This is one of the absolute best games I've ever played. Graphics are crisp and stunning, great story, challenging puzzles, various types of HOG's, and so immersive I played straight through in one sitting, which I rarely do-like to play over a few nights to make them last. The opening scenes had me hooked. The drive through the Redwood Forest in the very beginning was so fresh and beautiful, I felt like I was there. The artists did an amazing job with the use of light and shadow in this game. You felt you were in that forest after a rainfall with the sun rays coming down-it was so lovely. Absolutely LOVED this game; one I will replay several times! Definite buy!!!
I recommend this game!

Wow, did I whip through this one...took just over an hour. I liked the other two games that were similar to this from the developer; good to play when you're not in a mood to get too involved in a game.
The names were too silly...wasn't Mongo that big goop in Blazing Saddles? "Mongo wants a better game." lol
I had high hopes; but it was super short, and you ended up playing the same locations, which were few. The graphics were ok, HOS very easy, puzzles ok, nothing new or too challenging.
I did have a glitch on one location where the location itself was blacked out; could still see the inventory, and magnifying glasses on the screen, so I was able to blunder my way through it by trial and error.
The other reviewers do a more indepth look at storyline and all that. I just want to say, glad I used a free code...just not enough 'oomfph' for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I am about halfway through the game; used my monthly code on it after only 10 mins of demo. I'm actually quite enjoying it. There are a lot of HOS, very few puzzles, which this blonde won't complain about, lol, and it is a bit dark, but that fits the story. I think the dark, the rain, the graphics in general, make this immersive. The journal isn't very helpful, but you don't really need it. No map, but again, once you've finished a location, (which includes several places to visit) you don't return. Not too much backtracking, which I like. Give it a shot, I'm having fun with it. Make sure you click the ghosts that pop up during your HOS; once you do, you can get the shape for the items in the list.
I recommend this game!

OMG...I was SO impressed with the quality of this game; the graphics are so stunning and detailed, it's as if I was there, wandering the web covered streets of Andville, dodging that gorgeous but deadly woman in black and her 8 legged minions. I applaud the designers vision and artistry in this game. The story is unique, the characters fun, (I got a kick out of the bumbling firefighter# the mini games original, and the HO scenes had just enough challenge. The other reviewers go into more mechanics and detail, but I wanted to make sure it got 5 stars from me! This is definitely one of those games I will replay several times. I HIGHLY recommend it! I hate spiders, #but not as much as bees) but didn't mind the ones in this game. The absolutely gorgeous scenery, interesting objects and spooky atmosphere ease the fear! Definitely worth the price!!!! Thanks, BF! Something super awesome to tide me over until MCF in November!!! =-)
I recommend this game!

I bought this without the trial because I love the Hidden Mystery series and out of all of them, only disliked one of them. This game is nowhere near the quality of their previous games. The graphics are grainy and cartoonish. The HO and mini games are way too easy. However, the footage, music and photos of Elvis are great for his fans. But I'm so disappointed in the actual quality of the game. I know other reviewers will get into all the mechanics and details. If you're a Hidden Mysteries lover like I am, you may be bummed at the poor quality and low challenge.
I recommend this game!

I played this when it came out and have played several times since. The graphics are stunning, the characters in depth and interesting, the plot unique and intriguing. This is one of the most immersive games I've ever played.
You play Kate Walker, an American attorney sent to a small village in France to wrap up a deal involving the sale of a automaton toy factory. You end up traveling to Russia and meet several great characters along the way. Your companion is Oscar; one of the most endearing robots you can imagine. Kate deals with an obnoxious boss, a selfish mother, a best 'frenemy' and becomes a different person by the end of the game. The second Syberia was just as awesome. They say trilogy here; didn't know there was a third! HAVE to look for it!!!
Overall a great adventure game; no hidden objects, but plenty of challenging puzzles and use of wits and logic. I will definitely play this several times again in the future.
I recommend this game!

I played the trial first, then bought the game, based on how beautiful the graphics were. You play as Fellina, assisting Santa's elves to help rescue Santa, who's been kidnapped by the Ice Elf. It takes place in Finland's Lapland, being Finnish myself, that was a selling point...=-) Here are my comments:
Music-beautiful. Selections from the Nutcracker
Graphics-dreamy and clear, beautifully rendered
Gameplay-relatively easy to follow; not many places to go to get lost.
Hints-The hints during regular gameplay were useless; all they did was remind you of your task; they did not point you in a direction or show you where things were. The hints during the H/O scenes were fine
One H/O screen toward the end was messed up; most of the screen missing. I did try rebooting and it was the same.
Length-very short. I finished in less than 2 hours
There were a lot of H/O scenes, but very few mini games, and those were very simple.
The end came too quickly and was unspectacular.
I think this game would've been so much better had the developers added more time to it; adding more to do, more places to go. But it was beautiful. I would recommend it if you have a game credit to burn.
I don't recommend this game.

This is from the trial only: but I am downloading the full right now. The graphics are a little grainy, and in H/O scenes, some of the objects are right on the the edge of the screen, and easy to miss. The story is unique; another twist on time travel. The music is James Bond/spy movie quality, but gets repetitive. The hints/skip recharge quickly, but the puzzles so far aren't too difficult to solve. This is not a CE, but what I consider a good 'filler' until the next new game. I would recommend it; it's fun so far.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game as a 'quick sit down' type game; it's got beautiful, colorful graphics, good sound effects and cheery music. The H/O scenes are pretty, altho a bit cluttery, which makes the game last longer, and the mini puzzles are super easy, and 'skip-able'. For someone who loves the challenging H/O adventure games, this is a nice break. Upbeat, pretty scenery, all in all a fun Christmas game to relax to. Merry Christmas!
I recommend this game!

I'm currently playing the trial; will use my game credit to 'buy'. The graphics are ok, music, sound ok# The voices are really the only thing about this game I can't stand# I muted them# The wraith is spooky and the story is unique# This is a H/O adventure with a lot to do, but not too much challenge# The puzzles are medium challenge# I would recommend it as a 'filler' until the next big game# =-)
I recommend this game!
