I had nearly given up all hope with Elephant Games, but this is definitely a major improvement!
Interesting storyline (three different story challenges), fun puzzles (some quite challenging), game length a little bit longer and no silly airy-fairy fantasy rubbish in sight. I particularly enjoyed the decision making part, which affected the outcome of the story. I went back and played a few different decisions to see what happened and yeh.......I ended up killing someone with a bad decision. Yikes!
I would have given it 5 stars, but there are some bad glitches in the game. It froze three times on me during play and I had to restart the Game Manager. Also, the pointer disappeared a few times and I had to again restart the game to rectify. Sort these issues out, and you've got a top class game!

I will never know how people can get so much gameplay from Elephant Games these days. I barely got to 3 hours, and I played all mini games except one and I purposely played more slowly as I had a feeling it might be short.
I don't have much to say as I'm tried of paying so much money for really short games. I think this is the last Elephant Games game I will buy now, or I might use a free game coupon.
Everyone says to end on a positive note though.......errr....yeh I like the graphics on Elephant Games, clear and well put together. Good mixture of minigames, HOGs and gameplay. Hate too many minigames and HOGs as it makes for very disjoined play, but this had a good amount.
Its such a shame because these games could be great if they were longer. But hey ho!

The idea is great, I love painting/colouring by numbers, but I was really disappointed to see that you have to do colour 1, then colour 2, then colour 3 all in order and it highlights where you have to colour. This is way too much spoon-feeding for me. I want to be able to colour the area I want to when I want to! Sadly I didn't get past 5 minutes before I uninstalled. Could have been great but it wasn't.
I was fully prepared to hate this after reading sunnyglow's review, but actually, its not that bad.
Yes, some will hate it, but I think some will love it. Its a very retro style game, quite dated with no voiceovers, just words to read, and you have to drag the items to use them rather than clicking to highlight it and then click again where you want it to go. The inventory is also at the top of the screen and not at the bottom which I had to get used to.
Personally I love the more realistic style graphics, rather than the very cartoonish, over colourful graphics in some games recently. The dark mood and realistic scenery really gives a spooky feel, and you really feel like you're alone here.
What I didn't much care for was the constant 'commentary' from the main character. He says something after everything you touch or look at....even if you're just picking something up, he says something which is unnecessary. Just makes for slightly slow playing.
I'm only a short way through so can't comment on length of game or developing storyline, etc, but from what I have seen, I will be buying the game and look forward to seeing what happens.
Not sure what everyone else has been playing, but this game is great! I haven't had any glitches and I've just finished playing the one hour demo.
Lovely graphics as always, fun gameplay, BUT I do agree that this new red cross when you make a mistake in HOGs isn't a welcome feature! Just unnecessary and a bit annoying.
As for the non-sensical tasks, who cares!? Just play the game and do the tasks in the order they've been made. and frankly, the placing of the two red valves is not a non-sensical task! You're allowed to place them in the right place when you actually need to! i.e when you need water. Not before when you don't need water. That to me is not non-sensical.
If you're a Domini fan, don't be put off by the bad reviews. I think players should just try for themselves and not be put off by others just because it didn't play well on their particular PC/laptop/etc, or because they think tasks are non-sensical. Everyone has their own opinion I guess.

What's happened to Elephant Games? They used to be fantastic, but I can barely get to the end of the games these days, and I only finish because they're so short!
Some reviewers said they spent 5 hours on it.....really!? I played at a casual pace and only skipped two mini-games, and I was complete in 2.5 hours. The story is confusing too; half way through and I had absolutely no idea what was going on.
Sorry, but I do not recommend this game. The two stars are because I've always liked the graphics by EG and enjoy finding, combining and using objects......that's it.
I'm not sure what's happened to Elephant Games, they've become ridiculously short. I completed the whole game in just under 2 hours. Thankfully I used a free game coupon otherwise i would have been annoyed.
The game itself is okay, but I was hoping for a more spooky atmosphere. The puzzles are quite easy, but that's okay as I don't want to be perplexed for hours. Also, it jumped around too much for me; one minute you were James, next you were Anna, then you were James again, then you're Anna in the past, then Anna in the future. Phew! Majorly confused at the end.
Not one of my favourites by any means, but it killed a few hours. Sorry Elephant!
I used to absolutely love Grim Tales games, but I'm left stunned by this one. I'm literally at a loss for what to say except the story is weird, the whole gameplay is finding missing emblems to place, and I swear this game only took 1.5 hrs to complete! I was just getting into the game as it started to get 'slightly' interesting, and then it ended! Stunned! and very disappointed.
The problem with the people who review a game after just the demo is that you can never get a full sense of the game. This game was great, but.....it was ridiculously short! I completed the whole game in 1.5 hours. The game had such potential and reminded me of the Midnight Mysteries series which I love. Definitely recommend it, but use a free game token because its not worth spending money on. Such a shame!
