I CAN NOT BELIEVE this company has cheated its extremely loyal fan base AGAIN with not offering profiles. I love this developer, agree with Penmom that it's one of the last good ones out there, but I don't understand why they have continued to do this despite our pleading in reviews. I will not pay CE price for a game to play once as a CE only. As usual, their graphics are lovely and this game looks great, so I will most likely be checking out the SE. I am so incredibly disappointed. If I have somehow missed the profiles somewhere, I do apologize, but I looked before and after game and did not see them and they did not automatically pop up. I only played the first couple minutes. I will let others do rest of review; just wanted to warn on profile issue. Is there any hope on this site anymore?

WOW. There will be some groaning among the fishies on this. I think PlaySkool designed this game. It looks to be for elementary kids; it is VERY basic; no profile, exact same format as the other games like these: do a screen, then a cheesy, over the hill mini game, (this offered M3, Spot Diff, Jigsaw...yawn) It had zoom in screens that sparkled just like everyone else's...Only thing different is the coins; there are 3 gold coins to collect each screen with which you get to .... wait for it...decorate your 'house'! I will defend HOG's if they're good because I also enjoy playing those when I can't concentrate on a HOPA, but there have been too many flooding this particular market and the quality is laughable. Maybe some will like this game or have younger children who would, and I absolutely do not mean any disrespect, but PLEASE demo before you even waste your points or 7 bucks. I couldn't make myself go on after 1 screen.

I, like a lot of other reviewers, buy these without the demo. I love the impossibly bright and cheery scenes and, because I'm a geek with no life, I remember the names of the characters. LOL Other reviewers have gone over the mechanics, so I won't repeat them here. My only complaint is that I wish there were more scenery scenes and less scenes on the ship. I was so excited to see they were going to Norway, because it's never in games, but there was an issue on the ship and they skipped it. As for the reviewer that thought you could do nothing to find the trash/collectibles, hit the mega hint, and it shows you everything. Another fun trip, I'm heading back to the ship now. Bob, Mary, Mike, Emma, Dion and Alexis are waiting for me at the nightclub! =-)

I could probably just sum this game up with 2 words: "What The???" As other reviewers have posted, this game is straight out of a better-left-forgotten-time warp. Horrible graphics, useless and confusing dialogue, (and a lot of swearing) obnoxious characters...and as for them, I found I didn't like either of our hapless honeymooners. The wife is best described as a word that rhymes with 'witch'. The husband acts like this whole misadventure is just irritating-he makes the statement, "this satanic stuff is really getting on my nerves." ...he's been told his wife will suffer/die if he doesn't follow the challenges offered/ordered by their hosts, a couple of well dressed, snobbish ghosts. No idea who they are, why they're doing this...why they targeted this particular couple...and I can't make myself care. Just glad I used the deal and paid less than 4 bucks for it. Please, PLEASE do the trial before you buy...this was, IMHO, one of the worst offerings from BF yet.

Whoa...what happened to Elefun? I only made it about 10 minutes into this game; glad I only did the trial. The colors were so washed out it was hard to see items, the storyline was ridiculous, the games silly. I was so bored after 10 minutes I had to stop and delete. One of the most irritating things is something I'd hoped this developer would've changed by now: that lengthy wait on the black screen ..."LOADING".... for the next screen. REALLY wish they'd get with the times on that issue. Spent as much time with that black loading screen as I did on the game screens. Please try the trial first; I personally believe it's nowhere near the same quality as their previous games.
I have all of Casual Arts games and I love them-this new one too. The scenes are impossibly bright and cheerful and amazingly immersive for a simple game. The HO's are just enough of a challenge, fun mini games, and some recurring characters. Isn't that mom and kids the ones from the Christmas series? Always look forward to the Ranger series; they are so relaxing to play, with beautiful graphics that make you feel like you are there. Only vacations I get to take and I love them. Now it's time for another cruise!!! I definitely recommend for a leisurely experience.

I thought the scenes looked familiar...they are from an old game, "Sister's Arcanum" or something like that, that BF put out a few years ago. This format might have worked with original scenes, but I've played this game before. Not sure why they just grabbed HO scenes from an old game, but I didn't care to buy when I already own the original CE game. Try before you buy. Dark, grainy, cartoony scenes. Not for me.

I love the 3 previous House games and was so happy when I saw this. Glad I bought the trial first. The quality is nowhere near the previous games. The artwork is almost cartoonish compared to the others, the mouse is very slow and the characters have changed considerably in appearance. It says 'tons of collectables' but I found none...if someone sees them, let me know! The guide mentions nothing about them. I quit before I even found a HOS, so I can't review that. The quality and speed were so poor I didn't play past the first 10 minutes. I can't believe how different this is from the first 3 and how poor the quality is on it. Very disappointed. I would recommend the trial before buying!
This game is one of those 'love it or hate it' types, apparently, judging by reviews. I was so-so at first, but then got hooked into it. Still haven't finished and I've been playing for about 3 hours. Every time I turn around, there's several new directions to go. Tons of places to explore and things in each scene. Haunting scenery of ship graveyard very unique to me. There are lots of HOS, which I personally like, the old school type, object list with some interaction. I'm in the dying breed of folks who don't like the new style of finding one object at a time-do something to get the next object! I'm really enjoying this atmospheric game, one I will definitely replay because there's so many screens and things to remember and do. I think it's a great standard edition, give it a chance! Some of the latest releases, #you know who you are, lol# have spoiled us with their glamorous graphics, but this is a great game for a long winter night.
This is another holiday installment from this developer; improved this year, in my opinion. Tons of levels, big, clear M3 graphics, easy to match, lots of power ups, relaxed or timed. I like these for when my brain isn't up for a serious challenge. Good for kids, not 'scary', just fun and slightly humorous. The outside graphics are cartoon, but that's ok; it's a fun little game to play, and each level gets longer and more challenging, but not brain strainer challenging. LOL If you want a relaxing M3 for the Spooky Season, this works.
