in love with that game, yes, even more than Pixel Art! The colors are textured like a true oil painting and the completed pictures are true works of art...I guess they are Modern works of Art
There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets so as long as someone can recognize numbers, they should be able to play! Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers, in a pixelated version! Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, and you simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well.
There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background only, it doesn't change the shaded numbers which is kind of the point, it really only allows you to change the colors of the background to shades of grey to black. We'd love for you to join us at my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net
I recommend this game!

I loved the first Robin Hood and the second one was good but it was crazy-difficult to earn all 3-stars. Robin Hood: Hail to the King has me teetering on the fence, there are so many bells and whistles that it kind of takes away from the Time Management aspect because there are so many Bonuses. It's kind of like how they are creating Match 3 games with mobile app type bonuses that practically play the game for you because of the constantly exploding bombs on the board that you are forced to use if that makes sense?
You can play in an Easy, or Normal Mode and each level has 3 Hidden Objects (CE & SE Versions) that aren't so hidden. Well, some of them are partially hidden but they are so large that they are nearly impossible to miss! Each level has different objects but you can see which collectibles are available by looking at the level map. There are 12 Bows, 12 Clubs, 12 Potion Bottles, 12 Hats, 12 Necklaces, 12 Tags (?) 12 Slingshots, 12 Swords, and 33 Gems in total.
There are the usual Time Management tasks of Clearing Paths of weeds, Wooden Logs, Boulders, etc. You will harvest Berry Bushes, Apple Trees, Walnut Trees, and gather random food caches, and go fishing, as well as repair Rope Buildings, Sawmills, Farms, Bridges, and Ladders. You can even sheer the sheep, and of course, Robin Hood and his merry men steal Gold from the Rich to Give to the Poor, and you will have to set traps to deter the King's Guards because they don't just hand over their booty.
Here's where it gets complicated. There is a Noble Cause Meter that rewards you with Permanent Bonuses for each tier whenever you help the Pheasants. They will increase the hero's speed, increase the worker's speed, increase production speed or increase the hero worker's speed. You can increase the percentages with the gold earned playing the levels. You can drag and drop two "team" characters with various abilities to the icon tab before the start of each level. The characters have different effects on the "team" such as making everyone work faster, help summon their will, or increase Noble Cause points. These can be upgraded 5 times each. It was confusing, somewhat annoying, and made the game seem more like a mobile app than a hardcore strategy game.
The Collector's Edition has 6 Skins, 5 Music Soundtracks, 12 Bows, 12 Clubs, 12 Potion Bottles, 12 Hats, 12 Necklaces, 12 Tags (?) 12 Slingshots, 12 Swords, and 33 Gems (3 Hidden Objects per level) 32 Main Levels, 11 Bonus Levels, and 12 Heist Levels where you can play to earn Gold. I'd love for you to join us on my new forum at thewoodsforum.boards.net :)
I recommend this game!
