The graphics are beautiful When you think you've opened up all the available scenes, you find even more.... this game is full of adventure It is not too easy and not too hard It is longer than most Some of the HO scenes are association matches - and it's the one drawback to the game -- many are quite a stretch, but it didn't ruin the game for me. The mini puzzles are a tad easy but the game is so enjoyable, that it didn't bother me that much I highly recommend this one.... Enjoy!

This would be a great game for youngish kids who don't mind halloween spooky stuff. But for me, too heavy on the hidden objects and the puzzles are wayyyyy too easy. I will recommend it because it's a good game for kids, but it just isn't for me.
The Void army stretches its hungry arms towards innocent villagers. Harness the power of the elements to protect the kingdom and bring peace back to the land!

I was so engrossed in the game, that I was shocked when the trial was over. As soon as I'm done writing this review, I am going to purchase this one.
The graphics are beautiful. Other's have described the gameplay (sparkles, loading between some scenes, etc.), so I won't go into that. What I will say is that, even with the sparkles, there is plenty to figure out... and I'm thoroughly enjoying doing so.
There is more adventure than HO and a nice mix of puzzles.

I'm usually pretty easily pleased and like many other games that others do not... However, this time, others seem to really like this one, and I just... don't.
STORYLINE: It's "ok" - I figured out the plot "twist" way early in the game, which ruins it for me. Also, I really disliked the ending... I'm a proponent of "leave no man behind" but, oh well....
MAP: NOT interactive... Sometimes tells you where things need to be done; sometimes not. And the game has you doing a LOT of running back and forth up and down over and through, so an interactive map would have vastly improved the gameplay.
HINTS: Only work in HO scenes
HO SCENES: ALL of them are junk piles with blur & bright haze obscuring objects. I don't mind things being cleverly hidden, but I really H8 junkpiles. Also, for my taste, there are far too many HO's -- I prefer puzzles and adventure games with just a few HO scenes here and there.
PUZZLES: I've seen them all before and many are repeated; however, they are a good challenge.
OTHER: Have to wait on elevators (and they're slow).... The hint button quit working for me completely near the end of the game.
LENGTH OF GAME: Average
I'm glad I bought this as a DD and can only recommend it as such.

I loved this game.... It is nice and long and worth the price of the CE, as the Bonus portion is also lengthy... much longer than most CE bonus chapters, which only last 45 minutes to an hour. The puzzles (my favorite part of any game) are either totally different, or a variation of old favorites which makes them more challenging and much more fun. I really enjoyed this. There is quite a bit of running back and forth, so if you totally dislike that in a game, then avoid this one. Also, there are more puzzles than HO's, so if you're more a fan of HO's, try another game. ') But I highly recommend "The Last Performance" to anyone who loves puzzles and adventure.
The entire town has been put into a deep, dark sleep by a mysterious evil force. Now young Lillian must find allies and uncover the dark secrets of voodoo in order to save her master and free her friends before it is too late.
ESPECIALLY loved the ending! It's a cliff-hanger to be sure, but leaves me anxious for the sequel.... Can't wait!
The only thing I didn't like about the game is that the puzzles were far too easy.... but the HO's get more challenging as you go along. Seems they should've been equally challenging.
I love the "spells" you learn and use throughout the game and the various dolls and concoctions you need to assemble. There is no annoying diary, but a clear task list and a very helpful hint system.
I enjoyed this game a lot and highly recommend it. It is a nice length too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! ')

I really enjoyed this one.... a good challenge that won't cause you to tear your hair out but will make you think a good bit to puzzle through to the end. The artwork is absolutely fantastic... beautifully done. I did not find the end to be abrupt as another reviewer said -- it just left you looking for the sequel, which I will be.... I definitely recommend this one... enjoy!

And really nice length - especially for a Daily Deal... I've played CE's that didn't last as long....
This has more HO's than puzzles, and I do prefer puzzles, but the story drives you to the end.... only to find there's more to come, and I cannot wait!
Only drawback for me is the usual junkpile HO scenes.... Ugh. However, they are clearly drawn... no blurriness or dark corners, which I truly appreciate.
I very much enjoyed this game, HO's and all. If you dislike paranormal themes or hints that act pretty much like a strategy guide, then you won't like this game.... However, I appreciate an SE that I don't have to leave in order to look up the blog strategy guide when I get stuck.
The puzzles make you think but are easily solved.... Again, I'm not a big fan of frustration.... I like to puzzle things through, but don't like it to take forever with repetitive actions that eventually bore me to tears.... None of that in this game.
There are two modes of play if you prefer a greater challenge....

Great story with a nice twist.... No monsters, no blood, no occult theme - which stories I don't mind, but they have truly taken over this game genre IMHO.
The game is not linear, so there is a good bit of backtracking to do, but never very far thanks to the platform which takes you from floor to floor.... never more than 3-4 rooms.
I loved the clockwork mechanisms in the game. All HO scenes were the kind where you find "types" of items.... which I much prefer. I must admit however, I had to resort to the hint a few times! The scenes are all the "junk" type, but very clearly drawn and no inappropriate items that don't pertain to the time-period or story line.
Puzzles are repeated throughout game, but fun. For the brainiacs, they were quite easy -- I had no trouble with any of them.... but they were still quite enjoyable.... I really liked this game and I highly recommend it.

It would have been nice to have a walkthrough a couple of times when I got stuck wondering what to do, but I somehow muddled my way through and eventually figured out the two places that confused me....
Pros: Story - a nice little fairytale complete with witches, trolls, fairies, elves, ogres, giants, and even mermaids A very different mode of gameplay - you have to figure things out as you go and you ride a unicorn around a map of the kingdom on various quests Kids who love fairytales will really enjoy this one (but might need a little help from Mom or Dad). However, I must confess I enjoyed it too ;); Fairy/book was very helpful in figuring things out - so if you get stuck, check the book by clicking on the fairy
Cons:
Having to get gold at casinos -- a lot of time is wasted on the one-armed bandit getting the gold necessary to get past bandits - I would have preferred a puzzle rather than casino-type slot machine It would have been nice if the map was interactive to get around quicker -- click on where you need to be and then ride the unicorn there rather than having to click a few steps ahead all the time Although the game itself was a good puzzle, most of the mini-puzzles were way too easy.
I rate this a high 3 (so it's closer to 4 than 3).... or a solid 4 for kids.
And if you're a kid at heart yourself (like me), you will probably enjoy it yourself. ;)
