The mountain town of Glockenverk is in the grip of a dramatic and deadly cold spell. Set out with your trusty feline friend, Mr. Jenkins, to crack the case!
I love Mr. Jenkins, and thought it would be as good as the previous games but it was not. The main game was short and the bonus game was ridiculously short. Also, the story was just ok, there weren't very good puzzles, the game play was not smooth, nothing was worth the CE price tag. Get the SE on special. I can't recommend the CE version, it was a big let down.
This is their 5th sequel and there is still no option to skip the tutorial, it's totally unbelievable. If you don't do what the arrow tells you to do it stays up the entire time with a box below blocking other parts of the game, hello, if we have played the other 4 games, don't you think we know how to play it by now?!!. This is why it only gets 3 stars. Other than that the game would have been 5 stars. I will recommend the game but have fun being annoyed the first few games.
The Good: Great game, loved the characters! Good gruesome story, the characters were creative and something new for this type of game, good adventure there were a lot of places to explore with a good map for jumping. The puzzles were good and varied. No super puzzles though :-( Overall a great game. The Not so Great: Hops were not great, but when are they ever great? Not much interactivity pretty minimal, so that wasn't fun. There was too much talking that you could not fast forward from, you were forced to listen to it talk very slowly which was really annoying. The characters were conquered too easily with boring typical games that I'm getting tired of, they had such great characters they could have gotten really creative with that but didn't. The Ugly: Really short Bonus Game and this to me makes it not CE worthy. I wish I had gotten the SE instead of the CE. So I have to not recommend this CE game, but definitely get the SE!
This was the worse surface game out of the bunch. Gameplay was poor, not smooth, and a short game. One super puzzle that was the only fun thing in the game. Graphics left much to be desired. This was a boring and lame adventure game without the adventure.
I love all the old Dark Parables games, I loved that they were long game play, excellent adventures and had good Bonus Games, then they got worse and lost my interest. I bought the SE version of this game and was pleasantly surprised that I like it. It was a good length (but could always be longer) the art was great, game play was smooth - everything worked as it should, puzzles were interesting and some difficult. There was a lot to do and places to go, and an excellent map. The hops were ok, same as usual but it would be much better if they updated them and made them interactive. As of now they are boring and monotonous. Maybe the games being released lately have been way too short and lame so this game although good seemed better than it was.
Glad I used a free voucher on this game because it's one of the shortest games I've played in a long time. Cute game would have been more fun if I didn't have double cursors the whole time, no matter what I did it wouldn't work right. Other than that it would have been fun and have gotten 5 stars for Fun Factor. If this game was twice as long it may have gotten 5 stars (if the cursor worked right) Hops were interactive and not too much but not enough puzzles, I hate match-3 games so the alternative was worse. Good adventure, lots of places to go and things to do. Excellent map, thanks! Glad I didn't buy the CE. I have not recommend game due to the negative factors were huge. But if you have a free voucher it's a good one to use on.
I don't recommend this game.

Subliminal Realms: The Masterpiece Collector's Edition
Albert's worst nightmare becomes reality when a creature from his grim paintings kidnaps his family. What does she want?
I made the mistake a reading the reviews too early and read some of the negative reviews that were totally Wrong! I have no idea what they are talking about, this was an awesome game, super long and lots of creative and fun things to do, places to go, very creative. Excellent map to make it easy for you when you have a bag full of items and don't know where they need to go. A bit too much talking but if you get into stories it's ok. The helper was ok, wasn't needed. Hops were interactive and had some variety, a bit too many of them for me, I prefer puzzles but at least they weren't just a bunch of boring junk piles to drive me crazy. I wish I had bought the CE.
I have no idea what made me buy the CE version, I must of been desperate for a CE game. There were way to many junk pile type hops, very boring, no interactivity, this ruined the game for me. Puzzles, nothing special. I hated the fact every time I get to a new scene or complete something this side bar pops out twice and you can't do anything until they are both done, this continues throughout the entire game, ugh. There is a glove you have to continually wait for it to charge up then you can click on it and play the same lame puzzle over and over again. This is ok for a free game voucher for the SE version, but even then it was a chore to finish.
I love MCF games because of their special puzzles and they delivered in that respect of the game but this was the worst story of all the MCF games. I'm tired of these characters and would love for them to create a new original story with their special puzzles. For the love of their puzzles I recommend the CE game because they have great ones in the bonus game too.
This was a fun and long game with so many fun puzzles and unique things to do and a fantastic story. I really loved this game and the designers really cared about the story, the uniqueness of the puzzles and there is just so much to do and places to go with wonderful characters. The bonus game was normal, not very long but the main game is very long and wonderful. You could easily just get the SE game and you would be satisfied but if you like the story and game play you will like the bonus game, it's just a bit short.
