I always like to know what you get for the extra money you pay for a collector's edition of a game, so I thought I'd add a little info. The bonus chapter is good, and adds about an hour to an already decent length game. The music is fine for the game, but not something you'd want to listen to on its own, so the soundtrack doesn't add much. The minigames, which you can replay in the CE, are too easy to want to play again. The wallpapers are fine, but too depressing to want to use as my desktop. I only needed the walkthrough once, and could have found the info I needed online. So, in short, buy the CE if you want the extra chapter to play, but probably not worth it for the other extras.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game. As others have mentioned, it was creepy without being really scary. The colors were often bright, which I like, in spite of the story taking place at night. It did take FOREVER to start up on my older PC, but once running, seemed to perform fine. I liked the bonus chapter, but the games were too easy to want to replay any of them, and the wallpapers and music didn't do much for me. Overall, a good game.
I recommend this game!

I liked the first Treasure Seekers, but didn't think it was anything special. This one has more everything. Better graphics, sound, music, and story. There are lots of nice details that add to the realism of each scene. You can tell the developers really put a lot of care into this project, getting everything nicely finished and then some. Just watch the main menu background scroll for a while and notice how things move as if you were really walking along.
I like the characters a little better, too, now that they are a bit older. It feels less like a kids' game and more like one any adult would enjoy, while still being one you can play with your kids without giving them nightmares.
I didn't think it was terribly short, as other reviews stated. It took me 4-5 hours and was very enjoyable.
I recommend this game!

Beautiful marble shooter with nice, subtle music and sound effects. There are no villages to rebuild or silly minigames, just marble shooting done right. Very polished, smooth running little game.
What I really love about this game over Zuma, Stoneloops, Sparkle, and Birds' Town--all of which I own and play--this one I can actually WIN!! It isn't that easy, but it isn't stressful-hard either. It's a nice challenge that keeps you wanting to play right to the end. I can get right up to the very last screen in Zuma, but have never, ever, won the darn thing. I really feel like I accomplished something by finishing this one.
My one complaint, which is very minor, is that I wish you could replay as the same player profile to try to improve your best score. Indeed, you can't even view your previous scores at all.
I highly recommend this as one of the very best of the genre.
I recommend this game!

The game's graphics are very good, the locations are pretty (once the evil is expelled), and the story is kind of good. I love the map that transports you wherever you want to go, especially since this is a pretty large "world".The fairy assistant/hint system is cute and helpful. The only complaint I have about her is that she has a little teeny-bopper voice and after you clear a room she says, "You got rid of all the evil! Yaaay!" The Yaaay kind of grates after a while. Still, there's lots of high points in this game. The music is good, the voiceover (for the most part) is good, and it's pretty long. It took me about 5 hours to play, so I feel like I got my money's worth. The puzzles were pretty easy and there was no option to increase the difficulty, but entertaining enough.
I wanted to mention the bonus features. I love when a standard edition comes with bonus features! There are a few wallpapers, quite a lot of concept art, and a screensaver. You can also replay several of the puzzles. The only technical issue I encountered was after I was finished the game and was checking out the extras. I clicked on Screensaver last, curious to see what it does, and--oh, my goodness--what a crash! My PC kept jumping back an forth between the game and my desktop, making it very hard to even shut it down from the task manager. I do have an older PC, and it ran perfectly up to that point, so I won't fault it too much for that glitch.
Bottom line... Nothing to really write home about, and yet I enjoyed this game enough to run out and buy the sequel. Pretty visuals and audio, decent story, good lenth, and just plain fun.
I recommend this game!

This game was a delightful little surprise. The excellent characters' voices and the writing really brought them to life. It SOOO pays to use real voice actors! The graphics and animations are vibrant and varied. There are adventure elements and a bit of back and forth and remembering where you saw what, which I like, but enough HOS to satisfy most hidden object gamers. There is a story, not just one puzzle or HOS after another, and it has a satisfying ending.
The dog hint system is hilarious--if you click on him, he gets more excited the closer you get to the item. By the time you're on top of it, he's jumping furiously and barking his head off. When you finally click the item, he's visably relieved, then settles back down to sleep. He also kicks and whines in his sleep.
Okay, it isn't the most challenging game I've ever played, nor is it really long #although it makes for a very entertaining few hours#, but aside from a couple of sudoku puzzles, my 7-year old was able to play it after "helping" me through it the first time. A nice game to play with your family.
As an added bonus, even though this isn't a collector's edition, there are some extras included, like concept art and a strategy guide. Really good value for your money. I'm going right out and buying the first episode!
I recommend this game!

Really excellent game in every respect. The story was intriguing, kept you guessing and had you caring about the characters. The locations are realistic and often beautiful. The music was lovely. Lots of animated touches in every scene. A few good scares, and fabulous "camera" angles that rivaled comic books, lending a twisted, off-balance feel. Really wonderful--don't miss this one.

I agree with all of the other favorable reviews but wanted to make it clear that this story draws on the larger world of Oz characters from the many books by L. Frank Baum and his successors. We all know the characters in the movie, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but many people don't know that the movie only represents one chapter in a much larger story with many equally interesting and fanciful characters. Baum was an excellent story-teller who loved entertaining children, but who could also create tales interesting enough to captivate adults as well.
I was fortunate to have had access to some of the original Oz books growing up, that had the wonderful artwork of John R. Neill. Playing this game brought back fond memories of these stories. I started looking for reprints to read to my kids, but am disappointed to report that the only affordable copies available do not have the original color plates placed throughout the story, if they are included at all. Some versions have only black and white illustrations, and some have no artwork at all. At least our library has some Dover versions that I can share with my kids.
Play this game and see if you don't become curious to learn more about some of the characters in it!
I recommend this game!

I thought this would be another decent hidden object game--nice graphics and gameplay but nothing very original. Wrong.
This is a fairly long game, and it does have nice graphics, sound, and gameplay, but it also had a surprisingly good story that really carried me along. There are no voiceovers, but the dialog is easy to read, adding enough detail without being too lengthy.
It is a fragmented object game, so you do spend a fair amount of time assembling things and figuring out where and how to use them. You also have to run around a bit, from scene to scene. I mention this as some people seem to dislike these features. I love adventure games, and enjoy having to figure everything out without too much hand-holding, so this was a win for me.
There is a map showing which locations still need something to be done, and there are good hints if you need a little help. A journal records most of what you find or read, so you don't need to make copious notes.
There are morphing objects to be collected, which I think is fun. I wish they would give you a little treat for collecting them all (like a wallpaper or song), or at least a sort of trophy room where you could look at all of them.
Overall, a really nice, very entertaining game that is, in my humble opinion, a good step above average.
I recommend this game!

I'm always on the lookout for games that break out of the demons/ghosts/insane criminals mold, and this is sure one of them.
The game is long, so you get your money's worth, there are voiceovers (mostly pretty good#, which I like, and lots of silly touches. The game is humorous--definitely doesn't take itself too seriously--the characters are quirky, and it plays like an adventure game. All good.
Now, for the part I didn't expect... It had an interesting story! Rather than merely providing the vaguest of motivations to find objects, there is a story here that has a few twists and turns, and details that make for #but didn't give away) a good ending.
Really a lot of fun, and a game you can play with kids. My favorite thing is the way the characters enter and exit a scene, bouncing along like my son does with his action figures to simulate walking.
I wholeheartedly recommend this game.
