The storyline is a total ripoff from the Harry Potter series. It's not just a vague similarity, but completely identical details. Come on, isn't there any originality any more? I'm also stuck on level 5-15, which appears to be unsolveable.
It's a pretty ordinary "horrible haunting to solve" game

The mechanics work all right, but for once I skipped some hidden object scenes, because they got tedious. I was bemused by the Bonus Game claiming to take place "not far from St. Louis". I assure you that can't possibly be St. Louis, MO, which lacks high mountains and is scarce on deserted areas and haunted houses.
Does there always have to be this dichotomy between good children and little demons in Christmas games? It's trite and boring. And why not some normal names? "Locksie" I could just about tolerate, but "Harmfest"? The demo was plenty.
I like to skip puzzles, and I couldn't do that with all of them

I gave up on this game when it became clear that I would have to solve three puzzles underwater without skipping them. I am an inveterate puzzle skipper unless they are of a variety I enjoy. These weren't. Bah. Also, the young constable isn't convincing for the San Francisco of the period. Also "Ms."? It was used in the 1700s but not again until the 1860s. And her hairstyle was just distracting.
It's been a long time since I've seen such a badly proofread game. Why don't game developers make certain that a native English speaker checks their games? The English in this one was awful.
Why doesn't this site have walkthroughs anymore? I am stuck on the ridiculous "chess game" and can't figure out what's wanted. Is it even worth it for me to struggle with this game?
I found the game extremely predictable and there were just so many "traditional" elements that make me bored now: a full-dress butler at a semi-ruined mansion, appearing in the woods to welcome callers? A secretly evil literary agent? A prize-winning author who thinks a medal is "something thin" enough to open a photograph? A haunted camcorder? Who even uses them these days? And I am tired of male leading characters. This gets a resounding MEH from me.
The storyline was hackneyed, and I despised all of those fiddly little "find a shape" puzzles. I don't ever want to play anything from this series again. Why did I use my precious credits on it?
