Apparently if you sniff too much green paint, A.K.A Paris Green pigment, you will die! Sophie Dubois proved this to be the case when the star of the Moulin Rouge smelled the sweet aroma of a single red rose, tainted with the killer pigment (I've never been fond of green anyway) The local authorities are blaming the janitor which makes no sense so your job as Detective Roche isn't going to be a walk in the park. Who murdered Sophie and why?
Grab your forensics bag and start this investigation Madame Roche. Your forensics bag will help you properly investigate crime scenes starting with the examination of Sophie's cold dead body so I hope you aren't virtually squeamish because at one point you will actually turn Sophie's lifeless head to examine the other side for clues. Your kit will contain a magnifying glass and cotton swabs and some basic tools, and you will be able to search for missing items or compare specimens in the form of a mini game. There are achievements to earn as well as 41 hidden windmills, one in each scene and there is an icon available that will indicate if you have found a windmill in that location. Your map serves a dual purpose, obviously you can use the nap to travel to different locations, but you can also travel to a new destination by clicking on the carriage and then handing the driver your desired location, and off you go! Instead of a journal, you have an evidence board, a mechanical tablet that displays evidence, suspects, clues and objectives. Personally the evidence board is getting a little old at this point and it seems that every game is using that concept now.
The Hidden Object Puzzles are a mixture of interactive list finds, progressive interactives where you find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape shown and use that item in the scene to obtain the next item, there are also mini HO within zoomed in areas. There is also an option of playing a Match 3 game instead of the HOS but the HOS are very interactive and well done. The mini games are clever, although nothing new, they did put just enough of a twist on them to catch my attention. There were two in particular that I liked, one that required you to slide a chain through a maze from right to left, the twist was that you had to guide the chain to set points in order to open different maze paths! Another game was identifying and matching three different animal parts from a painting that would match a picture of one of three different gargoyle diagrams shown.
This Collectors Edition has so many extra features that it makes me wonder how future CE games could compete. Extra Mini games, HOP's, Bonus HOP's, a Souvenir Room, Match 3, Collectible Windmills, Codex, the Making of, Pictures, Movies, Music, Achievements, a Bonus Chapter and of course a built in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

What?? I can't believe this game received such poor ratings, did I play the same game as everyone else? I loved the graphics, I loved the features and I loved the story! You are the Ambassador from Aeria sent to Tida to deliver a marriage proposal to Queen Beatrix's beautiful daughter, Princess Selene. Thing's don't go well for you in Tida, the proposal was a trick and the Princess was immediately bound in magical chains that began draining her life force and not even Tida's healer Maeria could break the curse. The Queen was furious to say the least, and cast a spell upon you, binding your life with Princess Selene's life, if she dies, so shall you. Well that seems to be motive enough for you to hop on your trusty steed, which in the magical kingdom scenario happens to be a flying white tiger, to seek the knowledge of the wise dragons! And that's just the start of a long magical journey to save the precious life of the Princess and unbind the chains that connect to your life as well!
You really do have a white tiger with enormous wings for transportation, you can choose any destination by clicking on the tiger. Shortly after your journey begins, you will find a magical gauntlet as well as an assortment of elemental powers such as fire, that will assist you throughout the game and can be quickly accessed by choosing the correct icon. There are cards strewn throughout the kingdoms that are fragments from The Great Hall of Noble men and women depicted for their courage and determination. When you find a complete set of cards for one of these noble leaders, you will be able to learn about that character. There are 36 achievements to earn, and I will admit that this isn't an easy game, and at times the tasks at hand don't seem like a logical solution.
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly progressive interactive silhouetted shape finds, but there are also list finds as well as replacing shapes back into the scene. The mini games are entertaining and most are fairly easy, with the exception of the puzzle where you had to make a clear path for a dragon token by rotating several sections, sounds easy but you had to move forward, change the position of sections you just moved from going back and forth with three different tokens, very frustrating IMO.
This Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Music, Hidden Object games, an Art Gallery, Puzzles, Achievements, Hidden Noble Cards, a Bonus Chapter and of course a built in Strategy Guide which I highly recommend with this game, enjoy!

Another fantastic edition of Strike Solitaire with beautiful locations such as Sunset Beach, Babbling Brook, Palm Island, Golden Bay, Chrysanthemum Garden and lot's more. The object of this solitaire game is to make matches of cards regardless of the suit. Gold cards get 1 point and if you remove all gold cards before the cards are returned to the deck you get a strike. Just as in bowling, if you get a strike, the score from the next frame will be added to the points from the current frame. Removing cards fills the multiplier bar and the more cards you remove the higher the multiplier becomes. The money you earn can be used in the shop to purchase an additional card slot (from 2 slots to 3) an extra shuffle, or another Joker which can be matched with any card. There are two modes of difficulty, Junior which allows you to replay any frame and Pro which will only allow you to replay an entire match. You must complete the first lane in the Junior mode before switching to Pro. What are you waiting for? Go have some fun and enjoy!

This is just another mahjong game with a Jurassic theme, but there's nothing special about it. You will explore locations such as Wild Prairie, The Traveler, the Pathfinder, the Observer, the Explorer and the Scientist and each of these locations have about 20 levels within them. Each level has specific tasks that need to be in order to earn all 3 gold stars such as removing all special gold tiles, completing the level within a specific amount of moves and earning a specific amount of points. There is an explorer icon that will highlight all available tiles and there is a shuffle button that can be replaced by matching silver tiles within each game. You can choose classic, numbered and jurassic themed mahjong tiles, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The women of Paris are being turned into puppets! Can you find out who's pulling the strings?

This game just didn't do that much for me, even though other reviewers thought it was the bees knees. It's a solid game, but I've never been a fan of the "mechanical" based games, although I did like the other Puppet games better than this one. You are a well traveled explorer (wouldn't you have to be well traveled to be an explorer?) and detective investigating the disappearance of women, all with similar features, and the reports are that a strange lightning phenomena strikes and turns the victims into puppets! Who is the puppet master controlling this wicked phenomenon and why?
There are a lot of features presented in this game, some items you need to find are shown on the top of the screen such as arrows, fuses, poster pieces and even your map, diary and inventory "fan" need to be found to start your investigation. You also have a case file to examine the evidence you collect during your investigation. The Collectors Edition has an Achievement icon that can be quickly accessed on the left of the screen and an icon for Patrons of Art on the right where you find piggy banks with coins to purchase the remodeling items of the Eiffel Tower and park and eventually the Statue of Liberty.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied but I liked the one where you had to find items that relate to similar words as the Parisian Police officer, Froissart goes over the case with you. You can switch to a picture list at anytime if you can't make the connection. Mini games were mostly puzzles such as rotating and correctly placing poster pieces or swapping books until a complete picture is formed on the spines of the book.
The Collector's Edition comes with collectible piggy banks, mini games, achievements, concept art, wallpapers, screensavers, music, movies, HOP. mini games, a bonus game and a built in strategy guide, enjoy!

Seems we've left the pirate scene and moved to Egypt as we join Arizona Rose once again for some pic cross adventures. I really like the fact that these puzzles are depicted in several colors automatically. The object of this type of game is to choose whether a tile gets filled in or crossed out by deduction. If the grid dimensions are 5X5 for example, and the clues given in a horizontal line are 1 1 1, the logical move would be to fill in the first tile followed by an empty tile followed by a filled tile, then another empty tile and the last tile would be filled as well, and you continue this process horizontally and vertically until a picture is finished ( don't worry if this looks confusing because there is an excellent tutorial) you are allowed 5 mistakes per game and you get 4 hints per game as well if you get stuck. There are several small mini games available to play as well such as finding hidden pieces and putting together a puzzle or rotating blocks with paths to form a complete path from one end to the other.
The puzzles seem to be on the easy side so this game would be excellent for new players or even die hard fans who want to chillax for a change, enjoy!

Amanda Walters packs up the youngins, Peggy and Jimmy and heads for the Train Exhibition that the kids are so anxious to see. Somehow Amanda (AKA) mom loses track of the kids and the next thing you know they are screaming for their mom from inside of the exhibitions main attraction Train # 1802, an old Railway Express Mail train. Fortunately you are supermom and you quickly jump onto the back of a fast moving train and bust your way into the train compartment. Every time you get close to the kids, a man dressed in a creepy welders suit grabs them and they're gone again. Something about the passengers aboard this train isn't right, they all seem, well dead, but nobody else seems to be concerned with their appearance but you!
This game certainly has a fresh storyline, one that definitely interests me, but I do have a few complaints starting with the very bland graphics that at times seem a bit blurry. I also found the mechanics of this game to be clunky and sluggish, and too many tasks were mundane such as placing a newspaper under the door, pushing the key through the lock, pulling out the newspaper using the key on the lock and turning the handle, or using a hammer about 40 times to break a window (by this time my thoughts are that I seem young enough to simply call this rescue mission a loss and perhaps adopting a few more kids). Because the story is really intriguing I'm willing to work through my frustrations.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied from progressive silhouetted shape matches where you find and fix items and use those items within the scene in order to expose another item. I really liked the HOS where I had to use special tools such as a flashlight, a fingerprint duster, a luminous to expose blood stains and a magnifying glass to find items that matched the silhouetted shapes of which some items required multiples, and this wasn't an easy task. The mini games are actually entertaining as well. Some games required you to rotate hexagons until all shapes and colors matched, and one of my favorites was placing a gem anywhere on a board in order to move the medallion along paths, but you had to travel all of the paths without overlapping lines.
All in all this is a decent game, not a phenomenal game, but decent enough to play all the way through and be somewhat entertained, enjoy!

I'm usually not a difficult gamer to please, but no matter how hard I tried to enjoy this game, I just didn't have fun playing. With that being said, I'm sure there will be players out there who will like this game so here are the basics. You can choose to play the Campaign mode with a story or Free Mode in easy, medium or hard without the burden of the story. There are several different quest such as Classic, where you have a limited time to clear the board, Arcade where you make matches and pull special crystals to the bottom of the board, Archeologist where you match special tiles on the board, Digger where you move down and destroy ground tiles, and Puzzle where you match all of the tiles and clear the field.
There are only two types of blocked tiles or obstacles, Ice and block tiles which can be destroyed by making matches near them. There are Bonuses to earn such as Bombs by matching red tiles, Fairy by matching violet tiles which will destroy tiles from one end to the other, Lightning by matching blue tiles which will destroy tiles horizontally, Strikes by matching green tiles which will destroy tiles vertically, Spectrums by matching yellow tiles which will destroy same color tiles, Rockfalls by matching orange tiles which will destroy randomly, Crystals with coins give you extra points when matched and Crystals with timers add more time to the timer.
The tutorial is pretty much void, the crystals aren't appealing, there aren't enough matches available at times and the game mechanics seem to be archaic and clunky in my opinion but perhaps you will have better luck.

This is by far one of the most fun and addicting word games I have ever played. You can choose to play a continuous game which requires you to earn enough points to progress, or Quick play which will allow you to earn some of those points required. You can purchase coins as well as hints and passes, and there is an airplane that passes by constantly to allow you quick access to the store. This is a game similar to scrabble but not quite, there are honeycomb grids which represent a word you must complete by choosing any grid that is sparkling. You are then given a clue such as "To be" and you must slide given letters around until you form the correct answer in this case the word is Exist. Some letters are already in the correct spot and cannot be moved, you will get more points the fewer moves you make, but there is a timer so don't wait too long to give the answer. The grids shown in gold are picture clues, a picture is shown with a brief description and when you finish the word that picture will be added to your photos that can be viewed as a slide show. If you cannot figure out the word or it has been spelled wrong, those incorrect letters will be shown briefly in red so that you can try again. At the end of each round you get to earn extra points with a bronze question, silver question and then gold question. You can choose areas such as Canada, Western U.S., Central and Eastern U.S, Central America or Jamaica which will have questions pertaining to that geographical area. You start out with easy questions and progress to medium and hard, it's a very easy game to learn and very educational, enjoy!

A Mage has convinced the citizens of Florence that he is the true Messiah, taking control of the government and ordering all works of art and science destroyed! That's really bad news for a person such as Leonardo da Vinci, can you imagine his artwork as well as inventions way beyond it's time being destroyed, even worse, some inventions could be used as weapons against the citizens if someone with evil intentions uses them. Leonardo's own apprentice Lisa seems to be helping this evil mage, or is she simply trying to gain the trust of the enemy so that she can save the priceless works of art?
As with most Grim Facade games, you will need to find fans within the Hidden Object Scenes to use as hints, otherwise they will not be available, with the exception of using the hint icon for directions to the correct location. Some of Leonardo's inventions will join you, a mechanical dove to retrieve items too high to reach, and even a mechanical sheep that can chew through just about any kind of vegetation that obstructs your path, and you get to name him as well. There is a special room called the Sheep's room that will allow you to furnish this room with different items for the sheeps pleasure, but these are simply achievements earned throughout the game. You will also collect items that can be placed into a pop up book called Leonardo's Tales, when all items have been found you will get to read a short tale he has written. There are sections in the game that allow you to choose from two different scenarios as to which answer you choose to give a character you meet such as Lisa, do you want to hide from the mage or confront Lisa about her loyalty?
The Hidden Object Scenes are both list finds as well as progressive silhouetted shapes where you find the first item that matches the silhouette shape shown and then use that item back into the scene to expose the next item and so forth, some scenes are repeated twice. There are going to be all kinds of mechanical gadgets to find parts for because of his many inventions and most of the mini games are theme related such as entering the correct code onto the cryptex scroll by using clues shown on a diagram.
This Collector's Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Screensavers, Movies, Music, Mini Games, HOS, Leonardo's collectible Tales, Achievements also known as the Sheep's Room, a built in Strategy guide and of course a Bonus Chapter. Anyone who is a fan of the great da Vinci will probably enjoy this game although I'm not sure how much of it is fact or fiction, enjoy!
