The game starts out with hints and pushes to get you to do what you need to, but over time the hints stop and you’re on your own. The progress is basically linear, but you have to figure out how to get to the next step. I was lost one time for 20 minutes because I forgot to get my reward and therefore missed my next quest. I like to play a game for a few minutes and then do something else, but I played this one all day.
Previous M3 games from this family were not particularly good but at first I wanted to think that this one might turn out to be great. Then reality set in and I realized that all of the mistakes they made with the previous games were repeated here. There are too many obstacles which look similar and make you try the wrong thing to remove them. Then there are the backgrounds which are almost impossible to see; when you get down to just one more to break you first have to search all over to find it. Boring. Then there are obstacles like the growing spider webs which were what I hated before and they did not have the sense to remove them. Basically this game goes on for weeks and maybe months because it can put you to sleep. Bad effort.
I enjoyed this game and finished it and I am still playing the levels after completing the main game. Initially, I found it very weird and I thought I might not like it, but with the dearth of games being offered for play this year, I bought it and I am glad I did. However, I can say that I still find it weird and I have no idea how I won some levels.
This is a game which is so far over the top with the story that it just has to be fun. I found it to be a fun and relaxing game just trying to be dumb. However, around the twentieth level it becomes tricky and harder to complete. So far, it has made me laugh and that is what I look for. If all you want is fun and escape, this game is it.
This entry into an otherwise mediocre series is marred by a spider which attempts to ‘force’ you to play faster and by burning barrels which try to speed you up and therefore destroy the fun of playing. Minus 2 stars for the spider and another for the barrels and the computer generated artwork. The low quality of this game forces me to not recommend it for anyone.
Here we have a M3 with an interesting backstory which actually captured my interest and held it. The game is repetitive in places but I played it for 18 hours straight and finished it the next day. In addition to being a M3, the designers have elements of adventure and hidden objects mixed in like some Frankenstein game, but it worked for me. I was totally absorbed by the game.
One may select to play this game timed or not, but either way half the levels are timed. That’s the first of many stupid things with this loser of a game. The sea battles are hurry up timed levels which detract from the game and are plain stupid. Then there are the islands where you grab chests. None can be won the first time and are not worth playing again. One can play and lose and then go forward without trying to replay the stiupid levels but in the CE portion, I could not skip one island and had to delete the game. Don’t waste money on this stupid excuse for a game.
To exit from this game, one must hit menu twice, quit twice and OK once. That should illustrate how poorly this game was written. There are power ups which the authors have made mandatory to use in order to finish a level. Not good. This was a horrible M3 to play.
I initially had trouble thinking that this game could be as bad as the reviews, but it came somewhat close. It still has the awful timer, I hate that, and it still has a clunky feel to playing that makes it less than exciting. It seems like there are obstacles just because they had to put them there. Overall, I cannot see why I’d enjoy this game
Another formulaic offering with a timer one cannot escape. I hate being rushed -- points deducted for that. There is some strategy but it is balanced against long waits for resources -- points deducted for that. The developer has received this criticism before and continues to ignore feedback -- points deducted for that.
