This is without a doubt one of the most unique games I have ever played. A man has just been made police chief and his "momma" finds out he's on a big investigation and decides since she misses him so much and he won't come home, she is going to go to Italy and "visit" him. Without giving anything away I can tell you that she is one step ahead of her son on the investigation all the way, even though she is constantly looking for him (?). Her comments and achievements throughout are enough to make me howl with laughter (she finds an unconscious man sans clothing cowering behind a barrel and collects his clothes for him so she can question him). The HO's are not in dark, dimly lit scenes, but can provide a challenge to find in that sometimes you have to "move" something else to get to them. The puzzles are frequent (too many for me) and lots I have never seen before. The scenery is gorgeous, the music unobtrusive, and the story line is fantastic. I don't normally play Hidden Object Games because I think about 98% of them are dark, ghoulish and I just don't care for that, BUT, since there are such slim pickings out there right now for anything else, I decided to try this one and I bought it about 20 minutes into the free trial. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
I recommend this game!

First of all I'd like to say that no matter how much I loved another game in a series I ALWAYS play the free trial before I buy ANY game. Sometimes I don't like the next one. That being said I have found ALL of this series to be awesome! I absolutely love this series and wish there were more out there like it. The characters find places in your mind almost immediately and long after the game is done you still think about them...or at least I do. I wish I had a "Joey" to help me with some problems, lo! "no progress"???? Oh my, if that were so, there wouldn't be so many rave reviews, no one would buy these games, and the developers would shut it down on this idea! I, for one, highly recommend this game!

I am soooo sick of the monsters and ghouls I found this game to be so totally enjoyable! What a wonderful break from all the stress of daily life, plus the above. It wasn't a "click fest" and I found if I ignored the time limits and just played at my leisure, I wasn't penalized in anyway I could see and I simply went on my merry way trying to get the lady and her cat home. It had some challenges along the way, but nothing that wasn't easily overcome. I thought it was a great game to play before going to bed (didn't give me any nightmares like some have)! I could leave it and pick it up when I chose which I really like. The characters, along with the scenery and cartoonish style, were funny and entertaining. Each segment introduced new characters so I never got bored with it. I totally recommend it and NOT for kids, but for adults, who like me, want to have a little fun and entertainment in their lives and games!
I recommend this game!

This was the first time I played this type of game and I was totally enthralled! Tom is lost and his big sister is on an adventure to find him and in searching for him she has to go through these magic paintings. I really liked the "fill in the circle" instead of a list on the bottom of the screen. That way I could look at the shape of the item instead of having just a word to go by. Storyline is "ok", but a little boy running around loose in a group of magic paintings, not afraid to keep going? Really? The scenes are clear, bright and detailed. Not many dark/black areas u have to search. Went through some great scenes, difficulty wasn't too bad (for me, a beginner). But her attitude through the whole story is so "happy go lucky" it made me a bit ill by the end when she met a real life vampire and was all "oh gee, oh gosh, a real big bad vampire"! Faces a cave in where she is trapped in the vampire's crypt and merrily goes about her way. Ummmm? So no, the storyline needs work as far as I'm concerned. For a first timer, the challenge was good, but the fun of jumping into a painting and the wonderful visuals was great for me. U should try it and see what u think, I bought it and I'm not sorry.
I recommend this game!

I was really leery of this game at first because of the picture on the cover. I thought it might be one of those, let's see, take your choice, gory or hogs. I don't mind the hogs as long as they're not full of doom and gore. It just seems like there's been months of those! This game was SO refreshing, so different, so intriguing. Just as you think it's about to end, it goes on and on. I never got bored! I played for 3 days! Some of the levels took me between 15 and 20 minutes a piece. But I was playing on relaxed mode, which is where I like it. I absolutely LOVED this game. I checked but I saw no indication of another along this line, but surely they can come up with one!
I recommend this game!

The witch who has this little shop up for sale wants to sell it to this adorable little one who doesn't quite have enough money yet, so she lets her have it on credit. The way the monies are collected at the end of each round is as novel as the rest of the game! Certain things you offer for sale in this little shop have to be replaced, but not by you, they are replaced by a not-so-adorable monster, who never misses his "Q". From Phoenix whose tail feathers you must pluck to the "special" plant you must water to get to grow so your clients can buy it, this game is chock full of original ideas from beginning to end. If it's not your cup of tea, at least try it for an hour to have your "belly" laugh for the day! However, it gets challenging pretty quickly so don't get too comfortable!
I recommend this game!

I actually had to look at the title of the game again to be sure I was going to review the right game after reading the other 2 reviews I saw as they didn't seem to resemble the game I have at all. The "star" of the game is a young girl who is a seamstress with some magical devices as well as qualities. A present from her grandmother is stolen and she sets off to find the present. She has 2 mannequins who are key figures in the game also. They get stolen (story line sort of breaks down here as I am still not sure by who or why), as well and she travels to find them. The graphics and music are good in this game. She has to make money so she sews clothes for people who come to her different shops. Things in the different shops get upgraded by you as you go along. As the game progresses you have more and more clients and the magic devices that you acquire from the attic provide things to add to your clothing, such as sashes, lace, ribbons, etc. I thought her sense of humor in the things she says at times was amusing; the inventions she acquires were very different and quite in keeping with the story. By the time you get to the end, trying to keep up with all of her customers, the additions they want to their clothing, and their temperaments (some of them are VERY impatient and will walk out if you don't cater to them) provides a challenge. I have played this game over and over and still enjoy it. I would advise you to play the free trial and make up your own mind about this one.
I recommend this game!
