I love this series, Redemption Cemetery. It's always so thrilling and keeps me on the edge of my seat. You are enlisted to aid a reporter who is on scene at the cemetery and at the hands of a madman. You must rescue the lost souls and save yourself while avoiding the demands of a crazy man named Simon. You are given a portal to go to the worst day of a poor soul's life to change the course of his life and save his love. And then, suddenly, the demo is over, leaving you wondering, 'what was that?' The fun factor remains a 5 for me, as I was on the edge of my seat for the demo. The visuals were well done of course and the scary factor is top notch, but the music was overpowering and almost didn't fit the theme. The level of challenge for me was right on. The only lacking was the storyline, which I found a little confusing, as to who this 'Simon' fellow actually is and why he wants to take souls. Revenge is the only answer of course, but perhaps the storyline could have been a little richer. A good storyline, should give me that wow factor to want more and see how it ends. All in all it is a very good addition to the series, and one I think folks will enjoy. Thanks. Mia :)
I loved the demo so much, I had to buy it. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and just when I thought they were getting away...crash! You assist park rangers in a missing persons case and end up being dragged down by monstrous, magical vines. How will it end? I'll let you know. The visuals are very well done and the music is perfectly matched, right down to the opening credits by one of my favorite developers. The storyline is good and has really yet to be revealed, but gave me enough to want to know more. The challenges were just right for me and I'm excited to see more. Thanks. Mia :)
This is a solid 4 star game to me, with the exception of the storyline, which I found to be very well done and anxious to find out it ends. It seems there are four sets of cursed armor that were made years ago, donned by 4 knights who want their King to come back to life. They terrify a family hunting for the son who's blood they need to bring the king back. Your job is to investigate and discover the secret to defeating them to save the family and the town. While I'm not a fan of using pets or creatures to 'help' me out, Mr. Jenkins, the cat, was not used very much in the demo, so it wasn't too much of a distraction. There were only two HOPs in the demo , no challenge there, and there may have been one too many 'story boards' for me. All in all a pretty enjoyable game. Thanks, Mia :)
Loved this game, from my favorite developer, EIPIX, so I had to purchase it. From the opening credits to the end of the demo I was on the edge of my seat. The master detective is called to help a friend from the Dire Grove story and gets caught up in a mystery that makes everyone in the town grow older in moments. The visuals and music are very well done and the challenges are just right for me. The storyline leaves me wanting more at the end of the demo, so I'll let you know how it ends. I totally recommend this 5 star game. Thanks, Mia. :)
EIPIX does it again with another exciting installment of the Hidden Expedition series. I loved the demo so much, I had to buy it on the spot. The H.E.L.P. team is commissioned to find a stolen giant black pearl, not realizing the thieves are still on the property. You must battle Ninja's and fly to Japan where you parachute onto the rooftop of a well-known criminal and retrieve the pearl. The fun doesn't end and kept me on the edge of my seat. The visuals and music are superb and moves with the amazing storyline, while it crescendos with perfect timing. The challenges were enough to keep me nervous about my time, but not enough to frustrate me. This is a 'great' game and I can't wait to see how it ends. Thanks, Mia! :)
Magic lovers will appreciate this facet of the game as you are immersed in a pure fantasy about black magic trying to take over white magic. You are even given a fowl-feathered friend, that you may name, to help you. There is lots to do in this game to get you where you need to be as a renowned healer in the realm preparing potions to keep the dark seeds at bay. The music is fantastical and grand and the visuals are fairly well done. The fun is predictable and the challenges are pretty easy. The storyline is simple and a bit far-fetched for me, but again, I'm not a fan of the magic games with fantasy friends to help along the way. I recommend this game to beginners and some intermediates. All in all it was amusing, but not my cup of tea. Thanks, Mia.
I am really loving this series by my favorite game developer EIPIX. A rare meteor is stolen by a gentlemanly thief, hired by the evil Red Queen. The detective, young Hawkes, is pretty much on his own this time, except for the help of a mystery lady who saves his life, more than once in the demo. The storyline is intriguing and held my interest throughout. The attention to detail was very well done, as usual with this developer. The demo is downright fun with enough challenge to keep you excited and wanting more. The best part to me is, of course, the storyline, and the music compliments it just right. This is a must buy for me and I highly recommend it. Thanks, Mia. :)
I loved the demo of this game. I think it's probably even better than the last installment of the Hidden Expedition series. An artifact that holds the key to the location of an underwater paradise is found and then stolen from the H.E.L.P. team. They have the coordinates but the demo leaves you wanting. It's an exciting combination of the team racing against time to follow all the clues and get there before someone else. Great fun that is challenging and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The storyline is the best part and believable. I'm grateful that the HOPs and mini-games were relevant to the story. The music crescendo's at the right time making this a great game that holds your interest. I recommend it to all players. Thanks, Mia.
I loved the first in this series and bought it right away. This is a must have for me, too. The story is so engrossing, I forgot what time it was and was disappointed the demo was over. Adam Wolfe is a supernatural investigator on a mission to find his sister who disappeared two years ago. She is somehow involved with a 'timeless' group. I love how the series begins with Act 1 and this one begins with Act 3, so the story continues. The visuals are very well done and I like that there are several items at your disposal, like a revolver, a GPS, and a cell phone. It's very realistic even though it involves the supernatural. Adam is very determined to find his sister and the way the story eases him into tasks is very well done. There are some challenges that I had to figure out, but I eventually got it. The music is perfect to build suspense and the storyline encapsulated me and brought me into it. I highly recommend this very unusual game. Thanks, Mia.
This is by far the most unusual game I've played, and I see this style becoming the wave of the future. The fact that the lead is played by a male is a plus for me. The action forces you to jump right in and tackle problems as they arise, with no time to back out. I love that. The story unfolds as you go, so you do not have to spend a lot of time reading, you just learn as you go. The game is just plain fun and challenging, too. I love the storyline of this male lead as a detective of the supernatural and the fact he has been searching for his sister since her disappearance. The actor who plays the role uses inflection in his voice and convinced me he was really there. The sound is great and lifts you up as you go through the demo. There are not a lot of HOPs or mini-games to distract you during the demo, but they mesh nicely with the things you're given. This is a must buy for me and it's not even the collectors edition. I cannot wait to see how it ends. Thanks, Mia.
