At first glance, I thought this was going to be a really horrible game. Everything was so tiny, the cursor was bigger than the people and I have a 30 inch screen! I kept playing, and what I discovered was an incredibly well crafted game! A young boy and his sister are the sole survivors of a devastating earthquake. They have been traveling aimlessly through the woods as they seek a new village. A kind and gentle man discovers the orphans and invites them to stay with him in a nearby village. The brother wastes no time, he scours the village in search of work to earn their keep.
This game takes some getting used to, basically you click on the exclamation points above each villager. That person may need help medically or may need help with finding lost items, they may even be willing to barter with you. Each task requires different things such as energy or food, or it may require the use of a specific tool. That's where it becomes fun, when you have to figure out what needs to be done in order to achieve each goal. You have to find food and rest, those are necessities, sleeping means bring the old man some food, therefore you have to do favors for other villagers in order to get food so you can rest and receive health! This is a quirky game, an unusual game, it will take some time to understand how the game works, but once you figure it out, it's really fun, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Tonight is the grand re-opening of the Taylor Hotel. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself as it hosts the Second Illusionist Championship. You remember that fateful night very well, because you are the journalist who won a Pulitzer Prize for the coverage of the First Illusionist Championship. Unfortunately, things don't go well this time either, because that wouldn't be very "dangerous" so now you must play a wicked game with an Illusionist who has some pretty deadly tricks up his sleeve. Can you survive this terrifying ordeal and separate what is real from illusion?
I loved the fact that every puzzle and hidden object scene kept true to the genre with magic tricks and illusions. You will find a pair of Truth Goggles that will reveal hidden doors, passageways and hidden props, before using them you will have to recreate images shown by combining several shapes.
The Hidden Object Scenes range from interactive list finds, finding multiples of a single item, to progressive silhouetted shape finds. Each HOP has codes to decipher and small puzzles within to add more interactive features. The mini games were all based upon illusionist tricks and very creative. One such game required you to synchronize two clocks to show the life cycle of a bird. The left clock shows changing images of a birds life, and you drag tiles to the clock on the right to create a matching life cycle.
The Collectors Edition has 20 Morphing Trick Cards, Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Videos, replayable Mini Games, Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This story reminds me of the Winchester Mansion, a house under constant construction, staircases that lead to nowhere, twists and turns that shouldn't be there, and even hidden rooms, all because of one woman's obsession to continue building, because that's what the house wanted! Dark Dimensions has put their own twist on the Winchester Mansion, with the Barton Manor located in Whispering Hollows, a house that continues to grow, because the voices have commanded Martha Barton to do so! Your parents were Dark Dimension investigators who disappeared while investigating this possessed house, which has just claimed your sister as it's latest victim! Can you and your partner, Rocky, rescue her from this evil Manor before it's too late?
Who's Rocky? Your best friend, a Siberian Husky who seems to have enough energy for this case and a few other haunted houses. DD has done a remarkable job with this character, very realistic, fluid movement, and just the right amount of puppy charastics to make you fall in love, and want a Rocky of your own. It really annoys me when games can't quite pull it off and animals walk sideways, or they have jilted movements. There are Plus indicators for some of the inventory items requiring you to interact with the item or combine the item with another inventory item. Your smartphone is where you will access all your notes, and objectives as well as access the map which is located on your phone as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes, yes there are a bunch, and yes, some of the scenes are repeated, but they are extremely interactive list finds, with lot's of puzzles and clues held within. You can opt for a Match 3 game. The Mini Games are also in abundance, and range from simple puzzles, such as turning disks to complete a picture, to elaborate more in depth thinking games. I enjoyed most of the games but if I have to choose my favorite, it would be re-creating pictures by using various paints and stencils, in the correct order. I also liked the game that required you to use directional arrows to move a flame, which would move until it hit something in that direction, making sure that the flame touched several symbols within 6 moves. I only wish that game had several more sections that became increasingly more difficult.
The Collectors Edition has Achievements, Match 3, Wallpapers, Concept Art, a Developers Diary, Rocky's Room and Collectible Paw Print Coins (which allows you to buy items for Rocky), Morphing Objects, Music, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This murder mystery scenario went a little too far when the host himself ends up dead, Dead Reckoning style! Who's responsible for Reginald Greer's demise, his spoiled daughter, a son with daddy issues, one of the guests, or maybe even the butler. Did he use a candlestick in the dining room, or a rope in the kitchen, wrong game, my apologies. Time to dust off your Detective's badge and get to work in this Who-dun-it mystery.
First things first, examine the victim using your trusty Detective's Kit. Clues are given as to the correct item needed to get the job done, and then you use those items to do a thorough examination. Your Evidence Board will contain all the information and evidence you collect during your investigation including bios on each suspect you interrogate. Once again you will have to determine if the suspects are being truthful, trying to deduce whether or not they are lying, using your Deduction Dialog feature. Some of the inventory items will have Plus signs indicating further action is required before using such as combining that item with another inventory item or solving a small puzzle. There are 42 Collectible Tarocchi Cards hidden throughout the game as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes are are mostly interactive list finds with the final item described in a riddle form, but there are Silhouetted shapes combined such as a horn plus a horse to represent a unicorn. Each HOS has a Morphing Object, and there is an alternative Bubble Shoot Game available. The Mini Games are decent, some simple puzzles to assemble, others more complex. My favorite one was dragging various lengths of colored tiles around on a grid until they were in the position shown in the clue given.
This Collectors Edition has Movies, Music, Wallpapers, Making of, Bubble Shoot games, replayable HOP and Mini Games, 42 Hidden Tarocchi Cards, 15 Morphing Objects, a Souvenir Room, Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

I had to pretend that this wasn't the fourth installment of House of 1000 Doors, it's not a horrible game, unless you compare it to the other games in this series. Remember the fantastic graphics that were so realistic? Remember the clever Morphing Objects, and all those doors within the House of Lancaster? What have they done? I'm devastated! Unfortunately, if you want to enjoy this game, you're going to have to pretend that this is just another game as well!
The House of Lancaster has allowed Emily, the last relative, to enter it's doors and not a moment too soon. A strange meteorite has targeted this small town, spreading a virus that is affecting everything, including the House of Lancaster! Emily has a special gift that she wasn't even aware of.......until now, The Hand of Light. This gives Emily all the power she needs to rid the town of this evil virus which requires you to click on the entity and drag the cursor over a series of shapes, to activate the Hand of Light.
There are 48 Evil Faces to find, one in each scene, when you find the Evil Face the Icon will light up on the inventory bar which will help you remember which scenes still have a collectible. The problem is, if you don't find the Face before leaving a portal, you may not get the chance to return and therefore lose an Achievement opportunity. Emily has a sidekick, her clever cat, Ayra (after the demons have been expelled) who is ready, willing and able to assist you in places only a cat can reach. There are Plus items as well which require some type of interaction before using that inventory item such as solving a small puzzle or combining that item with another inventory item. There are a couple of things I did notice about this game, not every task is logical so you have to think outside the box at times, and most of the items you find in a scene are used almost immediately within that same scene.
The Hidden Object Scenes are progressive Silhouettes, requiring you to find one item that matches the silhouettes shape shown, and then use that item within the scene to expose the next item and so forth until all items have been used. The Mini Games are typical for this dev, such as swapping train compartments with different spacings so that each row will make a complete train set when combined with the trains at the bottom of the board.
This Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Achievements, Cut Scenes, Collectible Evil Faces, the Making Of, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I've always wondered if there was a game that offered a ton of mini games and puzzles as the main theme, and tah dah! Eden Hunt has been invited to a scavenger hunt by an unknown person, the prize is $10,000,000, so naturally she cannot refuse. Once on the island, you must solve a series of riddles, puzzles and games. Totems with Orange eyes requires you to complete a brainteaser starting out at 50 coins, every wrong answer causes the prize amount to spiral downward. The questions are tough, mathematical questions such as, if a boat traveling 9 miles at 9 miles per hour, and a macaw is zig zagging the boat at 34 MPH, how many miles is the macaw traveling. Totems with Red eyes require a challenge such as using flashlights to light every square on a grid. To open portals you will have to solve a game which is a variation of "Blocks" that get increasingly harder with every portal. This is a great game if you are looking to challenge your brain, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

As with the first game in this series, there will be people who adore this retro game, I just couldn't get into the game. My biggest problem was not knowing what to do next, and the help icon simply tells you how to play the game. You must move the characters around a grid formation type board either with the mouse or the keyboard, and you must stay close to the robot or his remote control won't work. There are potions to collect, experience and weapons, and whenever you come across a book, it will allow you to save the game at that point so you won't have to replay the game from the start, which is a good thing because the introduction is about 15 minutes log (tons of dialog) Whenever you come across the enemy, you must choose which weapon to use and on which enemy you want to use it. You can choose Easy, Medium or Hard modes of difficulty according to the amount of ease you wish the enemy to invoke.
I don't recommend this game.

Emily and Patrick are engaged! Now to break the news to Patrick's overbearing mother and hope she takes it well! This is clearly one of the best Time Management series out there today, with so many variations available it's impossible to become bored. Emily runs a small cafe, while Patrick arranges flower bouquets, even Emily's mom helps out by busing tables after the diners leave. Emily prepares the food (usually a combination of at least two items) and serves refreshments, as well as collecting money at the cash register for her restaurant as well as Patricks flowers. You can purchase upgrades with the money earned to buy more tables and chairs, or items that will help keep the customers happy and more patient. I really like the Quest feature, if you accept, you can earn more money such as clicking on several mice that pop up all over the screen in addition to serving all the patrons. This is the type of game that will have you playing over an over again as you achieve to get a better score, enjoy!

Wow! What an unexpected diamond in the rough. I love the dark creepy vibe centered around a town consumed by darkness, and shadows that steal people who dare venture into the night! This game isn't going to win awards for the best graphics, or phenomenal features, there aren't even any "frills" What the game does have is an exceptional story, original puzzles and some not so logical or typical tasks to complete. The game is dark, but not too dark, creepy, but not too creepy, just the right amount of entertainment, and certainly worthy of a coupon.
The Hidden Object Scenes are interactive list finds, some items tend to be small but they are still recognizable. The Mini Games are really fun, I haven't found myself frustrated with any so far. There is a pixie? or some kind of mystical helper you befriend that has a magic ability to levitate some items that are out of reach, although he doesn't get everything out of reach which is kind of confusing. If you like dark, somewhat creepy games, and you can overlook the lower quality of graphics, give this game a try, it may just surprise you as well, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Twins, Danny and Daisy found a lost diary which spoke of a land far far away. The Rainbow water fountain was the life force of this land, which was guarded by 4 magical statues and crystal balls. These statues didn't do such a good job guarding the fountain because a dark evil force destroyed the fountain, and scattered it's pieces across the land. Somehow the twins manage to scamper off to the land far far away......and opened a Sushi Restaurant????
This Time Management game has lot's of bright colors, the customers look like leaf pixies all dressed up in red green blue and yellow outfits. The first employee you hire to help resembles something off of a sponge bob cartoon. The sushi is large and cartoonish, leading me to believe that this is a TM game designed for young kids, but it seems too difficult for kids to master, yet too easy to satisfy adults.
This is a typical DD type game where you click and drag the customers to their seat, prepare the correct food, serve the food and collect the tips they leave. As you progress, you are tasked with making combos, or even seating the customer in a color coded seat. There are items to purchase in the shop that will help keep the customer happy and patient, add extra chairs or extra plates which allow faster service which equals a happier customer. Every level has a set of goals to achieve, and more and more side items and drinks are added. There are mini games also available and again, they appear to be geared towards a younger crowd.
I don't recommend this game.
