Yes fishies, this game is awesome and well worth playing. This is a true adventure game with plenty to do in each scene. There is:
* Casual, Advanced, Hard and Custom modes of play; * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Interactive map; * Diary; * 14 Achievements; * Find 20 morphs, 20 figurines and 52 herbs; * Replayable HOPs and mini-games to better your time and accuracy.
The graphics are excellent. Colours are vivid and bright and items you need are clear to see and use. Sound is good and the music is fast orchestral with plenty of drama.
The HOPs are mainly highly interactive straightforward, silhouette, finding one item to use to find another and matching patterns to items. Some HOPs even have morphs in them which I liked. I loved doing these and thought some of them had a good challenge to them.
The mini-games are really fun to do. Some of these are quite challenging. My favourite was the checkers game and I lost quite a few times before I finally managed to beat it. There are a lot of mini-games to play and I'm sure you will find your favourite ones in there.
There are 20 morphs, 20 figurines and 52 herbs to find throughout the main game. The figurines are easy to spot, but the morphs and herbs had more challenge. The morphs are not in every scene - just check at the bottom of your screen to check whether there is a morph in that scene or not. There are two herbs in each scene to find. Find them all and you get achievements for these.
All up the game and bonuses took me about 6 hours - not skipping or using the hint in the HOPs or mini-games, so good value for money.
This is a game I will play again because I made a wrong choice in the game and Sophia's son became a victim instead of being rescued - oops.
Definitely comes recommended. I am now a loyal fan of Grandma Games and I'm now going to buy the rest of the Whispered Secrets series. Well done devs.
Well, this family game will appeal to most fishies, especially if you have younger members that you can play with. Its cute, colours are bright in each scene and has a good sense of adventure. You play Mary Gilbert, together with your brother, John (who doesn't believe in magic), who are off on an adventure they will never forget.
The graphics are very colourful, however I wish that the scenes had been a little more refined. There were many times that I had to stop and try to decipher what I was looking at to get my head around what I was supposed to do next.
Sound is good and the music is orchestral and on a loop. However, its nice to listen to.
The hidden object games are mainly slightly interactive straightforward or finding 12 items (like herbs, feathers or flowers). These are not hard to do, although some items (especially that last feather to find) were hard to see. Younger family members may need help with these.
The mini-games range from easy to medium. There are quite a few potions to make. The only one I struck quite difficult was measuring the right amount of liquid to put into the pot when making the healing potion. That one took a while.
All up the game took me a good 5 hours of so to play. It has a good sense of urgency to play, which I liked. So if you have a spare coupon then you can give this game a try.
Well fishies, if you love a true adventure with plenty to do in each scene, then you will love this game. Well done devs. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advanced, Hard and Custom modes of play; * Interactive map; * Find 31 morphs in the main game and 8 morphs in the Bonus; * 12 Achievements; * Find coins to use throughout the game.
The graphics are nicely done and I enjoyed going from scene to scene never knowing what to expect next. You are in cellars, dungeons, castles, caves - all over the place, which made it exciting to play.
The hidden object games are mainly straightforward, silhouette and matching pairs. These are very easy to do and items are clear to find.
I liked the mini-games. These are all very easy to do and you can get back to the game quickly - which is just as well because I was enjoying it.
Keep an eye out for coins throughout the game and bonus. There is a tab at the top of the screen. Pull that down and you can starting buying when you have enough coins.
The morphs are easy enough to spot, so you should an get achievement for this.
All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours to play. I loved the sense of urgency to help my Queen and having the company of the town hunk, Captain Louie, at my side.
Overall, I recommend this as a definite buy. It will appeal to most fishies and their family members. Its a light hearted, busy game, with a good sense of humour to keep a smile on your face.
I actually really enjoyed the game. Its fast paced, you play different characters and it has that feeling of dread of "what's going to happen next". There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Scout, Hiker, Ranger and Explorer modes; * Interactive map.
The graphics are very good. Colours are well defined and items you need are clear to see. Sound is good and the music is fast and creepy.
The hidden object games are mainly straightforward and silhouette. There are no morphs in the HOPs. Items are very clear to see and each one only takes a couple of minutes.
I liked the variety of mini-games. Most are quite easy so you are not bogged down with lengthy and complex puzzles - especially if you are not a lover of these. Only one took me a while towards the end of the bonus game - until I got my head around it. It wasn't hard - just took a bit of time.
So, do you get the CE or SE? In the CE, there are 20 Achievements, 19 replayable puzzles and 15 replayable HOPs. There are also 38 collectibles, 19 morphs and 10 magnetic tapes to find throughout the game and bonus.
The morphs are not in every scene, but at the bottom of your screen on the right hand side you will see a moving spiral to show if there is a morph. It will stop and glow when you have found it. So just look at the spiral to know if there is a morph or not in that scene. The collectibles change for each character, so keep an eye out. Get them all and you get an achievement for each. However, you can look for these after the game has finished if you miss any or want to find them later.
After the game has finished you can solve the clues to get into the Souvenirs Room. Go into the Collectibles box and do the puzzles to get the combinations. When you have these, then you go to 19 different locations to find items.
All up the game, bonus and extras took me about 6 hours, not skipping anything. Its a thoroughly enjoyable game, so it went very fast and I was disappointed when it finished.
Overall, its definitely worth checking out this game. I liked the characters, the gloomy town and all the other locations.
Happy playing fishies. I recommend the CE for this game.
Okay, this game was mediocre at best. The story line was awful but I did enjoy playing the mini-games and HOPs. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Sunny Beach, Shallow Water, Sailing Waters, Deep Dark Sea and Custom modes; * Interactive map; * 24 replayable HOPs in the Extras; * Find 32 fish and 32 morphs throughout game and bonus; * Use the shell (about 6 times I think) and solve a puzzle.
I really didn't mind the graphics at all. I thought scenes were clear to see and I had no problem finding any of the items needed. Sound was good and the music is orchestral.
The hidden object games are mainly straightforward, silhouette, finding 6 pairs and matching patterns to items. I enjoyed doing these. Keep an eye out for the morph in each HOP. If you miss any or want to find them later, then you can redo all the HOPs in the Extras to get 100% and find the morphs.
There are 32 fish and 32 morphs throughout the game and bonus. There is 1 fish and 1 morph in each scene. NOW, these are really challenging to find and I spent ages on them. I loved that. I firmly believe that these should be a challenge to find - otherwise why put them in there? If you miss any or want to do them later, then you can do these in the Extras and concentrate on the game instead.
There is a large shell on the left hand side of your screen. This will glow when you need to use it. It will spew out some purple/pink liquid and you then do a simple jigsaw puzzle.
All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours - a good portion of that finding the fish and morphs.
Overall, not the best of games to play and I know that this dev can do so much better. The story line is borderline ridiculous but I did enjoy roaming around the different scenes. Trial it to see if this game is for you.
The graphics are very good. There is plenty of colour, even though you are in a dark and spooky hotel. Sound is good and the music is orchestral.
The hidden object games are mainly straightforward, silhouette and finding 6 pairs of items. These are easy to do as items are clear to see.
The mini-games ranged from easy to downright hard. I spent a lot of time of these. One mini-game was getting 3 pieces of a key to the top right hand corner and it took me AGES. Sometimes when you spend too long on a mini-game, it can become boring - I only wanted a key, and there were only so many moves you could make before you were blocked from moving forward!
The character figurines, picture pieces and morphs are easy to spot. A hand comes over them anyway, so no chance of missing any. I wish we could turn that off.
All up the main game took me about 5 hours - mainly due to the mini-games. I have yet to do the bonus, but will do that another time as I want to play another game now.
Overall, its not a bad game. There is plenty to do in each scene. You won't have to use the interactive map as you pretty much stick around the same area until all tasks have been done.
I recommend that you trial it first to see if its for you.

This exquisite game carries straight on from 'Darkness of Flame - The Dark Side'. Once again you play Alice who is off on another "running out of time" adventure. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advance, Hard and Custom modes; * Interactive map; * Journal; * 1 morphing object in each scene; * Find 8 butterflies, 9 phoenix symbols, 7 apples and 8 bullfinches in the main game.
The graphics are awesome. Each scene is gorgeous and so well defined. Even scenery from far away is clear to see. I loved the way all the characters moved and ran just like we do which made it so more realistic - it makes you feel like you are part of the game.
Sound is great and the music will be familiar to you if you have played the previous games ('Darkness of Flames - The Dark Side' and 'Darkness of Flames - Missing Memories').
The hidden object games are mainly highly interactive straightforward, silhouette and putting items back. These are fun to do and mostly consist of finding one item to use to find another, etc.
There are a huge variety of mini-games ranging from medium to hard. All are accomplishable but you will need to take your time with them, and concentration is a key factor.
Keep a pen and paper with you to write clues down, as bits of paper as clues are not always there. In some mini-games you will be needing to get things in the right order or press buttons in a certain sequence, so its easier to write them down as you go.
There is a collectible and a morphing object to find in each scene. Now, you can turn off the "hand" in Custom Mode if you want to find them yourself to give you that extra challenge. This is the only developer who does this, so thank you. So, you can make it as hard or as easy as you like to find them.
The full journal tells you about your story as you travel through the game, so well worth reading.
So, do you get the CE or SE? In the CE, there are 22 Achievements, 12 replayable mini-games and 12 tin cans to find in the bonus. At the end of the game and extras, you have an extra 20 mini-games to play.
All up the game and bonus took me well into double digits playing. Its a truly wonderful game and I took my time playing all the HOPs and mini-games. If you love a challenge, then this is a perfect game to play.
Overall, I can't praise this game enough. If only I could give 10 stars. Thank you devs for this winner and I cannot wait for the next episode.
Happy playing fishies - go and get this game. I recommend that you get the CE.
This is an unusual game. Its not a scary game by any means but it is a little bizaar. Its like being in a dream where anything goes - like chairs hanging from the ceiling and hands coming out of the wall.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Easy, Medium, Hard and Custom modes; * Interactive map; * 12 Achievements; * Find 34 stained glass collectibles in game and bonus; * 14 replayable HOPs; and * 21 replayable mini-games.
The graphics are good. Its a very colourful game and scenes are well defined. Sound is good. I didn't really notice the music at all.
The hidden object games are mainly straightforward. There is one morphing object per HOP, so keep a close watch out.
The mini-games ranged from very easy to medium. Each one only took me a few minutes to do. Most of them I enjoyed doing.
I had some issues with this game and decided not to finish it. Firstly, there were long periods of blackness going from scene to scene, which were annoying. Secondly, I wasn't able to get all the collectibles (stained glass pieces). I could see them, but I wasn't able to grab them. This happened in Joanne's room and the scene before the maze. Even when I had done other tasks and went back to these scenes, I still couldn't pick them up. I don't know if this is a glitch or not.
This is a game where I think you should trial it first. In most cases I don't - I buy first after reading the reviews. Most of the time this works, but not today.

* Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advance, Hard and Custom modes; * Interactive map; * Journal; * 22 Achivements; * 12 replayable mini-games; * A further 20 mini-games in the Extras; * Find 32 morphing objects; * Find 8 butterflies, 9 phoenix symbols, 7 apples and 8 bullfinches in the main game and 12 tin cans in the bonus.

There is a collectible and a morphing object to find in each scene. Now, you can turn off the "hand" in Custom Mode if you want to find them yourself to give you that extra challenge. This is the only developer who does this, so thank you. So, you can make it as hard or as easy as you like to find them.

The 22 achievements are hard to get - I only got 18. However, this is a game I will definitely be playing again, so I can better that score.
