This is a decent Time Management game with some interesting tasks, I loved the turtles and crabs that shoot up in the air at warp speed when you click on them...I don't know why they do it, or what its purpose was but it entertained me lol! I don't really "get" the concept of gifts in this game they seem out of place, but then again so do giant wheels of cheese and rocket-flying turtles! The one feature that totally annoys me is all the tasks with several exclamation points, they are really distracting and sometimes cover other tasks you are trying to click on.
You can play in a Relaxed, Casual, or Expert Mode, and there is a Game Speed slider that can be set from 50-150%. I do like the fact that you can switch between modes easily. You will be tasked with clearing roads, finding Messages in a Bottle, collecting wood (from dead trees or platform resources that regenerate) removing piles of sand, filling pits, destroying Venus flytrap plants, collecting crystals, building farms, workshops, etc., and of course, collecting berries from bushes or wheels of cheese (hope that cheese is okay after sitting out in the sun all day?) Bonuses are available after a short recharge, such as Work Faster or Speed Workers, and there are Speed buttons to collect along the paths as well. (because the Gods thought it was funny?)
They ditched the Strategy Guide several games back to opt for a feature that uses a blue arrow to point to the resource or task in the correct order. (only available in the SE version) Most Time Management players only use a SG when they can't earn Gold after a few attempts and only use it to point us in the right direction. I thought I'd give this a try on one of the levels and I followed every blue arrow correctly but failed to get gold on 3 attempts. When I gave up on the arrows and did my own thing, I got gold on the first try!
Collector's Edition Extras: 5 Bonus Levels, 1 Super Bonus Level (Super Bonus Level is also available in the SE version) 9 Wallpapers, 6 Movie Cutscenes, and Hidden Puzzle Runes (also available in the SE version) that allow you to complete Jigsaw Puzzles -Pearl Hunter, Gotcha!, No Lunch Today, and Toreador (all jigsaws available in the SE version except Toreador) 23 Trophy Achievements (also available in the SE version) a Blue Arrow Strategy Guide (sort of?) a High Scores Leader board per level or game total (also available in the SE version) Basically, if you have to have wallpapers and a few extra levels then the CE is best, otherwise, you get most of these features in the SE version for half the price!

At first glance, I thought this was going to be a new HOPA by a new developer. Once I started playing, I realized this was just a HOG, but it is more of a hybrid because it's more than just a HOG... yet not quite a HOPA, from the same developer who created the Big Adventure: Trip To Europe series. To be honest, I bought this game elsewhere last week and it is a pretty short game (it takes about 2-3 hours)
What I like the most is that the HO scenes take place in an entire room versus on a table or shelf in the corner of a room. The story is told via text and there are no voiceovers, but the devs did an excellent job incorporating the "case" before and after each scene without bombarding the player with a ton of dialog boxes on a clickfest that never seems to end.
The HO scenes are played in a Relaxed Mode, there are no Timed options as you search for 12-16 Items. The HO's vary with Listed Items, Silhouetted Shapes, Logically Related Pairs, Multiples of the same object, Find & Replace, and even Descriptive Finds where you find objects that match a brief description. Some of the objects are well-blended but for the most part, they are easy to spot which isn't necessarily a bad thing, sometimes I just want to enjoy the game and relax.
My only complaint is that several scenes had multiples of the listed item, such as a HAT, or KEY RING, and when you click on a large hat in the forefront of the scene you discover it isn't the correct "hat" which drives me nutz! Fortunately, there is no Misclick penalty! Also, they have slightly "off" items such as a "feeder" instead of a birdhouse, or a "wheel" instead of a tire...and I had to google "aerostat"
Items in "pink" text are hidden in or behind other objects (a magnifying glass appears over these areas) and items listed in "green" are objects that require a task. Each scene has two Zoom Zones that will appear and disappear as the objects shown on the list are found or added.
Each HO scene has a hidden Raccoon (developer's mascot) and a Silhouetted Shape to find for extra points. Once the Silhouetted Shape is located, it can be viewed by clicking the "Extra" tab, oddly, it is considered an Achievement. You will earn a Bronze Star for completing the Hidden Object location, a Silver Star for finding the Silhouetted Shape Extra, and a Gold Star for finding the adorable Raccoon.
After each Hidden Object Scene, (some of which have a secondary HO in a different form, immediately afterward) you will play a mini-game, such as Rotating & Placing Fragments of a picture, Finding Matching Pairs of Footprints, Rotating Ring sections, Following a path that lands on each house only once, Swapping & Rotating honeycomb-shaped puzzle pieces, Placing shaped puzzle pieces, and even Spot The Difference scenes.
COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS: 18 Wallpapers, 20 Music Soundtracks, 8 Bonus Levels, 8 Extra Puzzles, a Hidden Raccoon in every HO scene, a Silhouetted Shape Achievement in every HO scene. As I said earlier, I purchased this game way cheaper so the game was well worth it for me personally.

Completed Game in approximately 4.0 hours (CE version) (including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter) 18 Scene Locations +7 CE Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate
Detective Agatha has certainly made a name for herself after solving crimes in London, Munich, Vienna, Dublin, Budapest, and Paris. Her expertise in Dark City crimes will soon become an International reputation when her services are requested to investigate some very unusual cases in three of the World's largest cities. These are no ordinary crimes, a Phoenix has been sighted setting fires in New York, London is plagued with paranormal monsters, and statues are coming to life in Paris!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects: Normally, this developer has some of my favorite collectibles and morphs. In most Friendly Fox games the collectibles are opaque and can be challenging to spot, (I LOVE the opaque collectibles) and their morphing objects are really good because they are not so-obvious objects like windowpanes, weather vanes or building decorations and adornments. (one FF game had a morphing moon if memory serves me correctly, genius!)
This isn't the case this time! The CE Collectibles are 2 large beige-colored playing cards that can't be overlooked and the morphing objects are just additional objects added, such as a large planter. All I had to do was look for something that didn't quite match the scene's color scheme to spot them within seconds which has never been the case with this developer's games...HOWEVER, with Ukraine's current situation, I can certainly understand why their creativity was stifled, and why they need to get their games back into production! I have and always will stand with Ukraine, therefore, I definitely stand with Friendly Fox!
The CE version has 50 Morphing Objects and 50 Collectible Playing Cards that are used in a card game after completing the set. Each scene has 2 of each and there is a pullout tab on the left side to help you keep track of them (a feature I do LOVE)
Gadget/Helper: Detective Agatha has two Gadgets at her disposal, a Journal and the power of Deduction! The Journal is used to collect Evidence which is done in the form of a mini-game requiring you to correctly place characters' photos onto the correct descriptions of events that took place (drag the photos from the top of the page to the blank sentences to fill in the gaps of the story with an actual name)
The EYE DEDUCTION is made to draw a conclusion by playing a quick Hidden Object Scene where you are tasked with finding 4-6 pieces of evidence. Afterward, Detective Agatha recreates the scene of the crime, followed by a reenactment video clip to fill you in on the story.
Hidden Object Scenes: The Hidden Object Scenes tend to be a bit dark, but otherwise decent. Besides the repetitive Hidden Object Scenes associated with the Eye Deduction Gadget and several smaller zoom zone HO's, they vary with Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pairs, Placing Items into the scene, and one where you place Zoo animals into their correct habitats. Some of the scenes uncover objects that are required to overcome a task, such as uncovering several silver keys required to open a locked box, and some HO scenes have quick puzzles to solve.
Mini-Games: Most of the mini-games are doable on the first attempt, and I wish some of them were a bit more complex. I love games where you have to swap fuses by following tangled, color-coded wires that match the top & bottom colors, but this particular game simply required swapping the fuses until they all lit up. Another game required selecting two different flame emblems that would join two halves of an image and the goal was to find the correct 2, but the matches were all directly opposite instead of being randomly placed :(
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only) You will play one of my favorite characters from the first chapter, Lieutenant Liz Brooks as she investigates the disappearance of the Treasure of the Maharaja during a charity auction, and of course, everyone is convinced that the ghost of Maharaja is responsible. There are 7 Mini-Games and 9 Hidden Object Scenes, including the Evidence Journal Mini-Game and Eye Deduction Hidden Object Scene. In reality, there are several tasks that may be considered a mini-game by some, such as entering codes or matching pairs to remove them. You will continue searching for the final 14 Morphing Objects and 14 Playing Cards which allows you to play a card game against your villainous opponent.
Collector's Edition Extras: 8 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art Pictures, 7 absolutely beautiful Screensavers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 34 Movie Video Cutscenes, 25 Achievements, 19 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 12 Replayable Mini-Games, 50 Collectible Playing Cards (play a card game when the collection is complete) 50 Morphing Objects, 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Christmas Wonderland marks the start of the holiday season for me every year because It isn't Christmas until Christmas Wonderland arrives! This game is part of my holiday tradition and I look forward to it even more than I do the Christmas HOPAs. There are a lot of new features so Ho Ho Ho, and off we go... Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen...Now dash away, dash away, dash away all, to the computer to play the greatest game of all!
You can play in Casual, or Challenge Mode, and the CE version includes an Extreme difficulty mode, which is a Timed Mode requiring you to find all Golden Angels and Santa's Lost Presents, with an Eagle Eye to earn all three stars. There are 20 Achievements to earn and 16 Christmas Decorations to purchase and decorate your Wonderland House.
Each Hidden Object scene has about 12-14 Listed Items to find, items in Red are hidden in or behind something, and items in Blue require a task such as dragging a carrot to the snowman's nose. There are usually two Zoom Zone Areas in each scene, the zoom zones (indicated by twinkling stars) may come and go, depending on whether or not the items are available on your list yet.
You will earn a Bronze Star if you complete the HO scene, a Silver Star if you complete the HO scene and find all Golden Angels OR all Santa's Lost Gifts, and a Gold Star for completing the HO scene and finding all Golden Angels and Santa's Lost Gifts. When all of the Golden Angels have been found, the doors will close on the Icon on the bottom left by the Inventory Bar. Santa's Lost Gifts are shown as Silhouetted Shapes within the Snowglobe and Santa's Sleigh will appear to indicate all items have been found. There is also a Snowman hidden somewhere in each scene!
Some of the Scenes have a Photo Opportunity Icon located somewhere within the scene. (16 Total) Once you find the icon, you can click on it to add the photo to your Photo Album which can be viewed by clicking the Camera icon located next to the trophy icon on the bottom left of the screen.
My favorite part of the HO games by this developer is the puzzles that will make you feel like a kid on Christmas morning playing them! After each Hidden Object Scene, you'll solve a mini-game or puzzle such as placing those infamous puzzle pieces into a map of the North Pole, Rotating Square Puzzle Tiles, Jigsaw Puzzles, Word Search, Matching Pairs, or Spot the Difference.
Collector's Edition Extra's On the CE version, Bonus Levels have been incorporated into the main game scenes and have Gold Rosette Ribbons to identify them. There are 18 Wallpapers, 20 downloadable Music Soundtracks, and 48 Replayable Mini-Games and Puzzles. CE Version Mini-Game Extras: ❆-8 Jigsaw Puzzles ❆-8 Flipsaw Puzzles ❆-8 Rotation Puzzles ❆-6 Spot The Difference Puzzles ❆-4 Concentration Matching Pairs Puzzles ❆-6 Word Search Puzzles ❆-2 Shaped Jigsaw Puzzle ❆-3 Map Puzzles ❆-2 Trivia Games ❆-1 Find & Replace Hidden Object

When I saw the 3 screenshots above in the synopsis, I thought the developer was finally offering pixel art pictures that included the background! Turns out that the entire first chapter only has 1 image with a background, the rest were the same little pictures in the center of a grey page. I would have purchased this game if I thought that more pictures were like the ones shown but I have my suspicions that most images are small and boring.
This is probably why the developer never includes an option to look past the first level of pictures...it's bad enough that we can't choose any picture we want to color in any order but why on Earth can't we at least see what's in store for us? I love computer jigsaw games but there's no way I'd buy a game that doesn't allow me to see the pictures, not to mention that there are always going to be images that don't appeal to someone, can you imagine being forced to complete a jigsaw you don't like just so you can get to one that does?
One of my biggest complaints with Pixel Art is that it's so hard to find the current numbered cells because the grey-highlighted cells are the same color as several other numbered cells and for the life of me I can't understand why other cells are highlighted in the same shade? All this could easily be solved if they just added an option to choose your desired color for highlighted cells. They have this option in other painting games by this developer so why don't they offer it in Pixel Art?
There is no Cell Counter feature and no Hint feature either which is pretty standard in most Pixel Art games. I find the lack of simple "comfort" features to be unfathomable at this stage, especially when every other pixel game has at least the basic features!

Completed Game: Nope, couldn't force myself to play past Chapter 5 8 Chapters +BC: 26 Main Scene Locations +9 CE Bonus Chapter Difficulty: Beginner (possibly Intermediate)
"Do Games, the masterminds behind the sensational Twin Mind series bring you a Hidden-Object Adventure like no other with Twin Mind: Nobody's Here!"...masterminds behind the sensational Twin Mind Series? Have they seen the ratings, 3.4, 3.0, and 2.7, they are dropping faster than the US stock market! "Death is in the air" alright (their words not mine!) This story reminds me of the serial killer, Ed Gein, you know, the one who said...it puts the lotion on its... (did anyone see that movie? Did anyone else feel really sorry for that adorable little white powder puff dog?)
I made it to Chapter 5 and just couldn't force myself to dig up another object (which never seems dirty btw) find another battery, inflate another tire, plug another steam hole, use a makeshift handle, use another two-pronged fork, pick a lock with a safety pin, swap with a statue, and believe it or not, I had to play another Hidden Object game on another murder victim's body (I just complained about this on Saturday's Domini Game)
EXTENDED PLAY OPTION: You will come across conversation options that allow you to opt in for extended gameplay. There will be two conversation options, if you choose the first option, it unlocks a side quest with additional scenes, mini-games, and hidden object scenes that aren't offered in the main game quest.
There are only 3 optional quests (in Chapters 2, 5, and 8) that offer 3 additional Mini-games and 3 additional HO scenes in total. The CE Bonus Chapter also has a side quest with 1 extra mini-game & HO scene. These are just optional added content and they won't affect the main game's story or its outcome.
COLLECTIBLES/MORPHS (CE version only) There are 15 Morphing Tobias' Ritual Items, 15 Collectible Tobias' Research Materials, and 70 Zoom Zone Level Access Passes (labeled as "movie tickets on the SG) that are used to purchase 15 Boudoir Items (the Boudoir is actually an office) These collectibles aren't hard to spot and they are getting pretty boring because Domini offers the same amount of the same extras in every game they offer...which is pretty much all of the HOPAs nowadays.
HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES: Boring usuals...find random objects located around a dead body, Listed Item Finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, etc. The problem is they never get creative with the locations, they are always in a closet, on a desk, and apparently always around dead bodies? There was a new kind of HO, sort of, where you had to find and replace items in the correct place according to the photo but it just wasn't very challenging.
ALTERNATE MATCH 3 GAME: An alternate Match 3 game is available if you don't want to play a Hidden Object Scene. Unfortunately, it's the same M3 game, with the same boards, and the same icons offered in every game. Why not at least change the icons or the M3 type once in a while???
COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS (CE version only) 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 27 Movie Video Cutscenes, 38 Achievements, 24 Replayable Mini-Games, 23 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Tobias' Ritual Items, 15 Collectible Tobias' Research Materials, and 70 Zoom Zone Level Access Passes (labeled as "movie tickets on the SG) that are used to purchase 15 Boudoir Items (the Boudoir is actually an office) 8 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

The only challenge here is trying to remember which buttons to click! A simplistic task, such as harvesting coconut trees requires multiple extra steps because you can't just click on the coconut tree to harvest coconuts. I have to click to assign a worker, click to extract the pulp, click to sell coconuts, click to sell coconut pulp, click on how many to sell, click another tab to collect money, etc. There are so many extra steps that it just becomes annoying to play.
As if this game wasn't enough to confuse the most seasoned of Time Management players, they threw in a task that made absolutely no sense. For some odd reason, we need to collect our coconuts and then turn the field into a Sandbox where we can eventually harvest seashells...WHY?
The only feature I liked was finding the opaque Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces (CE version) some of which are hidden very well. If you miss finding the jigsaw puzzle piece you can replay the level to just search for the jigsaw puzzle piece and then exit. As long as you don't click on any task, the original score earned will remain intact and you will earn that level's puzzle piece!
There are only 40 Main Levels in the SE version. The CE version has 5 CE Bonus Levels which are unlocked as you find the puzzle pieces: Level 51 requires 10 Jigsaw Pieces Level 52 requires 20 Jigsaw Pieces Level 53 requires 30 Jigsaw Pieces Level 54 requires 40 Jigsaw Pieces Level 55 requires 50 Jigsaw Pieces
The CE version has 16 Achievements, 5 Music Soundtracks, 10 really boring Concept Art sketches, 50 Hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces, 50 Levels, and a whole lotta cocoa-clicking tasks. This SE version is bare bones with no extras (40 Levels)

"This time you will discover many stories, meet many people of (should be "from" not "of", btw) all walks of life – good, bad, just minding their own business, meet new friends and change the story by making your own choices!"...THIS TIME...Did I miss something? Have we played this game before?
So there I was...I chose the option of "special features only" on the tutorial and when I started the game a window popped up to tell me to pick up the morphing object...while the cutscene was still playing! I couldn't get rid of the popup window no matter how many times I clicked on it even when the first scene finally showed up and the morphing object appeared. I was completely stuck so I started the game over with a new profile after deselecting any tutorial option and it finally worked...or so I thought!
Off to a rough start but now I'm smack dab in the middle of a murder investigation. I had finished all the tasks and found all the collectibles and I chose to "Unlock the Chain" option by choosing the side quest but then I got stuck. The Strategy Guide shows that I'm supposed to get whisked away to scene 2 but I had no idea how to get there. I couldn't even use the jump map because you don't get a map until scene two!
So once again, I restarted the game under yet another profile and this time I skipped the side quest...still nothing happened, still can't progress to scene two. I uninstalled & reinstalled the game under yet another profile and sure enough, this time I was whisked away to scene two automatically so if you experience these glitches, reinstall the game!
After forcing myself to finish the first chapter I exited the game and honestly, I have no desire to go back and finish the game! The storyline is boring, the tasks are boring (how many broken zippers must we endure, how many objects must we pluck out of a crack or fish out of a sewer, how many dead bodies must we play a HOP on?) and the graphics are just blue and unappealing. Some of the mini-games left me scratching my head as to how to solve them logically so can you blame me for losing interest, especially when I had to restart & replay the first scene 3-4 times?
EXTENDED PLAY OPTION: You will come across conversation options, referred to as Chains to unlock. There will be two conversation options, if you choose the first option, it unlocks a side quest with additional scenes along with mini-games and hidden object scenes that aren't offered in the main game quest. There are 4 optional quests per chapter (+4 in the CE Bonus Chapter) which give you an additional 6 mini-games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes total (including the CE BC) To be clear, these are just optional extras and won't affect the main game's story or its outcome.
COLLECTIBLES/MORPHS (CE version only) There are 14 Morphing Crime Photos, 14 Collectible Foods (wtf?), and 70 Zoom Zone Coupons (that are described as Coupons but clearly say Ticket) that are used to purchase 14 Boudoir Items (the Boudoir is actually a loft) Does anyone else think it's funny that we have asked Domini to change the same ole collectible feature so they started offering 14 of each collectible instead of 15?
HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES: The Hidden Object Scenes include a HOS where you click the correct chain of events being narrated once you find 5 pieces of evidence. I must say that I was quite impressed with one of the side quest HO scenes where you are tasked with finding Anagrams for each listed word. I don't remember this type of HO being offered by Domini and I hope they offer more like this because it was really fun trying to figure out the alternative word!
COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS (CE version only) 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 29 Movie Video Cutscenes, 36 Achievements, 22 Replayable Mini-Games, 21 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 14 Morphing Crime Photos, 14 Food Items, and 70 Zoom Zone Tickets that are used to purchase 14 Boudoir Items, 3 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

I remember back in the day when developers still cared about HOPAs, how excited everyone was when BF would offer a shiny, brand-new release from Domini Games. They were just starting out and it seemed like ages between new releases, but we didn't care because we knew it was probably worth the wait, and they were! Eventually, Domini grew to meet the BF HOPA demands, as did their vast library of titles so they no longer had the time to seal every game with a tender-lovin' kiss...and the games certainly reflected this!
We saw the writing on the wall with each carbon-copy clone released, week after week, month after month, year after year. Our enthusiasm waned and fans were no longer head over heels in love (except for 1) with Domini Games. Fans became disgruntled as they experienced the steep decline and Moans of disappointment quickly replaced the Whoo-hoos of yesteryear.
As the years passed, I couldn't imagine a scenario for Domini to regain its Mojo...and along comes Gloomy Tales, one of the best games Domini has released in YEARS! The CE version received 15 Five-star reviews, proving this genre is in their wheelhouse. Clearly, the developers enjoyed creating this genre too because they gave it their all!
After playing last week's mediocre Royal Romances game, I'm even more convinced that Domini needs to drop the Romance/Fantasy genre (for a while at least) and concentrate on genres just like Gloomy Tales. If Domini assigned a special team to work on this Halloween edition, then they need to give those guys a significant raise and have them don their "thinkin' caps" for a go at round 2! If the Gloomy Tales team was the same team that designed all the other Domini games then you may want to figure out why they did a better job on Gloomy Tales. If you ask me, I'd say they are probably just as bored with the same ole genres as we are!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects (CE version only) There are 15 Morphing Halloween Items, 15 Awards, and 70 Circus Coupons used to purchase 15 Circus Tent items.
Hidden Object Scenes: The Hidden Object Scenes were varied with Progressive-Interactive Silhouetted Shape Finds, an arcade game where you shoot matching targets, one where you drag polaroid photo's with a missing portion over a wall of snapshots until you find the missing section, Silhouetted Shapes to find among several arms & hands adorned with tattoos, Multiple's of descriptive objects, (4 people with purple hair, etc.) and one of my favorites was finding 2 objects that when combined create a specific type of monster ( ? + ? =werewolf) AND they weren't really obvious objects so it had a bit of a challenge as well!
Alternate Match 3 Game: An alternate Match 3 Game is available if you don't want to play a Hidden Object Scene. Unfortunately, they haven't changed a single feature since day one. The level layout boards are the same, the icons are the same, and the powerups are the same. The levels are always simple rectangles with no nooks & crannies to make the game more challenging, the only benefit is that you can breeze through the M3 game to get back to playing the game itself.
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only) The Bonus Chapter is a stand-alone story but it has the same 2 main characters and is very similar to the Main Chapter's story. There are 9 additional Mini-Games and 5 additional Hidden Object Scenes that take place over 10 additional scene locations. You will continue searching for the final 6 Morphing Halloween Items, 5 Awards, and 9 Zoom Zone Circus Tickets which allow you to purchase the final items for the Circus Tent.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only) 15 Wallpapers, 15 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 28 Movie Video Cutscenes, 42 Achievements, 20 Replayable Mini-Games, 17 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, Extra Side Tasks/Quests available throughout the Main Chapters (to earn points) 15 Morphing Halloween Items. 15 Awards, and 70 Zoom Zone Circus Tickets that are used to purchase 15 Circus Tent Items, 7 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

If you read the heartfelt posts on Grandma Studios' social media pages when Ukraine was first invaded, then you have a better understanding of the devastation they are enduring. Maybe I'm just reading between the lines, but Spindle of Fate seems to have a deeper message this time!
Perhaps the Moral of the story is that no one should have supreme power. Perhaps the Moral is about the threat of using weapons capable of mass destruction. Perhaps the Moral is about allies or protectors of a peaceful society...or maybe it's just a Message about Fate.
When you play this game, I hope you see how hard the developers had to work to create a game during these circumstances. They deserve recognition, whether the game blew you off your computer chair or not, the fact that they created a game during these circumstances is awe-inspiring in itself...thank you Grandma!
HELPERS/GADGET They brought back the Owl Helper which I believed was a key component in this series, he was there from the start, therefore he should always be included. He does flap his wings a lot while in use but he isn't used after the first chapter.
There is a Gadget that is used to enter 3 different worlds on your quest to find the 3 Spindle Parts but it doesn't require anything more than placing 3 pearls, one at a time.
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE version only) Morphing Objects are one thing Granny excels at, they are smaller, not-so-obvious objects that morph at a good rate to make them somewhat challenging to spot! There are 23 Portal Pearls, one that morphs, and one that is static.
There are 23 Zoom Zone Music Sheets (rolled up so that just the end of the paper is visible, a circle with swirls)
There is a pull-out tab on the left that keeps track of the Pearls & Music Sheets found. They allow you to return to the scene to search for missing collectibles after completing the game.
Hidden Object Scenes: (Match 3 Game Alternative available) Most of the HO's are scenes with a story that require finding objects shown as Keywords but there are also Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shapes and Find & Replace scenes as well.
Mini-Games: I gotta give credit to Grandma, some of these games are quite challenging and most are lengthy puzzles that you have to think about, unlike most puzzles that just require swapping tiles or following a track.
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only) This prequel takes us back to the origin of the Spindle of Fate, played as Maestro Rodicas, the inventor of the powerful device that was disassembled in the Main Game. This is a fairly short Bonus Chapter that spans over 6 scene locations, with just 4 Mini-games and 3 Hidden Object Scenes (not including tasks such as entering sticky note codes) You will search for the final 12 Portal Pearls and 6 Zoom Zone Music Sheets as well.
Collector's Edition Extra's: 7 Wallpapers, 7 Concept Art Pictures, 24 Movie Cutscene Videos, 8 Music Soundtracks ♪, 10 Replayable Mini-Games♙, 14 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 13 Achievements, 46 Collectible Portal Pearls (1 Morphing-1 Static) 23 Collectible Music Sheets, 4 Main Chapters (The Call of Fate) +Bonus Chapter (Forged Fate) +Hidden Puzzle/HOP that unlocks once you have completed the Portal Pearls Collection (Different Futures) and a Built-In Strategy Guide.
