Deep in the heart of an enchanted forest, a forbidden love blooms. Guide the human Eveline as she sets out to rescue her beloved from the clutches of a tyrant.
I enjoyed this game. The graphics produce a busy and beautiful environment. You are transported to a wondrous world, delve into a desparate search for your love and meet magical creatures along the way. The 70 memos you are to find give you a deeper understanding of the story and gameplay. Some may not appreciate the amount of reading. This is predominately an adventure game with some simple and fun puzzles thrown in. (The absence of HOS is a bonus for me.) I played on Expert and still it is not difficult. Mixing potions is an added pleasure. There is a travel map that shows active tasks, unless you choose to shut it off. Unfortunately, there are no achievements in this CE but it has a great, pre-main game Bonus Chapter. I found this game to be cute and entertaining.
Enjoyed playing this game. Very fun SE. There are charming comic-like graphics. Character VO's are well done to match the atmosphere. HOS are come in two types. One is quite standard but clear and easy (the way I like my HOS). The other is referred to as Detective mode where you have to fill in the list by locating evidence in the scene. Puzzles are pretty easy, very do-able. There is a travel map indicating active tasks, depending on which mode you choose. However, it directs you to an area rather than an exact scene. Not overly challenging but an entertaining game. It's a keeper.
Terrific! First of all, I love the graphics. I like being transported somewhere completely different, away from realism. The story is fun, interesting and integrated well with gameplay. The game is not overrun with HOS and they are quick and easy. The puzzles are fairly easy also but some are like arcade-type mini-games. Lots of fun. The real challenge is finding what to use where. which for me is a nice change of pace. I think I have an area clear only to find something I am missing. There is a travel map that indicates active tasks (except in Bonus play but not needed). There are many extras including achievements, collectibles (26 skulls) and an unfortunately short Bonus Chapter. Really, everyone should try this game. Very entertaining!
Confront an ancient evil and uncover your true! After a startling revelation changes your world forever, you must embark on an epic journey to save mankind.
I like this game. It has nice graphics and well done VO's. The story is good and keeps you interested. The HOS are clear, not your typical jumbled mess and there is not too many of them. The puzzles are average difficulty. There is a jump map that indicates active tasks, so no wandering around. That said, I don't think this is a worthy CE as I missed having achievements and collectibles. It does offer a Bonus Chapter but still I found the game a bit short. Decent all around but I wish I'd waited for the SE.
I recommend this game!

Loved it! The graphics were unique, bright and beautiful. Gameplay was so fun and the story was wonderful. The VO's were well done and sometimes humorous. I have to admit part of the appeal was there were no HOS in this game. A nice change of pace for me. However, you were always searching for items. All the puzzles were varied in difficulty but I managed to get through all of them. A travel map showed active tasks. You were also informed when an area was complete. There were a ton of achievements to collect which was nice to see in a SE. You even get some companions to help along the way. Fun and somewhat challenging. Hours of delightful entertainment. Glad I didn't miss this little gem.
I just finished playing this game for the second time and I have to say it is a terrific SE. Graphically it is creepy and attractive all at once. Voice-overs are well done. The story line and gameplay are integrated well. There are not too many HOS. They are crisp and clear making them fairly easy. And if you prefer, you can opt to play Monaco rather than HOS. The mini-games are fun and do-able. There is a map indicating active tasks (even in Advanced mode). It doesn't allow for travel but the back-and-forth is not extreme. In addition, there are many Achievements. And I can't forget our helpful little friend, Miles the monkey. This game is well worth it. Very entertaining. Great replay value. Can't wait to see what else these Developers have for us.
This is a very nice, relaxing game. Sometimes that is exactly what I want. The graphics and VO's are well done. Gameplay is smooth and integrated well with a good story. There is not a lot of challenge but I did find a couple of the puzzles hard. HOS are clear and quite quick and easy, which I like. There are 3 modes of difficulty to choose from including the option of whether or not to utilize the map and to what degree. I played Casual and had a map that indicates active tasks. So if you want more of a challenge the option is there. The CE offers many achievements and 3 different collectibles: crayons, toys and letters. There is also a bonus chapter. I enjoyed this game. Great if you're looking for fun and relaxing experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I overlooked it several times but I'm so glad I finally gave it a chance. The crisp graphics are filled with gorgeous purples. The sounds, VO's, and music are well done. The story is interesting and moves along well throughout. It is not overrun with HOS. They are clear and not cluttered junk piles. All the puzzles are moderately difficult, all do-able. There is a travel map. However, it states that it shows available actions but I didn't find it to be accurate. It was still useful and there is a directional Hint button. This game is also a decent length. Overall, I think it is great fun. Love it!
I wasn't too sure about this game when I started but it turned out to be alright. The graphics are OK. The story is fairly simplistic. The HOS are standard with a little interaction. They are probably the most challenging part of the game besides a couple of the puzzles. There was no map and no need for one. The Hint is not overly helpful but I didn't find it was needed often. You shoot monsters, zombies, vampires etc. to gain Hints. A fun little extra. There are also achievements and sets of items to collect throughout the game which is why it got 4 stars from me (probably a 3 star game). Overall it was a relaxing, easy game to pass the time.
Although it is not one of my favorites, this is a good game. I like it much better than the Vanishing Hitchhiker. The sounds, setting and graphics are sufficently creepy. I enjoyed the story and even though it is a fairly common theme, it kept my interest. HOS are clear and have interactive elements. There is a lamp provided for darker scenes. Puzzles are average, some tedious, all do-able. Some inventory items required extra actions or puzzle solving. For example, you get to carry a casket with you until you find a solution rather than returning later. There is a bit of backtracking and no map but it is manageable. The Hint will direct you if in doubt. Really, all of the elements of a great game are here but, for me, it doesn't quite make the grade. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe because at one time I had 15 items in my inventory or although appropriately dreary, perhaps too much so? Personnel preference, I guess. Anyway, I recommend it's worth a try.
