From the opening animation sequence where we find ourselves flying/soaring through and over waterfalls and rivers and the desert, the graphics are outstanding. The storyline is clever and engaging. Mostly, what I liked about this, as compared to so many others, was that the colors and scenery were bright and inviting - magical - versus the typical dark gloominess so often depicted in these stories.
I played on casual, as I always do since I'm just playing for pleasure, but one thing I would suggest is that the map offer a clearer sense for places where something can actually be done.
Other than that, I give this one an A+ and highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

I Could Listen To The Story Reader All Night Long!
In many ways this is your typical one-up/one-down solitaire game that is moderately challenging. But, the legend tale that is told is a wonderful story in itself, and the gentleman who reads the tale has an incredible voice that draws one into the saga being told. That, to me, is what sets this game apart from so many of the others. Kudos!
Of course, there are a couple of small things that I would like to see improved/changed: Please add the ability to re-play the hand if the player wants to improve his/her score; The wilds that can be 'purchased' with the score coins are specific numbered cards... If the player is purchasing multiple wilds at once, please make them different. I had some games where I kept buying a wild, hoping for a useful card, only to draw four or five of the same card #i.e. all 6's#. Finally, the power-ups for purchase in the store could be a bit more robust, as with your other games.
Thank you!!!
I recommend this game!

Fun, Great Animation - The Bar Has Been Raised Again
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game! The animated frog Princes are delightful, the whole story is very well done. There are a lot of mini-games in unusual places that are just challenging enough and in a wide variety so they don't get boring.
There aren't very many hidden-object tasks, which is okay with me. The ones that are there are combo hidden object/mini game so they are more interesting.
I really, really enjoyed this game and will be on the look out for more games from Shaman Games. Keep up the great work - you're setting a new 'standard', or else spoiling me - not sure which!
I recommend this game!

This is the third year in a row that I've enjoyed the holiday HOG game, but this one is by far my favorite - they just get better and better each year.
There are so many delightful interactive bits in almost every scene in this game that it's just fun to click on things to see what they'll do. The story line is wonderful, and the scenery is beautifully done. The voice over actors really draw in the player, and the game is very clever.
This one had me sitting here smiling and even going 'oooo' and 'aaahhh' at the small details that were attended to.
I can't recommend this highly enough! Truly an enchanting holiday game! I already can't wait to see what the creators come up with next year.
I recommend this game!

Amaranthine Voyage: The Living Mountain
Your strange travels continue in this sequel to the exciting game that took you on an Amaranthine Voyage...
Thank you, Eipix, for the stunning graphics and detail in this game. It was so refreshing to finally see scenery that is full of light and beauty rather than the gloomy pall that most of the HOG games depict!
The story is very engaging, and the HOG's are clever with their panoramic sweep from one section to another. The mini-games are challenging enough, and enjoyable.
However, what I really enjoyed was seeing each scene unfold - all gorgeous in their rendering. And, the animation sequences and interaction with the characters enhanced the story.
Really excellent - I'll look for more games by Eipix - they just keep getting better!
I recommend this game!

Rite of Passage: Child of the Forest
The lighthouse fails and darkness invades Willow Ridge. Your husband runs into the forest for answers, unaware of the shadow hunting him.
This was just a lot of fun to play, and the story line and mini-games were clever and engaging. The graphics are very good and the voice-overs help to bring the player into the story. I'd highly recommend this as a nice switch from the typical HOG games! The only slight disappointment - like some other games this one has you collecting acorns along the way with the goal of collecting X number of them. So after being vigilant and making sure to look for these in each scene - and collecting them all - I kind of expect to get something in return, i.e. access to a bonus chapter, etc. But, there was nothing, so really no point in bothering to collect the acorns.
I recommend this game!

The graphics in this game were stunningly beautiful and had incredible detail - just amazing. The game flowed very well, with a lot of scenes and the storyline was enjoyable. The mini-games were varied, which kept them entertaining, although not overly challenging - which is fine with me. The HOGs were easy and still had clever interactive aspects. Overall, a very enjoyable game to play, with each scene being an incredible work of art! Kudos to the developers - am already looking forward to the next Myths of the World adventure!

European Mystery: Scent of Desire
Several young women have gone missing in Paris. Now only you can stop a maniac's murderous trail of fragrance and deception!
The graphics and video integration throughout this game were very impressive and really helped the story line come to life. There are a lot of different scenes, all beautifully rendered, and a map to help the player quickly navigate from one area to another which I appreciate.
The mini-games are clever and challenging, but solvable with a bit of patience and perseverance. Throughout the game the player collects 'scents' that they then mix according to recipes to create 'perfumes/potions' that help solve obstacles. Although the game seemed to be over quickly, it was really fun and very well done. Kudos to the developers!!

Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden
Find your missing fiancé in the deepest parts of the ocean. Discover the forgotten underwater city hiding many spine-chilling secrets.
I really enjoyed the storyline in this game and it had just the right number of HOGs. The mini games were challenging but didn't take too long to figure out - very fun. There are a lot of different scenes on different levels but the map helps you to remember where you are and where you need to go to do an action/activity. Even the bonus game ("last chapter") was good. Overall, I'd highly recommend this game!

Fairway Solitaire: Tee to Play
Fairway Solitaire: Tee To Play is an award-winning combination of solitaire and golf. Play sequential cards to create long drives. Long drives make better scores!
I was totally addicted to Fairway solitaire so was excited when the new Tee to Play version came out. As such, I guess I was expecting some new twists and storyline, etc. for the new version, but it is largely the same as the older Fairway.
This newer version seems to have the exact same gopher story (which is fun to watch the first couple of times), the same trophy awards and power-ups for purchase in the golf shop. The main differences are that: - Now the player can purchase additional golf bucks by spending more real money - The player only has to complete 6 courses with getting 3-stars per course in order to get the bonus 5,000 gold bucks vs. the older version where completing 9 courses with 3-stars each was required so you can accumulate bucks a bit faster.
As well, while this might just be 'beginners' luck with this game, I got quite a few 1000 bucks bonuses for long card strings much earlier in the game than previously when it seemed that those occurred less frequently.
I was really hoping that Big Fish would add to the scorecard the 'under par' requirement to obtain the 3-star rating for each course, but that's still a mystery until you finish the course and either get it or miss it, same as before. If I knew how close I was to getting the 3-star rating I might be more tempted to purchase extra clubs, etc. to make it.
Overall, Fairway is a very addictive game but it's probably not worth buying both the last version AND the Tee to Play version since they're virtually identical.
