I was disappointed in this 5th edition of New Yankee in King Arthur's Court because other than different layouts, there's really nothing different about this game. The graphics aren't stellar, the storyline is weak, and the one feature that sets this game apart from all the other Time Management games, is the excellent sense of humor, but this one just isn't that funny :( You can play in a Relaxed, Normal or Expert mode, (Expert wasn't available previously) and earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze Trophy, and any level can be replayed.
There are the usual Time Management tasks, of clearing paths, harvesting food, cutting down trees, repairing bridges, and gathering other resources. Mana is gathered to allow Mary to cast spells, which give you Faster Workers, Faster growing Crops, and instant Tree regrowth etc. Buildings of various types must be constructed, such as Sawmills and Foundry's, and as you progress, other buildings become available to help you replenish various resources faster, depending on the level goals.
Those dreaded Zombie Skeleton's have returned, (& in level 2 at that!) and if you don't pay attention, they can easily mess up your strategic plans. As soon as they are spotted, you'll need to click on them, which sends John to destroy them in his tight, but shining armor. If you aren't quick enough, workers will get scared off, and all of the queued tasks you had selected previously, will have to be re-clicked, once John has won the battle, and cleared the way.
I've never been a fan of the Collector's Edition version for a TM game. I personally don't see a need for a Strategy Guide, (although, I would love to see some sort of Hint feature added, to use when I'm not sure what I should do next, on occasion) and I could care less about most of the CE extras offered, such as, Wallpapers and Music. I did, however, enjoy finding the hidden Puzzle Piece in most of the levels, which allows you to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle in the Collector's Edition version, but that's not a feature I'm willing to pay twice as much for! I'm still a fan of this series though, I just hope they don't forget the humor that made me a fan, in the next edition.
The Collector's Edition version has 30 Achievements to earn, 26 Movie Cutscenes, 10 Music Soundtracks, 6 Wallpapers, 32 Collectible Puzzle Pieces to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle, 50 Levels + 15 Bonus Levels and a Strategy Guide.

The third time is NOT a charm for this devs games, especially when they don't bother to change anything, again! They just keep offering this same kind of Matching type of Solitaire, which to me, this is nothing more than a Mahjong game with cards instead of tiles. To make matters worse, there is nothing different this game offers than the last Solitaire Beach Season, except the spelling! There's just nothing special going on here folks, it's boring!
You can choose from 9 Tropical themed card decks and 3 different types of face card fonts, and you have no choice but to start the game with a tutorial (at that point you can click on the X to skip the tutorial) Newbie mode allows you to replay any of the 10 levels in a deck as often as you'd like, and Professional mode only allows you to replay the entire 10 level deck. In the case of a perfect score, the points of the current level will be added to the points of the next level similar to bowling.
There aren't many other features, there is an Undo icon, a Mulligan icon and an icon that holds your Jokers at the bottom of the screen. These icons, however, will have to be purchased with the points you earn playing the game unless of course, you uncover special Bonus cards with a star on them. Cards with stars have bonus +499 Coins, a Mulligan's (undo) or a Joker (wildcards) or a Shuffle (shuffles the cards and re-deals new ones) The goal of each level is to remove the Gold cards from the board which will give you the maximum amount of points, even if other cards remain on the board.
I hate that I can't play until I remove all of the cards from the board. This is just another boring, mahjong-bowling type solitaire game that is exactly the same as any other solitaire game by this dev. I just can't give kudos to a dev that never bothers to change any feature or add features that we ask for time and time again!

War raged for an eternity throughout the 5 Realms between the Elves, Goblins, Dwarves, Halflings, and Humans until a Druid appeared to introduce a Peacekeeping Guild. The Sacred Truce was signed and honored by all 5 realms, until now. The Elf King has been attacked and the elves are blaming Humans. As Peacekeeper, you have an almost impossible task at hand, find the responsible party, bring them to justice, and reunite the 5 Realms once more. There's just one small problem, the Elves are evoking their own form of vigilante justice upon the Humans of Saddletown!
I would probably have given this game 5 stars if it wasn't for the "Spells" and the repetitive game that goes along with creating the spell. I've never been a fan of the recipe type games unless you actually have to figure out what goes where and when (vs following a pictured diagram) There are a total of 5 Spells you'll make potions for before using them. (Shield Spell, Sleep Spell, Frost Spell, Unveil Spell and Transformation Spell) most of which are introduced in the first chapter.
The Hidden Object Scenes are decent and located in fairly interesting locations. The objects are easily identified and one object within each scene Morphs (you must click on the morph when it's in the correct form) There are Interactive List Finds, Multiple Item Finds, and Fragmented Picture Finds. You can opt to play a Monaco Card Game where you match cards with identical symbols that are adjacent.
The Mini-Games are just okay puzzles, in my opinion, there's nothing really exciting or new offered. I've never been a fan of Recipe-based puzzles, and the Rune-Spell collection & recipe feature is pointless (you simply can't make a mistake and it doesn't require any skill to complete) There are a total of 31 puzzles throughout the game, and most are re-playable after completing the game (CE feature) Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Spell Kit: click all runes & add the correct potion shown.
2-Click to throw grappling-hook when the target turns green.
3-Choose the correct spots shown as swatches.
4-Follow a pictorial recipe to make a healing potion.
5-Shield-Spell: Drag a line through elements on a Match 3 game.
6-Find and replace 3 items per page during a story.
7-Sleep-Spell: Stop the targets when they are in the center.
8-Find & place elements into the scene correctly.
This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 25 Mini-Games, 17 Hidden Object Scenes (Chapters 1-4) 6 Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes within the Bonus Chapter, 24 Achievements to earn, 15 Collectible Dragon Eggs, 20 Collectible Coins (4 Wheat Coins, 4 Bow & Arrow Coins, 4 Diamond Coins, 4 Gear Coins, & 4 Fish Coins) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

There's nothing better than a Monday morning new release of Fantasy Mosaics. The Penguins are setting off on yet another fantasy journey, this time to an Alien Planet. Let's find out what Mr. Penguin & Lady Una has to say about their adventures.
Fantasy Mosaics has been around for a long time, and I have a feeling that our grandkids will be playing the new releases someday. I would still love to see a little more of a storyline, one that was told a little at a time after each level, rather than just getting a new Garden item. I would also enjoy a few new features added, the locked colors are okay, but surely one doesn't need 29 versions of a game with the same basic features. Fantasy Mosaics is an excellent series though, but I think I enjoy the Rainbow Mosaics games just a tad bit more, because of the ongoing storylines (sorry Mr. Penguin)
The Locked Colors have returned, where some of the colors aren't available until you uncover Keys by filling in certain cells. This feature would be awesome, but it seems to me that the puzzles are far too easy since this feature was added.
They have also added a choice of 5 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy and styles. This feature has been standard within the Rainbow Mosaics series which offers twice as many, including unusual shapes like lego pieces, and they have a solid storyline throughout the game, so FM has some competition. The Eye feature has returned, which allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the lines, and they added a reset icon too.
Fantasy Mosaics 1-4 only offered single colored puzzles, and the introduction of 6 colors wasn't introduced until FM 16, and really with the exception of adding the Stars for not using Hints within the last few games, they are a bit slow to give FM fans new options.
You can earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.
The game may seem complicated if you're new to this genre, but it really is an easy game to learn. There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where numbers can't possibly fit to reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit. Some cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on. There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.
I'm still a fan of the Fantasy Mosaics series, they are always based upon logic, which isn't always the case with similar games. The pictures are always easily recognized and labeled, and they always seem to come up with a wide range of colors, so happy griddling and enjoy!

I really liked Hackamore Bluff, it was a decent game with an interesting plot, although the ending was fairly predictable (but they usually are!) I usually determine the length of a game by the number of pages within each chapter of the SG. Each of the 5 main chapters has an average of 7 pages, the BC has 10, so in my opinion, that's a decent length, any more would just be wasted filler material. There isn't really any "to & fro" back & forthing going on because once you're in a new scene, the tasks at hand are all within that location until you find a way out, at most, you may have to search a prior scene.
The CE Bonus Chapter is a continuation scenario with mostly the same characters and same issues. You will find the remaining 7 Skulls & 7 Morphs within the BC, and there are 3 more HOP's and 3 more HOP morphs to find, and about 6-7 puzzles within the BC as well. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you:
After years of searching, Carlos has finally found what he was looking for, and it was right here in Hackamore Bluff this whole time! Now Carlos is missing, so you hop on the first bus to Hackamore Bluff, but you are definitely not welcome here! The townsfolk of Hackamore certainly have skeleton's in their closets, but it's time to call their Bluff All roads seem to lead to the good town doctor, Emily Lynch... but these roads also lead to the dead!
Unfortunately, we have a Talisman Gadget, in the demo, it falsely leads you into believing that it isn't used that much, however, by the 4th & 5th chapter it is used repetitively, and I became very annoyed with its constant use! There is a mini-game associated with it where you memorize and then repeat the sequence of skulls lighting up on a grid after they fade, which adds more cells each time. In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Morphing Object and each Hidden Object Scene has a Morphing Object, and each scene has a Skull with a MHG Spiral. I will say that by the 3rd or 4th chapter those skulls are very creatively hidden.
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Listed Item finds, but the scenes are clear and most objects are fairly well hidden. There are some multi-layered HOP's, Silhouetted Shape finds, Multiple Item finds and finding and Replacing items in a story. In the Collector's Edition version, each HOP has a Morphing Object to find.
The Mini-Games are in abundance Puzzle-Lovers! (don't worry, there's also plenty of HOP's) Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during and after the demo:
1) Click rapidly to fill the meter.
2) Light buttons shown on the clue, 1 affects others.
3) Move tokens to the slots with matching symbols.
4) Talisman: memorize and repeat sequence after they fade.
5) Select when the balls land in the crosshairs.
6) Select the books according to the clue.
7) Swap books according to the clue.
8) Arrange books to create a complete image on their spines.
9) Slide layers of tiles to create the image.
10) Connect the pairs of yellow symbols.
11) Select squares to enter the correct symbols shown.
12) Swap tiles to assemble the picture.
13) Find and replace items in each scene.
14) Click tiles until a path is completed from end to end.
15) Arrange similar urns on shelves to match clues shown.
16) Slide tiles to form the image.
17) Slide tokens to red dots using bumper tiles as a guide.
18) Connect breakers with the correct number of connections.
The Collector's Edition version has 4 Wallpapers, 3 Concept Art pictures (before/after slider) 10 Music Soundtracks, 10 Achievements to earn (most with Gold, Silver, Bronze categories) 14 Character Gallery pictures, 21 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes (allows you to search for Morps you may have missed as well) 21 HOP Morphing Objects, 29 Scene Morphing Objects, 29 Hidden Skulls with Spirals, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy your walk amongst the undead!

This is a really good game, it's not as good as Wicked Harvest, but the storyline is interesting. I will say that I've had W10 compatibility issues with the last 2 new releases by this dev, but I liked the plot so much, that I used my replacement code to buy this game for my Mac. So I actually bought it twice, which says a lot! This is a puzzle-heavy game, sometimes they are back to back so if you're more of an HOP fan, you probably won't enjoy this game. Personally, I prefer the CE version of this game because I love collectibles, but I will admit that the extra's in this game are a little scarce, they don't even have re-playable mini-games or HOP's! Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you:
Would you like to play a game? Too bad detective, this is a game you have no choice to play if you want to get out alive! One minute you're preparing for a case, the next, you're trying to find a way to escape a labyrinth of locked doors, secret passages, hidden doorways, and clues. Someones watching you, but they have no intentions of helping you solve this riddle because it's their sick, twisted little game! This is their game of death, and they merely want to watch you lose everything for their own amusement, good luck, it's your move!
Yes, we have a helper, no you can't opt to leave him behind, and yes he is that creepy little scarecrow with glowing eyes and a huge straw hat and overalls. He's no "Elf" but he isn't used that much so I'm okay with it. (Tom was an option in the last game) I enjoyed the creative riddle clues, not only within the HOP's and Mini-Games but to an extent, some of the task clues were shown as subtle riddles too. I have always loved searching for the Hidden Owls offered in League of Light CE versions, and although this game still includes the owls, there is only one per scene and the other games always offered two owls per scene, so what's up with that? (another case of Less Is NOT More!)
The Hidden Object Scenes were decent. As you probably know, I'm not a fan of HOP's lately because the items are no longer hidden they just lay out in the open in a huge pile of junk, but these weren't bad. The one I found the most entertaining was finding objects on a bas-relief that matched the description of some very creative riddles! After the demo, there was a similar one with items on a stained-glass window that I really enjoyed too. There are no alternate games available, which personally I'd love the option of playing an extra bonus mini-game or jigsaw puzzle instead of a HOP. I'd also like to see the option of playing a HOP instead of the mini-games, that way fans of both genres would be happy.
The Mini-Games are good, and some of them are also "Riddle" based which I thought was super cool! Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Press down all triangles, pressing 1 may affect others.
2) Rotate boards to recreate the correct image.
3) Turn the triangle eyes correctly according to the riddle given.
4) Use directional arrows to avoid obstacles along the path.
The Collector's Edition version has 22 Wallpapers, 30 Concept Art pictures, 8 Music Soundtracks, 9 Achievements with 3 categories each (including the LOL famous achievement of answering questions about the game), 6 Collectible Character Figurines, a Fresco Puzzle to assemble, 24 Hidden Owls, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy the game, they say it's to die for!

What if there was a device that allowed you to travel back to the past to right the wrongs and change the future. (other than Aunt Anna...think about it lol) What if that device existed, what if that device fell into the wrong hands? That device does exist! In fact, there are several devices that exist that are capable of extraordinary things, and those devices are safely guarded by The Keepers of Antiques! Alexandra Anderson is one of those Keepers sworn to maintain peace and safety throughout the world. The Antique Shop has been breached, and the Time Traveling Device has been stolen. Does Alexandra have enough willpower follow the thief to 1985, without interfering with the accident that took her parents away from her?
Yes, we have yet another Gadget! The Keepers Tool has returned to deactivate or locate Keeper Artifacts, it's used a total of 14 times, 7-8 of which occur within the demo alone! Once again we have the "Loading" page between every zoom zone and new location, although they don't linger nearly as long as they have in the past, it's still annoying. If I had to guess at why this is the only developer that has this feature, I would say it may be due to the type of graphics used and size of the game because of the graphics, but I just don't know the answer. In this CE version, there are Morphing Objects, Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to find and Collectibles in 5 different categories. The cursor changes to a hand if you come across one of them which makes them hard to miss at times.
There are a total of 20 Hidden Object Scenes compared to 25 Mini-Games making this game fairly even and should please fans of both puzzles and HOP's. There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds. Progressive Finds, and Keyword Finds. There are several smaller HOP's that EleFun always includes, where you are tasked with finding 5 Fragments located within the entire scene. Some of the HOP's have a small puzzle to solve, and there is an alternate Mahjong Matching game as well.
There are a total of 25 Mini-Games ranging from easy to medium in difficulty, most are just variations of older type puzzles. Some of the HO's have small puzzles to solve, but nothing to complicated. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap image fragments to complete 3 portraits.
2) Complete those portraits by placing correct elements.
3) HOP puzzle: Rotate tiles to complete a continuous path of pipes.
4) Select fragmented symbols to recreate the symbol shown.
5) Place shaped pieces onto the pipe when the fire goes out.
6) Run over figures with the correct cube side using directional arrows.
This Collector's Edition version has 9 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Gallery pictures, 3 Screensavers, 21 Music Soundtracks (that's a lot of antique music!) 16 Achievements to earn, 31 Morphing Objects, 36 Jigsaw Puzzle pieces (reveals character's past with each puggle completed) 31 Collectibles in 5 categories (6-Old Good Hilltown, 6-Mad Scientist, 6-Young Keepers, 7-Christmas Spirit, 6-Legendary Artifacts) a Keepers Room (complete each collection to reveal the information about the plot) 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide.

This has got to be the most complicated game I've ever seen in a simple game of Mahjongg! In all fairness, this is my least favorite genre, but now and then an interesting version comes along, this isn't one of them! One of my favorite Solitaire games is made by this dev, but since then, they've veered off-course to introduce games that are so complicated that they just aren't fun.
You can choose your Resolution preference, 11 different Mahjongg tile sets including Traditional, a Domino Style tile, and a Playing Card Style. You can choose from 11 different Backgrounds, and I must admit, they are simply beautiful, I especially loved the Cherry Blossoms and the Rose themes. There is a 3D view available and an Auto-Zoom feature to enable as well. The Mahjong games are available in a Casual Mode which gives you more Time, or a Classic Mode which requires a specific number of Bonus Symbols (earned after each successful level) to unlock levels.
There are 3 Different Mahjong Categories available, Parade Mahjongg, Classic Mahjongg and Duel Mahjong. Within each category are several variants, and each variant shows a preview picture. You can earn up to 3 Bonus Symbols per level, and there are Icons available to Repeat your Move, an Undo feature, a Mix feature, a Hint feature and a feature that allows you to Darken unplayable Tiles.
Bottom line is that even if you are a Mahjongg fan, I think you'd find that there's too much going on to make this a relaxing game.
I don't recommend this game.

Sugar Crime has finally made its way to the pond, I'm not a fan of the "cutsie" Match 3 type games, although this one may be more relevant as a phone game to occupy some free time. In fact, most of the M3 games offered by this dev are actually fb apps.
The tiles are big and quite colorful, as you'd expect in a candy-sweets related game, but the twangy music is horribly annoying and I had to turn it off, a feature that rarely bothers me at that! You begin the game with Tutorials that can't be opted out of, at least I wasn't able to find one. I hate it when tutorials force you to use a booster they have just given you or force you to make a specific match just to show you how the game works.
One of the biggest drawbacks these games have for me personally is that you can't continue to make consecutive matches back-to-back. You have to wait until all the tiles finish falling before you can continue. Once you complete a level, any unused moves will be added to the board, and you have to wait for an eternity as the game finishes out all the possible moves and the boosters and power-ups explode before the score tallies up. Then you have to wait again, as the game moves on to the map section, adds the star scores to that particular level icon and hops to the next level icon. This doesn't allow the game to flow in my opinion.
Large matches will earn a Bonus Icon to the board, and these bonuses can be combined to make a larger explosion. A M4 gives you a color-specific Super Candy to wipe out an entire line. A M5 gives you a Rainbow Cake to remove tiles of the same color matched with. A T or L shaped match will give you a color-specific Candy Bomb to explode and destroy adjacent tiles.
Boosters will be unlocked as you progress, and must be added before starting the level. You can purchase multiples of the Boosters, but generally, they give you the first one free. You can add +5 moves or activate Boosters such as Color Rifles (collect bullets from the board, what do bullets and rifles have to do with candy?) or Candy Canes to remove candy obstructions.
This just isn't the kind of Match 3 game that interests me, but I'm sure many will enjoy the colorful, lightheartedness of Sugar Crime. You can also play this Limited Moves Match 3 game in a Relaxed Mode.
I don't recommend this game.

Welcome to Chessland Alice #4 (sounds like a perfume doesn't it) The world behind the Looking Glass (aka mirror) is war-weary. The Red King and The White Queen have been waging war against each other for as long as anyone can remember, with little to no regard for the pawns they put in harm's way. The White Queen may have an ace up her sleeve with her unstoppable Jabberwocky Dragon, but the Red King may have the Queen in Check with his own secret weapon, Alice. She may just be a pawn for now, but soon, she may just fulfill the prophecy, and become the Red Queen!
I loved the Morphing Objects available in this Collector's Edition version because they are small items that don't stick out like a sore thumb. The Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces were the same way, which makes them harder to spot, you can even opt to disable the cursor from changing to a hand when you scan across them. There is a pull-out tab on the left that tells you how many are in each location and how many remain. I also loved all of the items you could interact with in each and every scene. Flowers and vines jiggle, glowing thingamabobers do their thingamajig (yes, that is a real word in HOPA land) dohickeys doodad, gismos combobulate and discombobulate, whatchamacallits perform whatchamacallit wonderwizzles, where's an Oompa Loompa when we need one?
I wasn't thrilled about the Gadgets, they were unnecessary and cheesy. The first gadget is a Compass to find objects in a scene, however, the objects could clearly be seen w/o the compass so why include it? You also collect Coins throughout the game that are used to buy items from Mrs. Sheep (not-so-little Bo-Peep or the not-so-lost Sheep?) traveling Merchant. She even gives you a tiny bell to summon her (she must have bionic hearing or at the very least Miracle Ear) yet another worthless feature...everyone knows the object you need is always lodged within a billboard, stuck inside or atop a tree, guarded by an animal, usually a bird/nest, or deep within a sewer drain, right?
I actually thought the Hidden Object Scenes were more interesting than the Mini-Games which is rare because I prefer puzzles over HOP's! The scenes themselves were located in interesting locations with really creative objects. I especially enjoyed the Humpty-Dumpty scene where you first had to select the words to finish his riddles, then find several Multiples of 4 categories and finish up with Keywords in Sentences. There are also Interactive List Finds and one where you had to find 8 Silver Objects.
The Mini-Games are just okay in my opinion, nothing that stands out, nothing really new. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap puzzle tiles to recreate the crown.
2) Find objects described as Keywords to uncover code numbers.
3) Select Matching symbols for each token.
4) Find the objects shown on a compass that can be seen w/o?
5) Use the map to navigate while searching for items to help you progress.
6) Select adjacent areas to paint by selecting a section then color.
This Collector's Edition version has 11 Wallpapers, 16 Concept Art pictures, 5 Screensavers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 20 re-playable Mini-Games, 13 Hidden Object Scenes, 36 Movie Videos, 20 Achievements to earn, 42 Morphing Objects, 45 Collectible Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to buy 6 Character Chess Pieces 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy your journey Through The Looking Glass!
